Up for auction is this 2008 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a black full leather interior. Originally purchased in the greater Toronto area, this Turbo was acquired by its second owner in the summer of 2019 from a Porsche dealer in Ontario. Now showing approximately 27k kilometers on the odometer (17k miles), this highly-equipped Turbo is being offered for auction in excellent condition by a seller in Ontario, Canada.
The Basalt Black Metallic finish on this Turbo is stated to be in excellent all-original condition. Shortly after purchasing this car, the seller applied a handsome amount of paint protective film from the vehicle's nose to tail. Additionally, the entire car has been treated with a ceramic coating to ensure years of carefree exterior maintenance. The seller notes that this car was only driven in nice weather keeping it in the highest level of condition possible. Exterior features include all-red taillights, a power operated black cabriolet top and Turbo style wheels which come wrapped in new Michelin tires.
This Turbo has been tastefully appointed with a black full leather interior. The seller notes that the interior remains in exemplary condition with ceramic coating protecting all applicable surfaces. This Turbo boasts an original sticker price of over $208k (CAD) and comes outfitted with just about every option a driver could ask for. Factory specifications equipped for this 997 include:
This Turbo remains stock with all gauges, electrical components and accessories fully functional.
This Turbo is equipped with a 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine that delivers 488 HP to all four wheels by way of a desirable 6-speed manual transmission featuring a locking rear differential. With this bulletproof drivetrain, the Turbo achieves a 0-60 time of approximately 3.8 seconds while maxing out at a top speed of 193 mph. The Variable Turbine Geometry utilized in these engines adapts the vanes on the turbine wheel to reduce turbo lag at low speeds while opening to prevent excessive back pressure at high RPM. Distinctive yellow calipers signify Porsche’s robust carbon-ceramic (PCCB) braking system that curbs this car’s impressive power. A comprehensive service and safety inspection was carried out by a certified Porsche dealer in May of 2019 and the seller states that this Turbo remains in excellent driving condition.
The sale of this Turbo will include two sets of keys, all associated books and documentation, a car cover, service records and a clean Carfax report. This vehicle is offered with a clean bill of health as well as a clear title. Highlighting low original miles, a traditional 6-speed manual transmission, and a legendary Mezger engine, this just might be the 997 you’ve been waiting for.

@zanglemyer10 the build sheet has been uploaded. The car is matching numbers so build sheet will reflect the car that’s listed.
@zanglemyer10 hello. I haven’t requested a COA. The Oakville Porsche dealership provided me the window sticker of the cars build. I have asked PCARMARKET to post this.
Hi, Does the sale include a Certificate of Authenticity. I understand, would you allow me, not a PPI to see the car ahead of sale?
@zanglemyer10 the car is listed as an auction bid and will be sold to the highest bigger if the reserve is met. If the car is purchased by you, I’d gladly welcome a PPI.
@Blake56 What is your schedule in the next few days for an in person look see of the vehicle?
@zanglemyer10 I have the car listed as auction with 3 days and hours remaining at the moment. People have made offers and are also interested.
@zanglemyer10 the Porsche was purchased from Porsche in Oakville ON this past summer as they sold it for the previous owner who like I said is a huge Porsche enthusiast/collector. I won’t drive the car this time of year but would consider a site visit to confirm the quality and condition of the car.
@zanglemyer10 if you look close enough there’s a PCA sticker in the back windshield. I kept this sticker on the car as the previous owner was also a member of pca and feel it suites the car and also shows that true Porsche enthusiasts owned this car.
@zanglemyer10 Would you consider Pfaff Porsche taking a look at the car to verify its quality?
@Blake56 I remain interested in this awesome 997 turbo. I live in Rochester, NY and am a member of the Upper Canada Region PCA. Will you entertain a non auction sale?
@Avant911 I believe the cars digital read outs can be changed to miles (though I haven’t done this as I’ve had no reason to) the dashboard speedometer is currently in Kilometres...
Does the car need to be converted to US specs if brought into the States?

@Mercyhealth 27,000 kms (Canada) and/or 17,000 miles (US)
@Mercyhealth It’s a Canadian car and located in Toronto. The car has 27,412 KM’s on it ?
@Blake56 there is a difference between the car’s odometer reading and the advertised mileage.
Wow if this doesn’t stir the bidding community to go big I will cry. Such a great build with ceramic brakes and nice touches in the interior. Beautiful car and I promise you the buyer with love the Mezger. Good Luck!!
Absolutely will sell to a US buyer. Buyer have to arrange shipping but willing to work with a serious buyer with arrangements.
Are you interested in selling to a US buyer just over the boarder?
