This 2008 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet comes finished in Ruby Red Metallic with a clear satin wrap over a Dark Grey Natural Leather interior. Configured at an original cost of over $151k, this example was generously optioned with the Painted Exterior Package, painted rocker panels, red taillights, the Sport Chrono Package Turbo, the Parking Assist System, the Carbon Package, Adaptive Sport Seats, a carbon fiber multi-function steering wheel, heated front seats, carbon fiber door entry guards, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its third owner out of California while showing less than 39k miles on the odometer.
The Ruby Red Metallic paint is protected with a satin 3M wrap and contrasted with a black convertible soft top. Optional features include the Painted Exterior Package, painted headlight washers, painted rocker panels, and red taillights. The fog lights, side markers, and taillights have been tinted and black trim has been applied to the mirrors, door handles, and side air intakes. The exhaust outlets have also been powder-coated black. The car rides on 19” 911 Turbo wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2011, and the ride height has been lowered by 1.5” with H&R springs. The seller notes an indentation in the front bumper was recently caused by a tow hook, and the passenger's side hydraulic for the rear wing has been replaced. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage to the front end in November 2016.
The cabin is appointed with Dark Grey Natural Leather and features Adaptive Sport Seats, the Carbon Package, a carbon fiber multi-function steering wheel, and illuminated door entry guards in carbon fiber. Additional options include a cabin Windstop with Porsche lettering, a model designation embossed on the storage compartment lid, heated seats with Porsche-crested headrests, floor mats in interior color, the Parking Assist System, and the Sport Chrono Package Turbo which adds a stopwatch dial atop the dashboard. An upgraded Alpine head unit has been installed. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning light is present on the dashboard.
Power comes from a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine that produces up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque, driving all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller adds that a Sharkwerks tune was installed under previous ownership and the exhaust system has been modified to accommodate the original catalytic converter. The CARFAX report shows a total of 18 service history records and the seller adds that the oil was changed approximately 3 years (2k miles) ago.
This sale will include a clean title, two keys, and owner’s manuals.

Thx for trying though
@Miked2020 I guess PCar just loaded them. Thanks for the suggestion!
@virtuaframax I have uploaded them. But I guess they chose not use them because of quality?
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
Photos of DME need to be put on Pcar by you. Thx
Sorry to ask but snapshots of what? Thank you
@Grantleong would you be able to have PCAR load the pictures for everyone's benefit?
@Miked2020 I do not have an official DME report. I just took snapshots. I could email them to you.
Do you have a DME report please? Thank you

@Sunny Thanks man...I'm looking forward to upgrading to a 997 GT3RS.

Oops,
Mine is Raspberry Red Metallic similar but close. My commentary still stands.
WOW….Ruby Red Metallic
I have a 97 Carrera S in that same color and I have never seen anything in the same color up until now. It gets lots of attention at shows and C&Cs. Color is a big part of the value equation and I am thinking you have a winner. GLWTS!
@Grantleong Pretty far away from Cali... I'm in Michigan
@virtuaframax If you're in the bay area, WestWind Automotive does amazing work in SF. Been using them for the last 25 years on my other Porsches.
@Grantleong thanks! just trying to get a ballpark of the repair cost
@virtuaframax Yes...a verbal quote from WestWind Automotive. But that was over a year ago. I think they said $3200 to remove 3M guard, paint and re-apply satin guard. But prices may have changed since then.
@Grantleong by any chance, did you get a quote on repairing / replacing the front bumper?
Bid in the amount of $50,997
@heliousc6 they are painted with Plastidip. Easy to peel off.
are the side air intakes painted or wrapped? Same question for the door handles?
Bid in the amount of $49,997
Thanks @ Grantleong It does make sense that they were unrelated, especially looking at the chronological pattern of accident and when the wrap was installed
@virtuaframax The tow hook damage was caused by me accidentally rolling back on car in my driveway. It's from my tow hitch receiver off a Toyota Sequoia.
@virtuaframax Hi, no. The damage was caused from me running over a dead raccoon. It cracked the bumper and broke an oil line. All repaired by Burlingame Porsche, CA.
Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for asking.
is the damage reported on the CARFAX related to the tow hook or something different?
Also can you please provide clarity on the dent caused by the tow hook? was the car being tracked and needed to be towed?
Hey Porsche Fans,
Hope everyone is having fun looking at all these great opportunities on PCARMARKET.COM

Thanks to everyone on this community and have a great day!
@MikeC Hey Mike,
The satin 3M clear bra is an after market install done in San Jose. It was done in 2017...$6K back then.
Let me know what else you need to know. Thanks and have a great day!
@MikeC see the description it’s mentioned in there
Was that exterior satin wrap an option from factory ?
