Only 500 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series were produced worldwide, of which approximately 370 were brought to the U.S. This 2008 example is believed to be 1 of 40 examples finished in Arctic White over a Black leather interior. The Black Series came equipped with a 500-HP V8 engine along with various motorsport-derived technology including functional carbon-fiber aerodynamics, a wider front and rear track, chassis bracing, an adjustable coilover suspension system, and larger multi-piston brakes. This rare example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Delaware showing just under 27k miles on its odometer.
The CLK63 Black Series features unique DTM-inspired bodywork, including wide carbon-fiber fender flares, a carbon-fiber front apron, a carbon-fiber finned rear diffuser, and a carbon-fiber trunk lid spoiler. This example comes finished in the rare shade of Arctic White. Details include Bi-xenon headlights, quad-exhaust outlets, silver brake calipers with black AMG script, and model specific 19” Alcoa forged alloy wheels dressed in Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires from 2020. Mercedes star center caps are fitted, and three AMG-specific wheel caps will accompany the sale. Paint protection film covers the rear flares, and the seller notes a minor scrape beneath the front bumper. Detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the rear seat has been deleted as part of the Black Series package, and the deeply bolstered power-adjustable front bucket seats are upholstered in Black Nappa leather. The floors and rear seat area are lined with black carpeting and the center stack, center console, and instrument cluster feature high-gloss carbon-fiber trim. Amenities include a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather with aluminum shift paddles, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon stereo, a DVD-based navigation system, an iPod integration kit, drilled aluminum pedals, and stainless steel AMG door sill guards. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from a hand-built 6.2-liter M156 V8, which produces up to 500HP and 465 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to enlarged intake ducts, reprogrammed engine software, and a low-restriction sport exhaust the Black Series gains 25 horsepower over a standard CLK63. The rear wheels are driven by way of a Mercedes’ SpeedShift 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The suspension includes fully adjustable coilovers with height, damping and rebound adjustment and additional chassis bracing across the engine bay and trunk, while stopping power is provided by 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers with cross-drilled and vented rotors. The CARFAX includes 19 service history entries dating back to 2008, and the seller notes that a Mercedes' B Service was recently carried out. Detailed records are provided in the gallery.

In my opinion, this car definitely has the presence, stance, and shows even better than it does in the pictures. Something which also came through is you have been a fantastic steward to this example.
One other thing to note is while I wanted to see the car, I really wanted to experience it. The seller took me out in it and it is a visceral experience. He was thoughtful as we met at the barracks for the Delaware State Police safety measure for both of us.

The exact number of CLK BS is unknown. Mercedes' own website stated they made 500 for the whole world; although it is believed the exact number to be between 500-600.
Exactly 327 examples were originally shipped to the US; many of which were immediately shipped overseas. It is unknown how many remain on US soil; with a number of them being totalled.
Matte grey and blue are the rarest colors AFAIK with only one of made, allegedly. It is followed by Mars Red (a dozen, if I recall) and white like this one, of which 30-40 cars were made for the whole world.
My numbers might be slightly off, so don't be mean if proven wrong :)

@Rod27 Agree. My understanding is 500 ww of which 350 US (10 red, 40 white, remainder a mix of black, silver and metallic black).

defnitley not only 200 built. The actual production numbers were around 800....500 to US or something like that.
This was my car; I am the one who sold it to @Manos411.
Seeing it here brings sweet memories of my 4 y/o daughter (her name is Mercedes) riding shotgun to a Euro car show over the intercoastal bridge... all windows down, her hair blowing in the wind as we drive over the water on a Saturday morning. The glorious M156 rumble all around us.
@Manos411 says he's a "dealer" (he is a licensed one after all), but he is not one at heart. I met him the day he flew in to inspect the car and we have been friends ever since. Chatting every other day about cars :)
Here is why I say he is not a "dealer" at heart:
1. He makes abundant money on his day job and does not "need" to sell anything from his amazing collection. Truth is, whatever this BS sells for, it is a small fraction of what some of his other cars are worth.
2. After months of deliberation, he called me to ask if I was "okay" with him selling "my" white CLK63 AMG Black Series. No "dealer" does that.
@Manos411 is a true gentleman, a straight shooter and a great guy all around. Rest assured you will be pleased doing business with this man.
About the car: It is as magnificent as pictures show. @Manos411 keeps in in a climate-controlled garage and so did I and the owner before me.
Speaking of that, the prior owner is a huge enthusiast who races open wheel cars all over Europe, including the classic 24-hours of Lemans. He never tracked this vehicle (he owns actual race cars for that). He had this BS stored inside his 6,800sf man cave surrounded by a half-dozen Ferraris and two $100K (each) racing simulators.
Needless to say, rest assured this vehicle has lived a pampered life; no expenses spared.
Regarding the minor touch up under the front bumper: That was me. I saw a few minor parking scratches under the front bumper when I crawled under it the day I bought it. there were no cracks and nobody would notice the thin scratches unless they went under it, but I had them professionally touched up.
I own another CLK Black Series at this time; otherwise, I would buy this one back. That said, I cross my fingers for it to go to a good home.

The waterfall is covered in carbon fiber look vinyl. It’s easily removed to reveal the original piece. That information was in the description we submitted but never made it to the listing.
Do you have the original parts that were changed? The rear console cover was not cf from factory.

@Rod27 thank you for your interest. There is no history of CELs during our 2+years at any time at all. No CEL when we acquired the car either.
The front L wheel had a small scratch on the edge that we noticed after the photo shoot and it was improved (before/after photos in the gallery). A photo of the new caps will be added to the gallery.
what other imperfections does the car have?
so which center caps will it come with? And any history of CEL? At any time at all? These cars are notorious for high fuel rail pressure CEL.
@Rod27, referencing the lower valence marks pictured in photo 100. It does look to have been repainted under previous ownership, but seeing that it's relatively minor, it likely just happened pulling forward into a parking spot.
The prior owner #2 has a large collection, takes very good care of his vehicles, and doesn't track his cars.
There was one other previous owner #1, and while we have no record from that owner, based on the condition of the paint on the hood and front fenders being original with consistent meter readings, it is not likely the car was tracked even by the first owner.
Under our care, the car was not tracked.
looks like front lower bumper on drivers side was repainted. Any idea why? Any track time?
@SirMathRocks thank you for the inquiries. Yes, the PPF is only on the rear flares. Also, Mercedes service informed us that one of the center caps was missing so we will be selling the car with new silver Mercedes star center caps.
Hello..can you pls confirm if the PPL is only in the rear flares and no where else on the car?
Also you mention that "Mercedes star center caps are fitted" but the pics are showing something else for the center caps. Can you please clarify?
