The 997 Turbo features wider bodywork than a contemporary Carrera model as well as integrated side air intakes, unique bumpers, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. This 2008 example is finished in Slate Grey Metallic, a classic Porsche color from the late 1980s. It came factory-equipped with optional red taillights, painted rocker panels, and 19” 911 Turbo wheels. Other features include red brake calipers, front fog lights, daytime running lights, dual exhaust outlets, and an electric sunroof. The seller notes some paint touch-ups are present on the front end, rockers, and rear quarter panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with premium Brown Natural Leather upholstery complemented by a black Alcantara headliner and aluminum-look trim. Options include heated seats with Porsche-crested headrests, a smooth leather steering wheel, a 6-disc CD changer, and the Sport Chrono Package Turbo which adds a dashboard-mounted stopwatch. The car also offers power seats with driver memory, automatic climate control, steering wheel mounted Tiptronic shift buttons, a Bose sound system, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). Some discoloration is noted on the center console and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
A twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine delivers up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 3.4 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH. Stopping power comes from 350mm cross-drilled discs paired with fixed 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The CARFAX report shows a consistent maintenance history including service at Porsche Fresno in August 2023.
