The most high-performance version of Lamborghini’s original Gallardo, the Superleggera debuted at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show featuring lightweight carbon fiber body parts complemented by a more powerfully tuned V10 engine. A total of 618 examples were produced, of which 172 were sold in the United States. This 2008 Gallardo Superleggera is finished in Grigio Telesto and optioned with carbon ceramic brakes, a front axle lift system, full carbon interior package, and a high-mount carbon fiber rear wing. It also received over $20k in tasteful upgrades including a custom sound system, LP-560 bumper, and a Fluid Motor Union exhaust system. Benefitting from a major recent service and covered by a transferrable third-party warranty, this rare Gallardo Superleggera is now being offered for auction out of Massachusetts showing just over 29k miles on the odometer.

This Gallardo is said to be one of only 34 Superleggera models to have been finished in Grigio Telesto from the factory. The car is distinguished from a standard Gallardo by its carbon fiber rear diffuser, mirror housings, engine cover, and sill extensions as well as lightweight polycarbonate rear windows and black side stripes. This example has been fitted with an updated LP-560 front bumper and came equipped with a carbon fiber “high” rear wing as a $5,850 factory option. Upgraded xenon headlights have been installed and the OEM Speedline Superleggera wheels are powder-coated black.

Receipts show a full paint correction was performed by the seller in February 2022 by Q Car Care, a reputable detailer in MA, along with a complete application of XPEL paint protection film over the entire body of the car, and a Ceramic Pro Gold lifetime coating. A small touched-up imperfection is noted ahead of the driver’s side mirror as well as a very small mark in the PPF on the hood. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted in January 2022 and show at least 85% tread remaining according to the seller. The windshield is also said to have been replaced with a new OEM part from Lamborghini in July 2022. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is trimmed in full black Alcantara and features lightweight carbon fiber door panels with a matching central tunnel, instrument surround, and steering wheel as well as sport seats with “Superleggera” logos on the bolsters. Upgraded billet aluminum LP-style switches have been installed in the center stack and the seller reports an upgraded sound system was built at a cost of over $10k including all new Focal speakers and a subwoofer mounted in a custom Alcantara-wrapped enclosure. A new Alpine head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto was also installed in 2022 and the headliner was reglued to address sagging.

The Superleggera receives a larger intake manifold and revised engine tuning from the factory, raising the output of its naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V10 engine to 523 HP and 376 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed E-Gear automated manual transmission. This example features optional carbon ceramic brakes as well as upgraded K&N air filters and a Fluid Motor Union “Megaphone” cat-back exhaust system with test pipes. An aftermarket SprintBooster module has also been installed and the seller reports the original catalytic converters are included in the sale. The seller adds that the clutch reading was recorded by Eurotech Motorsports on 4/7/23 to show a healthy 60%.

Within the last year, all spark plugs were replaced along with the drive belt, tensioner, vacuum lines, coolant, and brake fluid. Most recently in March 2023, a service was completed by Eurotech Motorsports including an oil and filter change, transmission fluid flush, a new oil tank seal, and new coolant hoses. The seller notes a Freedom Complete bumper-to-bumper warranty remains in effect until January 2025 (purchased for $7,900 in January 2022 for 36 months/100,000 miles) and may be transferred to the new owner at no cost if they choose.

This sale will include a clean title (lien), all original books & owner’s manuals, original tire inflator, interior Lamborghini car cover, 1 key, and some documentation.

The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for visiting my auction! I have owned my SuperG for the past year, purchasing it privately from a collector who also had a beautiful Diablo. All regular maintenance is fully up to date, including a full re-glue/refresh of the OEM Alcantara headliner, which is known to sag on these cars over time. New Michelin PS4S tires were installed when I bought the car and all fluid changes are up to date as well. I've owned many single clutch cars over the years (430 Scuderia, R8 GT, etc.) and have always operated the transmission properly to maximize clutch longevity (never reversed up a hill, never drove in Automatic, always put into Neutral at stops, etc.). This car is a total showstopper everywhere it goes and commands your respect behind the wheel. It is also by far the best-braking car I've owned, with massive carbon ceramics and calipers all around. Finally, the noise that the 5.0L engine makes with the full Fluid Motor Union exhaust sounds like nothing else on the road; I only hope the new owner's neighbors don't mind hearing (arguably) the loudest cold start of all time :)”

Congrats winner, very good buy. We are all going to look back on this car in a couple years as being a steal. These things are so underrated. Low production numbers, german durability, very unique drive...great cars.

As an owner of a SuperG, these things are so insanely underrated. One of the best small Lambos ever made, nothing after this sounds anywhere near as good since they all got muzzled by Audi.

@kstoff125 Hey there - the PPF is under the rear Lamborghini emblem. Upon application of the PPF, the detail shop temporarily removed the emblem so they could perform a full, clean paint correction. Then they placed the PPF on, and re-applied the Lamborghini emblem. Hope this helps!

  • kstoff125 (registered bidder) 1 year, 8 monthsago

Superg, on the close up of the rear Lamborghini emblem, was the ppf run under the emblem? Assuming the water spots seen can be easily removed (ie with a product like 3D eraser gel). Also, I agree, the car sounds epic!!

    Thanks!!

@kstoff125 I just uploaded 2 images of the warranty contract to the gallery. These 2 photos show what *IS NOT* covered in specific detail, expanding on my previous comment. Thus, any item that is not on that list *IS* covered by the warranty. Hope this helps?

@kstoff125 The entire Freedom Complete warranty will be put in the new owners' name, becoming 100% their warranty (unless the new owner chooses to not want it - for example, if they want a different warranty for the car, etc). The warranty is 36 months or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, and is good through January 2025. If needed, warranty work can be done at any Lamborghini/Audi dealer, and of course any shop of your choosing that does warranty work. According to the contract, here is what *IS* covered (link below to their website): Engine, Transmission, Transfer Case, Cooling System, Drive Axle, Air Conditioning, Electrical, Fuel System, Brake Calipers, Power Steering, Turbo/Supercharger, Suspension, Seals & Gaskets. Here is what *IS NOT* covered: Paint, Upholstery, Brake Pads, Spark Plugs, Catalytic Converters, Cosmetic Issues, Light Bulbs of any kind, Oil Changes, Seat Belts, Tires, Tire Rotations, Transmission Flushes, Windows/Windshield, Glass, Belts (with the exception of the timing belt), Filters, Nuts, Bolts, Screws, Fuses, Weather Stripping, Door Hinges, Latches, Alarms. Additionally, the warranty comes with the following benefits: 24-hour toll-free nationwide assistance, Rental car coverage, Roadside assistance, and Unlimited claims. Can you expand on the warranty that was purchased. What exactly does that cover and do all benefits of it transfer to a new owner?

  • superg (seller) 1 year, 8 monthsago

@mariodesmo No problem, I just uploaded a photo of the emissions label to the gallery, let me know if there's anything else you need!

Hi and welcome to the auction of my Superleggera. I had the privilege of owning this truly special supercar for over the past year, however I need to sell so that I can purchase additional real estate. I just put the car through a thorough major service for the lucky new owner, who will be picking up a true gem. If you have any questions, please reach out, and thanks for stopping by!
