Up for auction is this 2008 Ford Mustang Roush 427-R Trak Pak finished in Black Clearcoat. Roush Performance was founded by International Motorsports Hall of Famer Jack Roush, and is regarded as one of the foremost Mustang tuning companies in the world. This 2008 example represents #72 of the total 100 427-R Trak Pak cars produced by Roush. The 427-R Trak Pak is a $29k comprehensive package that includes a Roush supercharger, limited-slip differential, Aerobody kit, and wheels, along with a host of premium aftermarket suspension, braking, and cooling upgrades. A lifelong West Coast car, this rare 427-R Trak Pak is now being offered for auction with under 4k miles showing on the odometer by its seller out of California.
The body is factory finished in Black Clearcoat and features red 427-R Trak Pak “hockey stick” graphics along the sides as well as an over-the-top racing stripe. The Roush Aerobody kit includes a Roush-specific front bumper with fog lamps and brake cooling ducts, a chin spoiler, a hood scoop, and an adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing. Additional photos are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Other notable items equipped for the Trak Pak include a black bar high flow front grille, hood pins, Roush decklid emblems, Roush windshield and hood scoop lettering, and 18” forged Roush wheels finished in Dark Charcoal. These wheels come dressed in a set of BFGoodrich G-Force T/A tires showing date codes from 2011.
Inside, you will find a black and red interior highlighted by premium Roush leather sport seats featuring embroidered Jack Roush signatures. This Mustang comes equipped with a retro-style shifter, Shaker 500 audio system, air conditioning, a Roush pedal set, 427-R floor mats, white-faced instrument dials, and a fire extinguisher. A gauge pod on the dash includes readouts for oil and coolant temperature, boost, and an integrated shift light. All gauges and accessories are reported to be fully functional and the original window stickers from Ford and Roush are provided in the gallery.
The Roush supercharged and intercooled 4.6-liter V8 engine is rated at up to 435HP and 400 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and a Detroit TrueTrac limited-slip differential. A label signed by the engine builder is located within the engine bay along with a serialized plaque designating this example as #72 out of 100. This Mustang also comes equipped with a track-oriented suspension and brake modifications in order to support the additional horsepower. The seller notes that an oil and filter change will be performed at Galpin Ford upon sale to the next owner. The Roush package includes the following:
This sale will include one key set, the original Ford and Roush window stickers, a Roush tool kit, and a clean title. One of the rarest and most high-performance variations of the fifth-generation Ford Mustang, this low-mileage Roush 427-R Trak Pak makes an excellent addition to any car collection.

As we enter the final stages of this auction, I'd like to thank everyone for tuning in and taking a look at this awesome car. Thirteen years after this was first put together by Roush, it still feels incredibly solid and very well built. Everything works beautifully and will surely make the next owner incredibly happy. We are looking forward to seeing what happens over the next 30(ish) minutes! Thanks again!

@Alpha - Hi there. If you take a look at the original Ford window sticker for the 2008 GT Coupe Deluxe, you'll see that the transmission was indeed a 5-speed set-up. The 2008 GT500 used the TR-6060 (6-speed) manual transmission.
I’m wondering about the transmission as this version comes with 6 speed transmission, why is this 5 speed?
Thanks
