In collaboration with their Formula 1 racing partner McLaren, Mercedes-Benz set out to create an innovative grand-touring supercar as a tribute to the iconic 1955 300 SLR race car. Powered by a hand-built supercharged 5.5L V8 engine that sends over 600 HP to the rear wheels, the SLR offers active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and lightweight carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) construction. Of the 520 Roadster examples reportedly produced, and #1714/2157 SLRs produced in total, this example comes finished in Pure Black over matching leather upholstery. This rare Mercedez-Benz is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing approximately 10k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Pure Black with a gray convertible soft top, the SLR Roadster rides on 19” turbine wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from 2017-2019. It features an electronically activated rear spoiler that acts as an air brake and the xenon headlights have reportedly been modified with black-finished bezels. The seller also notes chips on the finish of the exhaust outlets. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this SLR Roadster is upholstered with black leather and features power-adjustable carbon fiber seats, aluminum trim, a trunk-mounted CD changer, a shift knob-mounted starter button, a wind deflector, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Options include an XXL driver’s seat and an extra-large passenger seat. The seller states that an aftermarket Kenwood stereo and JL Audio amplifier have been fitted, though the speakers are non-operational.
Powered by a front-mid-mounted supercharged 5.5L M155 V8, the SLR produces up to 617 HP and 575 lb.-ft. of torque sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed AMG Speedshift R automatic transmission. The engine features all-aluminum construction, dry-sump lubrication, and a Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in as little as 3.6 seconds while reaching a top speed of over 200 MPH. Stopping power is handled by 14” lightweight and heat-resistant carbon-ceramic rotors with 8-piston front calipers, 4-piston rear calipers, and Sensotronic Brake Control.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a battery charger, and a clean title.

Thanks for the kind words. It is an awesome machine
Stunning car, looks new.
McLaren/MB really did their homework resolving high IAT's on the M113K engine in this iteration. 2, large intercoolers, each with more capacity than then single one on the SL55 AMG, keep things nice and cold. They also extracted over 100hp additional with more than 100 internal upgrades to the engine itself.
Bet we're looking at big money to take this one home. Beautiful car, wish I had the loose change to acquire.
