Finished in Speed Yellow over a Black leather interior, this 2008 Porsche Cayman S is equipped with a 3.4-liter flat-six engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and was optioned to an original sticker price of over $79k. Factory options include 19” Sport Design wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), a Bose Surround Sound System, the Bi-Xenon Headlight Package, and much more. Modifications include a roll bar, OMP seats, Sabelt harnesses, an LN deep sump, upgraded brakes, and an Ultimate air oil separator. This Cayman S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York showing approximately 52k miles on the odometer.
This example comes finished in Speed Yellow with aluminum-look front lip spoilers, side air intakes, and front grilles. It rides on optional 19” Sport Design wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2021. Other options include the Bi-Xenon Headlight Package and a chrome exhaust pipe. Additional equipment includes fog lights, optional bi-xenon headlights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, auto-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and dual center-exit exhaust tips. The seller notes some chips on the hood, along with some cracking on the side air intake vents. Exterior modifications include tinted windows and front and rear tow hooks. The seller also notes to have participated in three track days with the car. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Black leather with matching floor mats and has been optioned with the Power Seat Package, heated seats, a Bose Surround Sound System, a remote CD changer, self-dimming mirrors & rain sensor, and PCM 2.1 with extended navigation. Other options include the gear lever, handbrake lever, rear center console, and multi-function steering wheel in aluminum look, along with an aluminum footrest, and seat belts in Speed Yellow. The seller has installed a set of OMP CCRST seats with Sabelt harnesses, as well as a roll bar that has been fabricated and installed by Palmer Motorsports. The seller reports that the airbag light is on due to the seats being replaced, and new TPMS sensors are needed.
Powered by a 3.4-liter flat-six engine, the Cayman S sends up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transaxle. Performance options include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The seller notes that modifications include an upgraded LN deep sump oil kit, an Ultimate air oil separator, Sebro brake rotors, and Ferodo brake pads.
This sale will include the original factory seats and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Very clean, well-maintained Cayman. If the buyer is planning to use the car for track days I would recommend installing a removable steering wheel.”

@TurboSuz520 the cage was not built to any specific specification, but it was fabricated and installed by a highly qualified fabricator. There are no signs of bore scoring or any issues with the IMS that I am aware of. Thank you.

Is the cage certified / built to any particular specs?
Also any signs of bore scoring (known to the 987.1) or IMS issues?

I have uploaded the photos that I took when I had the Cayman in a lift today. Thank you!

@garyjlittle Hi Gary, The OMP are on adjustable brackets that were made by the fabricator that installed the seats, harness and roll cage. The original seats are power. You would need to remove the brackets for the OMP seats to re-install the OEM seats or to install a different aftermarket seat. The reason I am suggesting a removable steering wheel is just to make it easier to get in and out of the car (with the race seats currently in the car). Hope that helps. Thank you
Hi - Are the seats in a fixed location or are they on sliders? I am trying to reconcile the invoice that seems to show sliders, with the comment that indicates the recommendation for a removable steering wheel. Related to this - what would be involved in replacing the seats either with stock or alternate seats (something like Recaro Pole Position).

@classic-michael Hi Michael, currently the car has an airbag light from replacing the seats and the TPMS light is on. It is currently registered, insured and has a current inspection. Since the racing seats and Rollbar were installed I avoid driving it on the street. The IMS has not been replaced to my knowledge. It is dry underneath. Tomorrow I will put the car on a lift and take photos to upload to the listing. Thank you.
@cgcarvell Hello, I had a DME completed today and uploaded it to the listing.
few questions-IMS replaced?, any fluid leaks under car? any check lights on? also I take it car is street legal-Thanks
@d4nimal I will see if I can get a DME completed before the auction is over.
If you want this to sell, please get a DME.
Will do! Stay tuned....
@cgcarvell thanks for the follow up
If you are able to upload a cold start video that would be helpful around these items

@MakeLoveNotBidWars Hello! I apologize for the mistake. The invoice showing the exhaust and gas tank filler area was for a different car. The invoice that shows the work for the roll bar, seats and harnesses are for this car. The exhaust is stock, that cats are in place, and nothing was done around the gas filler. I will get some photos of the undercarriage and upload them to the listing. Sorry for the confusion.
@Leary888 Hello! I have not done a Blackstone analysis or run a DME. I do not have any history on the car that indicates that the water pump was replaced. Thank you for your interest.
@nulswei02 The seats are leather, both are power - 8 or 10 or 14 way (not sure of the proper designation). I took photos of both seats and uploaded them to the site. I am not sure when they will appear. The roll cage is welded in. You might be able to remove it, but I imagine it would be some work. Thank you
The receipts show a lot of work done to the exhaust, what's the final product look and sound like? Does it still have catalytic converters?
It also mentions custom work done to the gas tank filler and that general area of the car, can you go into more detail about what was done?
Do you have any photos of underneath the car?
Thanks!
Hi there - three questions for me
1) Has a blackstone oil analysis ever been performed to indicate potential bore scoring?
2) Has a DME been run?
3) Any knowledge if the water pump has been changed over the cars life?
Bid in the amount of $987
Hello!
Can you tell us about the original seats? Base or Sport Seat Seat Plus? Also, is the roll cage a permanent fixture, or can it be removed?
Thanks!
