Up for auction is this immaculate 2008 Porsche 997 GT2 finished in Carrara White over a black full leather interior with yellow deviated stitching, Alcantara, and carbon-fiber trim.  Originally designed to meet racing homologation requirements, Porsche’s rear-wheel-drive, turbocharged GT2 cars are among the rarest and most sought after 911’s ever built.  This 997 example is equipped with a legendary twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six Mezger capable of sending 530 HP to the rear wheels through a visceral 6-speed manual transmission.  With only 937 miles displayed on the odometer, this collector-grade 2008 GT2 is now being offered by its private seller in California accompanied by the original books, tools, window sticker, and a clean title.

The Carrara White finish is reported to be like-new (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  Based on the 997 Turbo, the GT2 features the same wide bodyshell but with a unique front fascia, a redesigned rear wing, and a revised rear bumper with outlet vents.  Factory options include a painted rear model designation and painted headlight washer covers. This example retains its factory silver-painted wheels that remain dressed in their original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

Inside, this GT2 showcases a beautifully configured black full leather interior with Alcantara upholstery, yellow deviated stitching, and the carbon package.  Other exclusive features include a carbon fiber multifunction steering wheel, Porsche crested headrests for the carbon-fiber bucket seats, a storage compartment lid with model logo, and illuminated doorsill guards in carbon fiber.  The original $200,640 window sticker also includes the Bose Surround Sound System and Sport Chrono Package.

This GT2 carries a 3.6 L flat-six Mezger engine with twin variable-geometry turbochargers making for an output of 530 HP and 505 lb.-ft of torque.  Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels, this GT2 represented the fastest road-going 911 ever at the time of its debut, capable of accelerating from 0-60 MPH in as little as 3.3 seconds while reaching a top speed of over 200 MPH.  Performance features include Porsche ceramic composite brakes (PCCB), the Sport Chrono Package, electronically adjustable shock absorbers, and a lightweight titanium exhaust.  Routine service has been carried out to maintain excellent running order and this GT2 remains in exemplary condition for its next owner.
