Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission mated to its twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine, this 2008 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet was configured at an original MSRP exceeding $155k. Finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Cocoa Special Leather interior, it features the Sport Chrono Package Turbo, various painted exterior components, the Parking Assist System, heated seats, a multitude of leather options, a remote 6-disc CD changer, a module for telephone PCM, and much more. This 911 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona showing approximately 4,300 miles on the odometer.

The Turbo-specific bodywork comprises wider fenders, integrated side air intakes, and unique bumpers compared to the Carrera. Finished in GT Silver Metallic with a Cocoa convertible top, this example was selected with a model designation deletion along with a painted front spoiler lip, front air intakes, and rocker panels. It rides on 19” Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2019-2020. The seller notes a minor surface scratch on the passenger side mirror. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is upholstered in Cocoa Special Leather and features heated, power-operated front seats with Porsche-crested headrests. Additional options include interior-colored floor mats, the Parking Assist System, a telephone PCM module, a remote 6-disc CD changer, the Sport Chrono Package Turbo, a storage compartment lid with a model logo, the gear lever & handbrake in aluminum & leather, and illuminated stainless steel door entry guards. Optional leather appointments include a thicker Smooth Leather steering wheel, the Leather Package Switch Panel, a leather rear center console, and a leather-covered steering column, sun visors, and inner sill parts. The seller notes that an aftermarket radar detector and Bluetooth device have been installed.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine, the 997 Turbo sends up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package Turbo adds a Sport drive mode and a temporary overboost function providing increased peak torque of 502 lb.-ft over a certain rpm range. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 3.8 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH. Stopping power is handled by cross-drilled 350mm discs clamped by fixed 6-piston calipers in front and fixed 4-piston calipers in the rear. The seller states a service, pre-purchase inspection, and a DME test were performed, with results shown in the gallery.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I wanted to say a few things. I acquired this car around this time last year after I received a call and was told about its availability. Even though I am a dealer I still get excited about getting some cars and the anticipation of it showing up on the truck is almost like when we were kids waiting to open our gifts on those special days. It’s one of those things I think we all miss when we move into adulthood. So, the day it finally arrived I remember just waiting for the truck to pull up. Mind you I bought this to sell it and I thought to myself uh oh… Number one no-no as a dealer is don’t get attached to the cars. But as I mentioned previously, I am a Porsche guy at heart so…so much for the 30–90-day turn-around. This cab only has 4,300 miles and prior to my acquisition of the car, it had 1 single owner. The previous owner was CEO of SalesForce Marc Benioff who first bought the car in California then moved it to his residence in Hawaii where he also re-registered it in an LLC. I have attached some Porsche literature with both his name and the LLC together sharing the same address as SalesForce. All that aside, it has an interesting ownership history and the means to maintain it properly were certainly there. I have all the original books and other ownership literature that came with the car when new including the window sticker. I have followed many 997 turbo auctions to make sure that I am providing things that it seems people are interested in knowing. So as part of the servicing that I did on the car to make it ready for sale, I had an inspection done and have provided the DME report. I also took some detailed pictures of the undercarriage as well as paint meter reading photos. The driving video is probably a bit too long and the wind noise sucks but you can’t fault me for lack of thoroughness. I want to make it as easy as possible for those who are interested in bidding to do so by eliminating as much doubt as I can. I will also be a very attentive seller and do my best to address any questions. I will be posting an additional video in a couple of days which will show a cold start, the exterior lights functioning, the soft top going up and down and the car in motion from many different angles. So here we are a year later after making excuse after excuse as to why I didn’t start constructing the listing. I didn’t want to sell it. I may never own another like it and with values going up and up to even try will push it way beyond my means. The point of this story is that when you are looking at the listings of these beautiful cars, it can be more than just the sale. It’s the love of the cars that you’re seeing in the presentation that makes them so successful in the conveyance. Remember the Willie Nelson song “To All the Girls I Loved Before”? It’s that! So, although I am no video professional, I am trying to express my appreciation for this one… Enjoy!!”

    Wanted to encourage everyone to watch the videos and also take the time to really look at all the photos. I really didn't leave anything to the imagination. There is lots of coverage there to help you feel confident about your bidding. Thanks to all the bidders so far. Especially that last one starting to push the respect up toward the levels a car like this deserves.

    @X33X . Thank you for the comment. It was enjoyable to create the listing for this one.

    @MezgerTT . I borrowed the paint meter when I was creating the listing so the readings you see are the readings I have. I can say though having owned and misplaced an Elcometer in the past that I am familiar with how do use them and the concept of repaint and how double the paint means double the reading. When I was metering the car I was making and attempt to find the highest readings. I know that all of the readings around the car were 4-5 range with the exception being a 6 on the edge of the hood closest to the passenger side fender where the reading went to 6.5. I have seen meter reading like this in posted auctions from Ryan Friedman and I think the Porsche community consensus would be as long as they you don't get into double digits you are generally in the clear. So yes, I will concede it is a tad high and the 6 reading at the edge of hood on the side could be a blend but I am leaning towards saying maybe a reclear after a minor paint correction.
    There is no damage IE chipping, scuffing or scratches on the hood, bumper, windshield. The only such damage is as stated in the listing on the wing mirror on passenger side. There is photos provided on that. I would assume though that the lower lip spoiler is probably not the original simply because it is highly unlikely that that lip spoiler has come through 16 years unscathed. Quite frankly it has no damage on it whatsoever which to me is impossible considering it was in the San Fran area and then Hawaii. No the car has never had PPF. No glue residue anywhere. Thank you for your interest.

    Beautiful car. I just bought one or I’d be all over this. Wish more sellers took the time you took to present this beautiful example.

    @AirparkMotorcars

    Hello, beautiful 997 Turbo. Can you post some additional paint meter readings around the car. It appears that one fender reads 5 mil and the other side reads 6.5. Curious if 6.5 is the highest reading on this car. Also, I know it only has 4K miles, however, does the hood, front bumper or windshield have any damage or chips? Does it look like the car ever had PPF on it? Is there any indication of paint work other than the fender reading a bit high? Thank you.

    Pretty quiet so far. I am here to answer any questions though.
