Up for auction is this low mileage 2008 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet finished in Ruby Red Metallic over a Black full leather interior. With its iconic Mezger powerplant and impressive performance figures, the 997 Turbo remains one of the most popular water-cooled Porsches to date. This example has been driven just over 18k miles (30k kilometers) and is presented in like-new condition with a recent service performed. It is now being offered out of Calgary, Alberta by its current owner.
Finished in Ruby Red Metallic, this example is said to remain in excellent condition with an application of paint protection film covering the front bumper, half hood, and half of the fenders. A few key design features of the 997 Turbo include a widened body-shell along with integrated air vents and a retractable rear wing. This example is also specially ordered with all-red taillights and a set of 19” turbo wheels that wear new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Inside, you will find a very well kept Black full leather interior that features supple leather seating along with Porsche crests in the headrests and Ruby Red accents. A few additional drive-centric amenities include heated seating along with a multifunction steering wheel and a Tiptronic S automatic transmission for the ultimate daily-driving experience.
Originally developed for the 911 GT1 Le Mans car, the Mezger engine is regarded by many Porsche experts to be the ultimate water-cooled power plant. Furthermore, this engine does not suffer from IMS bearing related issues as its oil system ensures constant lubrication. This 997’s 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine delivers approximately 480 HP to all four wheels by way of a Tiptronic S automatic transmission. The optional Tiptronic port chrono package livens up the ride while putting even more control in the hands of the driver. A recent service was carried out including an oil and filter change. This Turbo is said to be up-to-date an in excellent running condition with records showing consistent maintenance throughout its life.
The sale will include two keys, books, a clean US Carfax report as well as a Canadian Carfax report. The seller believes the car to be a US-Spec vehicle. Do not miss your opportunity to own this well-kept and nicely configured 997 Turbo. The seller notes that Canadian buyers will need to pay 5% GST and any provincial tax outside of Alberta.

Paint readings have been uploaded. As mentioned, at some point a rear bumper repair was done via the Local Porsche dealer. Not known if it was a make right from an earlier bruise or an incident on their lot as they suggest, but I can't see much of an indication of work to the bumper so it would have been slight.

@Sjlouden1 as per vin - 08
just to clarify, is it an 08 or 09?
It does not appear on the CarFax shown but the Porsche dealer had a repair done on the rear bumper area in 2015. I can't see any indication of a repair.
@Coachmule we are seeing a significant loosening here, but things are crossing the border regularly. Many vehicles are going both ways right now. It depends on shippers own policies as to whether they are crossing or not as I understand.
During Covid how do you plan to get it into the USA? There’s nothing going across the border I understand.
Bid in the amount of $300
@TyStav I think there is a contact seller button on site.
@Enthusiast thanks for the info? Could we exchange info or email as to connect directly on the vehicle. Thanks.
@TyStav At this point I think only the daytime running lights were activated. And in the display the Metric switched on. The speedo is still in mph. There should be no need for other compliance items.
Beautiful car! Were any mods done when it was imported to Canada to register it there? Anything that needs to be done (or in-done) to Register in the US. I was told cost to certify for US could be $3400.00.
