The second generation of Porsche’s popular mid-engine sports car, the 987 Boxster debuted in 2005 with updated styling, increased power, and innovative technology. This 2008 example comes finished in Black over matching leather upholstery and pairs a 5-speed manual transmission with its naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six. It was further optioned with 19” Turbo wheels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, Bose Surround Sound, the Bi-Xenon Headlight Package, and more. Showing approximately 58k miles on the odometer, this Boxster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.

This 987 comes finished in Black with a matching convertible soft top. Optional appointments include the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package and 19” Turbo wheels which come dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires mounted in October 2022. Additional equipment consists of body-color roll bars, quarter panel intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and a central exhaust outlet. The convertible top and motors are said to have been replaced approximately 2,200 miles ago. The CARFAX report notes minor damage to the front end in May 2018 and minor damage to the right front area in September 2021. The seller adds that the front bumper cover and right-front fender have been replaced and refinished, while the hood and left front fender were also refinished. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features Black standard leather upholstery with optional heated front seats, a Porsche wind stop (deflector), and black floor mats. Optional amenities also include automatic climate control, the Bose Surround Sound System, and self-dimming mirrors with a rain sensor. Other equipment encompasses a Porsche CDR24 CD stereo, cruise control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel & shift knob. The seller notes one of the cupholders fails to retract into the dashboard due to a missing screw.

Powered by a naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six engine, the Boxster sends up to 240 HP and 199 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. Standard performance equipment includes Porsche Stability Management (PSM), traction control, 4-wheel vented disc brakes, an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), and an Active Brake Differential (ABD). The seller adds that an authorized Porsche dealer carried out a 60k-mile service in October 2022, and work under their ownership has included an engine oil change and battery & alternator replacement. Additionally, the CARFAX report shows a total of 15 service history entries.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: "I purchased this convertible last summer, and since then, I’ve replaced the TPMS, battery, and alternator. It has been trouble-free, and I've enjoyed driving it as my second car. Everything is power-operated and functional, with no leaks. The only minor issue is a cup holder that doesn't stay retracted due to a missing screw, which is an easy 10-15 minute fix for someone handy. Under my ownership, there have been no accidents, dents, or scratches, and it was always garaged. Recent major maintenance includes an oil change, new TPMS, battery, and alternator about 1,900 miles ago; a new convertible top and motor assembly, 60K mile service, manual transmission service, and four new tires at the Porsche dealership about 2,200 miles ago; and four new brakes about 12,500 miles ago. I have a book of service records from prior owners. I'm selling to get a 4-seater convertible for this summer. Most major maintenance is complete, so the new owner can enjoy it trouble-free. There is a minor accident history from the prior owner, involving a right fender bender and a front bumper scratch."
