This 2008 Porsche 997 Carrera S is finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior and features a generous list of exclusive options including a thicker leather steering wheel, red taillights, painted hardback sport seats, matching seatbelts, and stainless steel exhaust pipes. It was also configured with a 6-speed manual transmission, 19" Turbo wheels, the Sport Chrono Package, and the Bose High-End Sound System. Showing approximately 72k miles on the odometer, this example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Iowa.
This Coupe is finished in traditional Guards Red and presents exclusive red taillights, stainless-steel exhaust pipes, and 5mm wheel spacers. The optional 19” Turbo wheels have been mounted with new Pirelli P Zero tires within the last 100 miles. Equipment includes Bi-Xenon headlights, red-finished brake calipers, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. The seller notes some small rock chips on the hood and clear paint protection film covers the leading edge of the wheel openings. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black leather interior showcases exclusive Guards Red painted seatbacks, matching seatbelts, an aluminum footrest, and a thicker leather steering wheel. Additional options include leather Sport Seats, self-dimming mirrors, heated front seats, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The driver is also provided with an electric sliding sunroof and automatic climate control. The radio was upgraded with a Kenwood unit with a reverse camera and Bluetooth capability. The seller notes minor wrinkles on the seat bolsters.
A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine sends up to 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated and cross-drilled discs at each corner. Standard performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with ABS. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus enables the driver to adjust performance characteristics and record lap times through the integrated stopwatch. The seller adds that an oil change has been recently carried out, and the CARFAX report shows a total of 21 service history records dating back to the initial delivery.
This sale will include a clean title, the original window sticker, and the owner's manuals.

@gpmotors ... was told it was in 2016
has clutch been done?
Bid in the amount of $30,000
Bid in the amount of $27,000
@whistles13 ... it's been my daily driver ( for the most part ... weather dictated some )
Good to know the DME was clean. Has the car been used daily over the past year? Or was it more of a weekend/summer car?
Bid in the amount of $26,500
@whistle13 ... we checked the DME for any info when I first received the car, no stored codes & no over revs recorded. Have not had an oil sample performed. regarding services .. we performed the 72k service, less air filter ( appears to have been replaced earlier ), the next scheduled maintenance is at 84k
@khart Understood. Would love to see any over-rev or oil lab reports you have, if any. Also, has any work been done in the past year? I assume you haven't done the full 80k service yet, correct? Are there any known flaws other than the seat wrinkles and rock chip? Thanks
@whistles13 ... i would not. We perform ppi in our shop on a regular basis. i doubt any of my peers would perform it. happy to provide you with any info you would like to know
Bid in the amount of $26,000
The car photographs really well! Would you consider having an independent PPI done?
@Cheesepocket .. believe I’ve described the car, carfax IS shown. I guess I didn’t spell out cylinder scoring but the cylinders are fine. I said that we inspected the car front to back .. one will be hard to find a nicer 70k mile Carrera S
Bid in the amount of $19,750
Seller, looks like no comments in the vehicle description, the Carfax history, or for that matter the startup video showing any concerns with bore scoring on this 911. My only point in bringing this up is to help allay any concerns that might hold back the bidding. And if people keep holding back, I'm kinda thinking I need to jump in, and continue this car's journey northward (to MN).
Bid in the amount of $19,500
we have 1 day to go with my offering ... i am listed as a dealer but this has been my daily driver for the most part the past year and a half. In my time with the 911 a new DieHard battery was installed, cooling flush, oil changed ( Mobil 1 ), new Pirelli P Zero tires with less than 150 miles. We have inspected it from front to back. No over revs, no stored codes. Car comes with it's original radio, both keys, original window sticker, & a spare tire / tools. This car has traveled less than 5000 miles per year & by it's condition has been well cared for. This is a great opportunity for someone to purchase a beautiful 911 S
@Cheesepocket I was going to ask the same thing. This Pcar looks in great shape for 72K miles which is just "broken in" as far as the life of it and with a classic Porsche color. I don't get it....

Why is nobody bidding or even commenting on this nicely spec'd 997? Color?
