Up for auction is this 2008 BMW E93 335i Convertible finished in Platinum Bronze Metallic over a Creme Beige Dakota leather interior. Representing the fifth generation of BMWs venerable 3-Series, the E93 was the first BMW Cabrio to utilize a power-retractable hardtop design. The 335i was also the first turbocharged 3-series, powered by the N54 twin-turbo inline-six engine that produced up to 300 HP. Riding on upgraded 18" Competition-style wheels, this 2008 example was acquired by the second and current owner in 2014 and is now being offered for auction out of Colorado showing approximately 46k miles on the odometer.
This E93 was ordered in Platinum Bronze Metallic (A53) and features adaptive xenon headlights with auto-leveling and heated washers, rain-sensing windshield wipers, integrated fog lights, a power-retractable folding hardtop, and twin exhaust outlets. The seller reports the front end and mirror caps are preserved under clear paint protection film, and notes some road rash on the underside of the bumpers as well as a few minor paint chips throughout the body. Detailed images are provided in the gallery. The CARFAX report shows an accident to have occurred in 2012, while a recent inspection by BMW of Loveland was unable to identify any signs of damage. This 335i rides on upgraded 18” BMW Style 197 wheels mounted with Bridgestone Driveguard tires.
The cabin is trimmed in Cream Beige Dakota leather with Dark Burl Walnut inlays. The front seats feature 10-way adjustability for the driver and 8-way for the passenger, both with heating functionality. Driver’s amenities include optional Comfort Access keyless entry, a multi-function leather-wrapped M-Sport steering wheel, auto-dimming side mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, lumbar support, and a universal garage opener as equipped by the Premium Package. The power-retractable hardtop takes 22 seconds to open and can be operated by either a button in the center console or from the key fob through the Comfort Access keyless entry system.
This 335i is powered by a 3.0L twin-turbocharged N54 inline-six which produced up to 300 HP and 300 lb.-ft of torque when new, driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The CARFAX report shows a consistent history of dealership maintenance, including the BMW-warrantied service of the engine in 2014 with new fuel injectors, injector decoupling elements, spark plugs, and a high-pressure fuel pump. A corresponding record is provided in the gallery along with a recent invoice for an oil change and multi-point inspection.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner's manuals, and a clean title. With its powerful N54 engine and convenient hardtop-convertible design, this 335i provides excellent value as a daily sports car.

Very unfortunate last 15 seconds. 99.9% of the time this is a flawless platform and the addition of 24 hours is a PCAR policy in the event of such a circumstance, love it or hate it. There was at least one active bid in the queue with 15 seconds to go, which should have reset the 2 minute clock. This will play itself out tomorrow...either way this car is an unbelievable value for this kind of money.
Thank you all again.
@PCARMARKET_MODERATOR I’m not sure what the deal here. I believe I won that auction
?
@jtmoney0021 your lucky day.
I will be happy to top the gas off for you!
If we hit $17,500 I will add a $200 gift card to a steak house of your choice. That will make for a good date night with the top down! Good luck.
Due to a service interruption on Wednesday 3/2/2022 this auction has been extended for 1 day
My $16k bid is spinning… I missed the window, my bad
Done
I'm not as skrong as AVG (due to the cost it would take to get it to FL, sadly). Congrats!
@blessu if you top it off I’ll bid again
Did I mention it has a half a tank of gas. 91 octane that’s like 40 bucks all day long.
Thanks for your bids

Good Morning.. Hours left and this beautiful whip is safely resting in our garage waiting for the reserve to be met and a new home to be found. When that time comes and Pcar has assured me it will, (trust the process is their mantra) I will let you all know!
Transportation? You could drive this 335i coast to coast with no problem except weather, its ready to go. If you are in the Scottsdale area I will drive the 335i to you! I will keep my insurance until delivery and arrive to you home with the BMW, title and bottle of bubbly.
You pay for fuel, one night hotel.

Coming down to the last 24 hours and want to encourage those of you watching this auction to jump in and bid. We will be submitting some paint meter readings and detailed photos of the chip on passenger door and under bumper valance of curb rash. If you have done your homework you know that a very similar, black on black, sold for $23,335+fees February 12th on a competing auction site. As I would hope to get close to that number I'm not sure that's going to happen. Although we cannot disclose reserve I will let bidders know when the number has been hit. It is always encouraging to know your bid counts and this awesome piece of equipment could actually end up in your garage!
Questions and comments are always welcome and thanks for taking a look. good luck.

@sjg507 thank you for your strong opening bid and not doing $335 to start this off.
Welcome and thank for taking a look at this incredible 335i. My wife and I purchased and have thoroughly enjoyed driving this fine piece of equipment over the last eight years. At the time of purchased I really wanted a 911 4S but with two young ones at home it wasn't practical, as you can see by the pictures the 4S is now a reality and is the only reason we are letting this one find a new home. Please feel comfortable in the fact this BMW is every bit as described and appears. The service manager for BMW picked up our car to take it in for the oil change and undercarriage inspection and was impressed with how it drove and handled. It is showroom tight as you would expect with a BMW.
Let me be proactive on a couple of the Carfax reports. When I first approached PCAR to represent this vehicle, part of there process is to run a Carfax.
First off, looks like I'm not the second owner but the third, no big deal, right?
More importantly when talking to Adam, my PCAR advisor, and in the process of determining the reserve price, he told me that there was an accident reported.
Total surprise to me. So, we probably set the reserve a little on the low side than I was comfortable with. Well today I think I figured out what the report is about. If you notice the report was dated 03/10/12, long before I owned the car. It also states the information wasn't available until 09/24/2018, so whats up? My best guess, we mostly used this car for heading up to our place in Breckenridge and if you drive the mountains you pick up unwanted rock chips. About 4 years back we did have the front grill and hood repainted before applying the protective clear film. The shop that did the work did exceptional work and unfortunately no longer in business.
As you can see all the seams, body panels and hoods line up. Paint match is balls on perfect.
Also I can assure you there is no annoying rattles coming from the frame or body. Full disclosure, you might sometimes get a faint tick where the convertible top meets the windshield, usually fixed with a little high density lubricant and adjustment. No biggie.
As for the PCAR, wow, these guys are great. Thanks to Adam, Dylan for the great copy and lay out, and Sam for the follow through!
Please bid with confidence and SHOW ME THE $$$$$$, thanks for taking a look.

@blessu Thank you for the quick reply.
Thanks for your interest. I'm new to this so I will do my best. When I purchased the car from Courtesy Acura we were told it was a two owner car. There were a couple surprises when PCAR told me that there was 3 owners and an accident reported. Carfax wasn't a thing 8 years ago so excuse me for the gaps in information. It does appear that Kuni did indeed sell the car to an owner that only put a couple thousand miles on it in a year and a half. This is Colorado and we have different cars for the winter so low mileage convertibles are a thing here. So lets assume I'm the third owner. As far as the tow hook cover, that is my third cover. Yes there is an unpainted cover present. I had the car detailed prior to pictures and photographer arrived before I could get it painted to match. Our BMW service tech suggested a little glue to secure.
@blessu: Please clarify ownership history; CARFAX shows 3 owners. Do you have the missing front bumper tow hook cover? Thank you.
