This 2008 Porsche 997 Carrera S Cabriolet is presented in the rare shade of Dark Olive Metallic over Sand Beige full leather upholstery. It was configured at an original MSRP of approximately $125k, including a Tiptronic S transmission, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sport Exhaust System, 19” Turbo wheels, Bose High-End Sound Package, instrument dials in Sand Beige, extensive Dark Olive Metallic-painted interior components, and much more. Showing just under 36k miles on the odometer, this tastefully appointed Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona.
This 997 comes finished in Dark Olive Metallic with a black cabriolet roof. Optional details include a body-color hardtop, the Sport Exhaust System, and a set of 19” Turbo wheels. It rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2021 with 80% of tread reportedly remaining. Additionally, 997.2-style taillights have been fitted. The seller notes minor signs of road wear along with a small beneath the right rear taillight. A minor incident reportedly occurred while the vehicle was stationary in a parking facility. The cosmetic damage resulted in a front bumper replacement performed by Penske in Scottsdale, Arizona, a Porsche-certified repair center. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Sand Beige full leather upholstery with supple leather Porsche-crested seats, a leather-wrapped 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, Sand Beige instrument dials, and matching floor mats. Dark Olive Metallic paint was selected for the Switch Panel Package, door finishers, trim strip, instrument surrounds, B-pillar belt outlets, and PCM Package. Additional options include the Parking Assist System, Power Seat Package, Bose High-End Sound Package, heated front seats, telephone & navigation modules for PCM, and a stopwatch dial as part of the Sport Chrono Package.
This 997 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine generating as much as 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a Tiptronic S transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH occurs in approximately 5 seconds and the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus allows the driver to enhance performance capabilities and stiffen the active suspension (PASM) with the press of a button. The Sport Exhaust System was also opted for. The CARFAX report shows a total of 11 service records.
This sale will include a clean title and owner’s manuals.

Greetings. I live in Phoenix and would like to see the car in person. Let me know when/where I can do that either today or tomorrow. Thanks much.
@SeattleGR I did ask when I purchased, but it was from a dealer and they didn't have any records if it was checked. Had my own inspection done and did not notice anything that warranted digging deeper for bore scoring.
@mikelaca Scratch in picture 47 is not deep at all, can only see it under certain light conditions. Not sure the source of said scratch, it was there when purchased. Chips in picture 53 I believe are through the clear coat.
@knox165 Question about photo 47, is that a scratch from the car being keyed or driven near a sharp bush, or can you add any more context on the depth, etc? Also question on Photo 53, are those chips through the clear coat? Thinking of a way to seal them if needed. Thanks much.
@knox165 thanks for clarifying. You sounded like someone who knows what he is looking for in his cars, so I wondered if this as come up when you purchased, even though no service record, so thought I would ask.
I too would be interested in the 2005 911 Cabriolet
@Bob.Dietrich I'm located in Scottsdale, AZ
Are you in the Seattle area? We are heading there next week to see my son and his family?
@jagtampa53 Yes, I have another 2005 Carrera S Cab in silver over black that I'll be selling as well
@jagtampa53 There is only slight rash on one wheel. On the others it's the clear coat that is peeling a bit, not curb rash
@jagtampa53 Yes, this is a factory color and the hardtop does not come with a stand. You can find one on Amazon for about $150. No windows have been replaced that I'm aware of. Yes, service records included and can be seen in the gallery
@Bob.Dietrich I do have a second key, but it is not currently coded for the car. Can include with sale.
@SeattleGR I don't have records for that. But don't notice any ticking sounds and the engine runs excellent. Bore scoring was not an issue on all cars
Bid in the amount of $21,911
@knox165 what other 911 do you have snd are you interested in selling
Questions is this a factory color, does hardtop come with the stand, I noticed as always the fold down creases on the top any years , also stitching around rear window looks wavy has the window been replaced, also road rashes on FR &RL rims , are service records available
Are there two keys?
Is there any indication that bore scoring has been addressed by prior owners or has it been checked for this recently? Apologies if I missed this is the service records.
@dbm I do have a second key, but it is not currently coded for the car. Can include with sale.
Do you have a second key for the car?
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@mikelaca This car did not come with bluetooth from factory, I believe that began with .2 models. There is a "sport" button which activates the sport exhaust (new photo uploaded to show this button). The hardtop is pretty easy to remove, although it does require 2 people. It weighs 73 pounds, just have to undo the latch by the front windshield and use an alley key to unlatch the 2 rear locking points. About a 90 degree turn counterclockwise on both rear sides to "unhook" (new photo uploaded, allen key point is under the round plastic cover). You can store it on a vertical stand or flat on a thick moving blanket if you have the space. When the hardtop is on, it's very solid. As quiet as a natural coupe. That dongle is a USB charging port and aux port (new pic uploaded).
@nyccantdrivemanual Thank you! Very excited
@knox165 does the car have Bluetooth to connect your phone to it for wireless calls? I do not see a sport exhaust button, did these cars just have it in the on position all the time? How does the hardtop work? I know with the Mercedes r129 SL roadster it takes two radically strong people to lift it and then you store it on a customer Mercedes vertical stand. What's it like with this top for on and off logistics and speed? Finally, what is the dongle hanging down by the driver right calf area
Congratulations!
@nyccantdrivemanual Wife recently became pregnant with our first child and currently have too many cars. Have this, another 911 and an S63AMG. Need to make space for a wagon :)
Why are you selling so soon?
Borescore and seven years ago.... if only this was a .2 beautiful car.
