This 2008 Land Rover Defender 110 SVX 60th Anniversary Edition is reportedly one of approximately 1,700 units produced worldwide to commemorate Land Rover’s 60th anniversary, with only 300 examples in the long-wheelbase 110 configuration. Acquired by a dedicated Land Rover enthusiast with an extensive collection, this right-hand-drive example was imported to Canada from China in late 2024. Powered by a 2.4-liter turbodiesel inline-four engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, it is finished in Santorini Black over a partial leather interior. It comes equipped with an aftermarket suspension, a sunroof, 16” diamond-turned alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, air conditioning, heated seats, power accessories, a Clarion audio system, and more. Showing under 84k kilometers (approximately 52k miles) on the odometer, this limited-production Defender 110 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
This example is finished in Santorini Black and comes equipped with an SVX satin-black grille, checker-plate rock guards, body-color fender flares, tubular side steps, a rear step, a reinforced aluminum front under shield, a sunroof, a roof light bar, LED taillights, front and rear mud flaps, and commemorative decals. It rides on SVX-exclusive 16” diamond-turned five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, with a matching spare mounted on the swing-away rear carrier. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The right-hand-drive cabin offers partially leather-clad Recaro front sport seats, a metallic-finished gear knob, and an aftermarket steering wheel. Amenities include heated front and split-folding second-row seats, air conditioning, power front windows, a heated windscreen, sun visors, cup holders, an under-dash storage compartment, an alarm system, and a Clarion audio system. Security features include remote keyless central locking, an engine immobilizer, and an alarm system. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.
Power comes from a 2.4-liter turbodiesel inline-four engine, which delivers a factory-rated 122 HP and 266 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It features power steering, ventilated front brakes with four-piston calipers, solid rear brakes with two-piston calipers, ABS, electronic stability control, and an aftermarket lowered suspension. The seller reports that a recent mechanical inspection was carried out by factory-trained technicians, and no faults were found.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a Canadian registration.
The seller would like you to know: “This is an amazing spectacle of a collector vehicle. Only 300 were ever made for the long wheel base edition of this Land Rover Defender SVX 60th Anniversary edition. Car has comparatively low mileage and has absolutely no mechanical or electrical issues.”

@NachoBuffalo Yes but as far as i know it only means that cars that are older than 25 yrs can be imported as-is and anything within 25 yrs still has to pass the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. I might be wrong so i would appreciate if you could please share your findings!
My understanding is that Canada has a 15 year import rule (allowing this to be imported) but US has 25 year import rule (NOT allowing this to be imported)
Thanks for your quick response - I’ll do some additional research on my end
@NachoBuffalo Should be able to. This was recently imported from China to Canada and has passed all safety requirements for Canada.
Can this Defender be imported to the US?
