Launched at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show, the second-generation Jaguar XK (XK150) features an aluminum chassis and timeless styling by Ian Callum, designer of the Aston Martin Vanquish and DB7 models. This 2008 example is a Jaguar XKR Convertible powered by a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It comes finished in Porcelain White over a tan leather interior with wood trim and features heated power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, an Alpine surround sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, an active exhaust system, and 19” Sabre chrome wheels. Showing approximately 29k miles on the odometer, this high-performance grand tourer is now being offered for auction out of Arizona.
Compared to a standard Jaguar XK, the XKR version features mesh front grilles, a vented front bonnet, R-branded brake calipers, and model-specific front and rear spoilers. This XKR is finished in Porcelain White with a power-operated tan soft top. Equipment includes auto-leveling bi-xenon headlights, headlamp washers, fog lights, LED taillights, nickel-finished fender vents, parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, quad exhaust tips, and 19” Sabre chrome wheels. The cabin features tan leather upholstery with matching carpets, polished accents, and burl walnut veneers. Amenities include heated 10-way power-adjustable front seats, a three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, paddle shifters, a power tilt/telescopic steering column, keyless entry, pushbutton start, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 7” central infotainment display with navigation, and an Alpine surround sound system. Some signs of wear are noted on the front seats.
A supercharged 4.2-liter V8 DOHC engine delivers up to 420 HP and 413 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Performance features include adaptive four-wheel independent suspension, an active exhaust system, speed-sensitive power steering, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and a four-wheel disc brake with ABS. Maintenance records show new front brake pads and rotors installed in 2020 along with a brake fluid flush, coolant flush, a new engine air filter, and an oil change. A transmission service was performed in January 2023 including a new transmission filter pan. The CARFAX report also shows the battery and thermostat were replaced in 2020.
