The second generation of the Smart ForTwo Coupe, chassis C451, debuted for the 2007 model year. It retained iconic Smart ForTwo design features like interchangeable body panels and a Tridion safety cell. The Passion trim level adds power windows, air conditioning, and a panoramic glass roof, setting it apart from the Pure trim level. This 2008 Smart ForTwo Passion is finished in Blue Metallic over Design Beige with Cloth upholstery and is now available for auction out of Virginia while showing just over 72k miles on the odometer.
The exterior of this Smart ForTwo Passion boasts a Blue Metallic finish. Black-painted 15" Genius Newton wheels wear Continental tires at all four corners. A black roof complements additional black accents on the door handles and fuel tank door. The seller reports a ceramic coating performed was recently applied and a crack was repaired in the left taillight lens.
Inside, this Smart ForTwo wears Design Beige with Cloth upholstery. Being equipped with the Passion trim package, this 2008 example includes air conditioning, power windows, and a two-speaker CD stereo. Additional interior amenities include heated seats, a rear defroster, central power locks, WeatherTech mats, tinted windows, and a cargo/dog guard net. Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and dashboard-mounted analog clock and tachometer.
This Smart ForTwo Passion uses a 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder engine producing 70 HP at 5,800 rpm and 68 lb.-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Getrag 5-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. The CARFAX vehicle history report shows routine servicing in Virginia and Maryland throughout the car's life. The seller states that the Not Actual Mileage brand on the CARFAX is the result of a clerical DMV error.
The sale will include a clean title.

@oceangreen59 Oh, and I don't consider $224 per YEAR with Progressive high insurance cost!
You might want to get a quote from Progressive just so you know...
@oceangreen59 Not my experience. Most local MB dealers still work on Smart and supply parts too. German focused independents too. Parts are easily obtained from Europe where over 2M Smarts have been sold. Any OBDII scanner can read codes. Smart cars are becoming a cult following due to their exceptional safety rating, high mileage and reliability. Much support in the internet too! Just check out youtube...

@trich312 Thanks! Why not? I have a farm. They are legal in VA for up to 75 miles from registered address! In coastal VA "Farm Use" plates are often seen, along with "Commercial Waterman" plates. Today one can find them on the shelf at Tractor Supply, HD, etc., but next year they must be obtained only from VA DMV for $15.
I like the license plates! GLWTA
