Now up for auction is this 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over a two-tone tan leather interior. Proudly bearing one of Aston Martin’s oldest and most distinguished namesakes, the Vantage was reintroduced at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show and occupied a role as the lean, agile, high-performance grand tourer in Aston Martin’s model range. This 2008 Roadster came beautifully appointed from the factory and features a rare 6-speed manual transmission mated to a handbuilt V8 engine. Fully serviced in preparation for sale while showing a clean two-owner history on CARFAX, this stunning V8 Vantage Roadster is now being offered by its seller out of Massachusetts with just over 31k miles showing on the odometer.
This Roadster was ordered in Titanium Silver Metallic with a contrasting red soft top. Designed by Henrik Fisker and Ian Callum, the Vantage features a bonded aluminum structure with distinctive styling cues including a sculpted front bonnet, straked side air vents, and swan wing doors. Compared to the DB9 model offered at the time, the nimble V8 Vantage measures 12.3” inches shorter with 5.5” removed from the wheelbase. The seller describes the exterior to be well presented with some minor stone chips on the front bumper and hood. The factory 19” polished double-spoke wheels come dressed in brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Inside, the driver is greeted by a beautifully crafted two-tone tan leather interior with light contrasts on the door panels and seat centers. Factory features include power-operated sport bucket seats with memory, steering wheel mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, rear park assist sensors, pushbutton ignition, and a 160-watt Aston Martin AM/FM stereo with a 6-disc CD changer.
The V8 Vantage carries a 4.3L DOHC 32-valve V8 engine assembled by hand at the AM facility in Cologne, Germany. Situated toward the middle of the car for ideal weight distribution, this naturally aspirated power plant generates up to 380 HP and 308 lb.-ft of torque which is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Other performance features include positive torque control, a stainless-steel exhaust with active bypass valves, four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension, and Dynamic Stability Control. A full service has been recently carried out by Boston Motorsports in preparation for sale including new tires, a four-wheel alignment, new wiper blades, a new coolant cap, drive belt, and pulley. Some questions that are asked are answered below
1- the car does have heated seats
2- the clutch grabs well, and there is no slipping whatsoever
3- the top is in great shape and operates properly (see recently uploaded video)
4- there are no signs of shrinking leather on the dash
5- AC blows ice cold
6- we have the books
7- it has a escort laser jammer radar detector built in
8- I do not have a date of when the battery was last replaced, however, it was tested and passed our inspection
9- the Nav does work. But it is 2008 technology, i suggest an iPhone with Waze
Hi. I understand the clutch is often an issue with these cars (mainly due to unusual clutch travel and driver bad habits), how is this one? Does the top show signs of wear and could you provide a video of it opening and closing? Thanks!

@rproctorjr I see what you see there. It looks like some dirt is stuck to the tire soap. If I recall, the car was cleaned while we waited for new tires. So it would make sense there is some soap on there for the photos

@rproctorjr our lead tech was at Aston Martin New England for 6 years who did the service on the car. He stated that the car appears to have been well maintained, and did all the work that the car needed. I have reached out to the previous owner to obtain any service records available.
The leather on the seats appear to be in great condition with no rips tears or stains or signs of abuse or excessive wear

Hi, Can you tell me the type tires and age? Also, it does not appear that a major services has been performed. What are the service intervals and can you verify they have been met. What is the condition of the leather seats? Thanks
@BarryLe I am sorry that you don’t like the color combo. The original owner enjoyed it for many years, as you know everyone has their own taste. As for swapping the interior out to red, I would say it would cost a lot less to swap the top to black or tan if you don’t like the combo. But you do have a fully serviced manual transmission vantage. Which is a delight.
Boston Motorsports: The silver body, red top, and two tone tan interior makes for an odd combination. I think it is a real negative. How much would it cost to change out the interior to red.
