Pairing a 5-speed manual transmission with its mid-mounted naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six engine, this 2008 Porsche Cayman is finished in Speed Yellow over a Black leather interior. It was further optioned with 18” Cayman S wheels, automatic climate control, heated front seats, and the Power Seat Package, while upgrades include a Numeric Racing short shifter, a Soul Performance cat-back exhaust, an IPD plenum, Bilstein B16 suspension, and more. This lifelong California car is now being offered for auction by its seller with approximately 25k miles showing on the odometer.

This Cayman is finished in Speed Yellow with an optional Show Finish (740) and features front fog lights, side air intakes, black exterior trim, a speed-activated rear spoiler, black brake calipers with yellow Porsche lettering, and center-mounted exhaust outlets. Optional 18” Cayman S wheels were selected with colored Porsche crest center caps, have been refinished in grey, and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2022. Front paint protection film has been applied, and the seller describes the exterior as being in excellent condition aside from minor road wear. The accompanying CARFAX report notes an accident in February 2019, which the seller states did not result in damage to the vehicle.

Inside, the Black standard leather cabin features optional heated front seats, the Power Seat Package, automatic climate control, and interior-colored floor mats. Standard features include an 8k-rpm tachometer, 175-mph speedometer, gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, a Control Center display, power windows, power door locks, an AM/FM stereo, and cruise control. Modifications include an Alcantara center console, an Alpine stereo with Apple CarPlay, a hands-free microphone, a JBL amplifier, Morel Component speakers, a Rennline phone mount, and a rearview camera.

Power comes from a 2.7-liter flat-six engine, which generates up to 245 HP and 201 lb-ft of torque stock. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission, allowing for acceleration from 0 to 60 MPH in just under 6 seconds. Upgrades include a Numeric Racing short shifter with performance shift cables, a Soul Performance cat-back exhaust, an IPD plenum, a BMC air filter, Bilstein B16 coilover suspension, Tarett Engineering camber plates, and adjustable rear tow links. The seller adds that the vehicle has been regularly serviced, with the most recent maintenance items including new air oil separators at the time the IPD plenum was installed, and a new air filter. An iCarsoft OBD tool, stainless steel brake lines, new spark plugs, new ignition coil packs, and an oil filter will accompany the sale.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a car cover, service records, spare parts, and two sets of keys.

The seller would like you to know: “This tastefully enhanced 2008 Porsche Cayman is finished in Speed Yellow with black leather interior. The optional 18″ Cayman S wheels have been refinished in Evo Grey. Thanks for your interest. We have owned this car for nearly four wonderful years, and now it’s time for someone else to enjoy this 'Concours-winning Cayman'. Service is up to date. Thanks for you interest.

Regarding the accident report in February 2019, the previous owner’s statement says: Yes, I ran over a man's foot. I came around a bend in the road and he was J walking at night on an unlighted street and not at an intersection. The police examined the situation and the vehicle and determined it was the pedestrian's fault. There was no damage to the vehicle, but it was reported as an accident.”

A question has come up a few times about original parts and the stock exhaust. Any parts removed from the car are included with the sale including the exhaust, shifter, stereo, etc. I kept most everything except the old struts. Cheers!

@julios1234 , Thank you! Genuine Porsche part on eBay of all places, the receipt is pictured in the gallery. The dealership was far more expensive.

@pcarman Thank you very much for your follow up and explanation. To be honest, I did exactly the same thing in a 2005 911 I owned. In this car as you noted it really should not be an issue. Thank you again.

@RBJ1965 , Thank you! The short answer is no, it hasn't been replaced.
We had a 2001 Boxster S prior to this car and had the IMS replaced. When we did it discovered that it probably wasn't even necessary. My understanding is the later years are not as much a problem as cars from 1997-2005 with a single row IMS. I encourage anyone to do their own research, there is a lot of good information on forums and the LN Engineering website.
I've installed a LN magnetic drain plug as a preventative measure and routine service hasn't shown any reason for concern. Cheers!

Hello Pcar Enthusiast, thanks for viewing this 2008 Cayman

The car speaks for itself, if I’ve overlooked something I’m happy to answer any questions or provide additional photos so feel free to reach out.

It turns heads and gets compliments everywhere it goes, fun to drive and handles great.

In the nearly four years it has been owned, we’ve added approximately 11k miles. During that time the car was a PCA Concours winner for the first couple years and second place at Werks Reunion in Monterey. Since then it has mostly been driven on weekends.

Time has come to let someone else enjoy the drive.
