Available for auction is this 2008 BMW E90 M3 finished in Sparkling Graphite Metallic over a Fox Red Novillo leather interior. The first and only M3 to have been equipped with a V8 engine, the E90/92/93 series are beloved by enthusiasts for its high revving nature. This 2008 example was sold new by Sonnen BMW of California, and was bought back by BMW in May of 2009 before being sold at auction as a lemon law buyback. It was serviced regularly at BMW Northfield by the second owner, and was acquired by the third owner in 2011, who covered approximately 2k miles over the next 10 years. It comes equipped with the Premium and Technology packages, the Enhanced premium audio system, a power sunroof, a high-performance exhaust system, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Missouri, showing just over 15k miles on the odometer.

The M3 can be identified by its broader wheel arches, front fender vents, aggressive front and rear fascias, flared side skirts, aluminum power dome hood, quad exhaust tips, and rear decklid spoiler. This example is finished in Sparkling Graphite Metallic and features a carbon-fiber front splitter, spoiler, and rear diffuser. Details include Shadowline trim, adaptive xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a glass sunroof. A collection of detailed images can be found in the gallery. It rides on a set of multi-piece 20″ ADV.1 finished in black and dressed in a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo, bearing date codes from 2011.

The interior is trimmed in Fox Red Novillo leather with deeply bolstered sport seats, a leather-wrapped three-spoke M-Sport multifunction steering wheel, M3 aluminum door sills, and Carbon Leather trim on the dashboard, center console, and doors. The optional Premium Package equips power-folding mirrors, a digital compass mirror, and BMW Assist, while the Technology Package includes Comfort Access keyless entry and ignition, a BMW navigation system, an upgraded sound system, M Drive selectable drive modes, and Electronic Damping Control, which allows the driver to adjust the stiffness of the shock absorbers via a button mounted on the center console. Additional amenities include a power rear sunshade, dual-zone climate control, and cruise control.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated high-compression S65 4.0L V8 engine that generates up to 414 HP at a redline of 8,300 RPM. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission with a Variable M Differential Lock. Compared with a standard 3-Series the M3 receives larger brakes, stiffer rubber bushings, shorter and stiffer springs, and larger anti-roll bars. This example is equipped with an upgraded exhaust system, providing freer breathing and a sportier exhaust tone. The CARFAX highlights 9 service history records dating back to 2008, and the seller notes that it was routinely serviced from 2009 to 2012 and driven very sparingly after that. The TPMS light is currently illuminated due to a lack of sensors in the upgraded wheels.

This sale will include owners’ literature, a toolkit, and a branded title. With remarkably low miles and tasteful upgrades, this 6-speed M3 sedan checks all the right boxes.
