Up for auction is a 2008 Porsche Cayman S 6-Speed. With its mid-mounted engine and rigid lightweight chassis, the Cayman is arguably one of the best handling vehicles in the Porsche lineup. This example was sold new in Florida and eventually made its way to Tucson, AZ where it is currently being offered in excellent, turn-key condition.
The Guards Red paint is stated to be in excellent condition with only minor road wear including a typical rock chips and one minuscule ding on the passenger door. Paint Protection Film (3M) covers the entire front end of the vehicle, giving the next owner peace of mind. Currently installed are a set of OEM 18” aluminum 5-spoke wheels that wear a set of new Continental Extreme Contact tires.
Inside, you will find a sporty black leather interior. It is stated to be in excellent condition showing virtually no major signs of wear. The entertainment system has been replaced by a Pioneer 2300NEX with Apple Car Play/Android Auto connectivity. The original head unit will be included with sale.
Power comes from a mid-engine 3.4L flat-six which produces 295 HP and is connected to a smooth 6-speed manual transmission. At 110k miles, the original engine was replaced with an identical block from a 2008 Design Edition-1 Cayman S showing just 48k miles. The new engine was professionally installed by McIlvain Motors in Tempe, AZ. The car is said to be in exceptional running condition and ready to be driven by its next owner.
