A pure expression of Honda DNA, the S2000 has gained recognition among enthusiasts for its agile handling, high-revving engine, and classic roadster design. The second generation of Honda’s advanced S2000 sports car received major updates including new front and rear bumpers, carbon fiber gearbox synchronizers, re-tuned suspension, and a larger 2.2-liter engine. This 2008 example is showcased in Gunmetal Grey adorned by a satin black vinyl wrap and offers tasteful upgrades including BC coilovers, StopTech rotors and brake pads, a Sprint Booster throttle module, a Tanabe exhaust system, and more. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this S2000 is being offered for auction once again by its seller out of New Jersey while showing just over 20k miles on the odometer.
This example features a Gunmetal Grey finish covered by a satin black 3M wrap along with a black convertible soft top. Changes for the AP2 generation include revised front and rear bumpers, new LED taillights, redesigned headlight assemblies, and oval-shaped exhaust tips. Modifications include an APR carbon fiber front spoiler, a rear spoiler, and F1R wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires driven approximately 5k miles. The seller notes a very small tear in the soft top along with slight cosmetic damage to one of the wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with black leather seats and color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Standard features include pushbutton ignition, a 4-speaker sound system with an AM/FM/CD concealed stereo, air conditioning, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a front center console. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a digital instrument cluster including an 8k-RPM tachometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The seller adds that a Kenwood stereo system has been added, and all gauges and accessories are working properly.
The second generation S2000 is equipped with the F22C1 DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine. An enlarged version of the original S2000’s F20C engine, the 2.2-liter F22C1 carried over V-TEC variable valve timing technology and offers an output of up to 240 HP and 162 lb.-ft of torque. The AP2 also received an updated 6-speed manual gearbox with modified gear ratios and upgraded carbon fiber synchronizer rings. Other features include a limited-slip differential, variable-assist rack and pinion steering, and four-wheel double-wishbone independent suspension. Modifications include a Sprint Booster throttle module, a Tanabe exhaust system, a cold air intake, BC coilover suspension, StopTech cross-drilled & slotted rotors, and StopTech brake pads. The seller states that regular oil and fluid changes have been carried out, and the CARFAX shows 4 service history entries.

@needanothercar hi the wrap is 3 years old and pretty easily removed. I used a 3M lighter grip so it can be peeled off. I also wrapped it to preserve the original finish as it’s pristine. This car has been WELL cared for. Only reason I’m selling it. Is i need to cut my car collection down. I now have cars not in garage/storage but outside. The S2000 has remained a garage car!
Nice car! How long has the wrap been installed? Last year I had a car with wrap and it was very difficult to remove. I am looking for a Honda 2000 for a granddaughter but the wrap is a problem. Any comments on this wrap?
