This 2007 Porsche 987 Cayman S is presented in a rare Lago Green Metallic finish over Sand Beige leather upholstery and pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its mid-mounted flat-six engine. Options include 19” Turbo wheels, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, spoiler lips in aluminum look, interior trim in exterior color, and more. Acquired by the seller approximately one year ago from Porsche Fort Myers, Florida, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction out of New Mexico showing approximately 40k miles on the odometer.
This Cayman S is finished in the rare shade of Lago Green Metallic and features optional aluminum-look front spoiler lips. It can be distinguished as an "S" model from the base Cayman by its red-painted brake calipers and dual center-mounted exhaust outlets. This 987 rides on 19” Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from 2017. It has been optioned with aluminum-look spoiler lips. The seller notes a few small imperfections on the front bumper and hood and states that the red “S” model designation is faded. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor front-end damage in 2020.
Inside, this 987 is upholstered in Sand Beige leather and features optional matching floor mats and trim strips painted in the exterior color. The Sport Chrono Package was additionally opted for. The seller notes the air conditioning system was repaired under their ownership and they have added a black shift knob along with an aftermarket stereo and navigation system. The factory shift knob as well as the original Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 2.1 with extended navigation and PCM Package in aluminum-look are said to accompany the sale.
The mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six produces up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft. of torque, sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and Active Brake Differential (ABD) come standard. The seller reports to have replaced the clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder. Additionally, an aftermarket radiator has been installed along with an upgraded FVD oil pan. The seller notes that the car is due for an oil change.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, a car cover, extensive documentation, the original shift knob, the original PCM system, and a clean title.

Researching common sales-asking prices for similar 07 Cayman S, the amounts were all over the place. Some as low as $22k, others upto $40k. Weird market for Caymans....Just sayin...

@TexasTRex For a lot of that of that its before my ownership so I wouldn't even make a guess.
Having worked for a dealership shop before I can answer some of them. A lot of inspections are done by service porters, the lowest paid person in a shop. It's a simple checklist that they're going through that it's very easy to make mistakes on if you're not paying close attention.
Significant Carfax descrepiences.... car takes a year to sell new....car color is Tan until 2022?....convertible top is serviced?....60K service at 24K?.....any explanation???
The work was done before the PPI. Swapping the dual mass flywheel for the lightweight flywheel would reasonably increase the noticeable vibrations. I haven't noticed myself. As for the pedal travel and actuation, they are the same as before the work was done. Which doesn't affect the drivability of the car at all.
I'm assuming you serviced the clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder after the PPI noted the clutch only engages halfway, and transmission makes noise - or did you have clutch work done and the transmission & clutch still have the issues noted in the PPI? Thank you, Sean
Here is the PPI link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DsQohIcELB-PswJKdVQznghN2zxdGuhG/view?usp=drivesdk
I am certain that the PPI will result in a couple of questions I'll answer those when they come up.
I want to start with, the car has received an oil change and new wiper blades just last month. I'm not at work today but I could scan a recent PPI that was done in February. I will do that and post it first thing tomorrow.
Are any service records available to share? You mentioned in the prior auction that you had an inspection done on the car after your purchase, including a DME report. Can you share the results of that inspection?
