Unveiled in 2005 based upon the 987 Boxster, the original Porsche Cayman featured a sleek fastback coupe design that provided a stiffer chassis and increased storage capacity compared to its open-top counterpart. Finished in Guards Red over a black interior, this 2007 Cayman S also features an optional Tiptronic S transmission, the Preferred Package, Sport Seats, Guards Red seatbelts, and more. Initially delivered to Porsche Gold Coast of New York, this example has made its way to California where it is now being offered for auction while showing approximately 48k miles on the odometer.
This 987 comes finished in Guards Red. The Cayman S features red-painted brake calipers and dual exhaust outlets compared to the base model and this example has been upgraded with aftermarket LED taillights. It rides on factory 18" Cayman S wheels with optional colored Porsche center crests and Sumitomo 95Y tires with approximately 80% tread remaining up front and 90% in the rear. The seller adds that the car has always been kept in climate-controlled storage, and two areas have been touched up near the fuel filler under previous ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features optional black leather Sport Seats with Guards Red seat belts. Additional options include Porsche Communication Management 2.1 (PCM) and the Preferred Package (PPA) which includes self-dimming mirrors and rain sensors, heated seats, floormats, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The seller adds that a 991.2 GTS carbon fiber steering wheel has been installed. A slight imperfection is present on the dashboard, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The first-generation Cayman S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine featuring a two-stage resonance induction system, integrated dry-sump lubrication, and VarioCam Plus variable valve timing. As much as 295 HP and 252 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of an optional Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and Active Brake Differential (ABD) come standard. The CARFAX includes a total of 14 service history records dating back as far as 2007, and a Pre-Purchase Inspection was carried out on March 22, 2023.
This sale will include a clean title.
The Seller Wants You to Know: "I've owned 7 Porsches, this is the tightest and best feeling one I've ever owned and at present, I own 2 2018 991.2s, one a Carrera 4S and the other a Targa 4 GTS. When people ask me which one I prefer driving, it's this Cayman S."

@glennont Super, I'm looking forward to it......but my 2001 twin turbo might have to go
Congratulations Porsche2001TT, you will love this car. I have 5 vehicles and one has to go. The 991.2's are vanity and ego, it's a sad thing because this car is solid joy.

Beautiful example -- I have a similar 2007, but it's a base with 18K miles. I affirm the seller's comments on being the 'tightest and best feeling' to drive. Driving the 'Tail of the Dragon' in the Great Smoky mountains will confirm that fact! While the S model is the more popular in the market today you can have just as good experience with the base. They are a joy to drive.

Yes they do. Left side down, right side up. It was a $2,200 upgrade.
Do the new 991.2 steering wheel with upgraded paddles work correctly to make the transmission upshift and downshift? Thanks!
