Finished in Carrara White over Sand Beige standard leather upholstery, this 2007 Porsche 987 Cayman S pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its mid-mounted flat-six engine. It was factory-optioned with colored Porsche-crested wheel center caps, automatic climate control, a painted rear center console, and Sand Beige floor mats. This 987 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois with less than 46k miles on the odometer.
The Cayman S can be distinguished from the entry-level model by its red-painted brake calipers and dual exhaust tips. This example comes finished in Carrara White and rides on 18” Cayman S wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2018-2019. Other features include a speed-activated rear spoiler, front fog lights, side air intakes, an opening rear hatch, and center-mounted tailpipes. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is situated within Sand Beige standard leather upholstery. Accessories include automatic climate control, power windows and mirrors, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, a central locking system, and an upgraded Alpine touchscreen head unit. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
A mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with cross-drilled discs at each corner. The CARFAX report shows a total of 25 service history entries dating back to the initial delivery.
This sale will include a clean title and owner’s manuals.
The seller would like you to know: “Clean CARFAX! Original paint! No paintwork! Maintained and serviced! Super low mileage Cayman S in a rare color combo and spec! These do not come up for sale every day in this color combo! You will be hard-pressed to find another!”

@Daman410 the car did not make reserve and will be heading to Deal Tank, if you refresh your screen you will be able to make an offer to the seller.
How long does it take to process after the auction ends....? (First time dealing with this site) Did you win the car "jgkrislaw"?

@collectorcars Thank you!
@CarsAreFun We will work on that and post the video shortly.
Seller, can you please share a video of a cold start filmed from the rear of the car? I understand that we are in the final few hours of the auction, but it would greatly help. Nothing special or fancy needed, just would like to hear the startup and hear the engine idle for 30 seconds. Thank you very much! :)

I didn't see this car online until yesterday and put in a bid.
@Boatpix Thanks for sending the link with only a day left. I don’t see how this will be helpful for the bidders during this auction, but if the car ends up, not selling, we are more than happy to have this commissioned and performed when we retail it on our website.
@collectorcars There is a guy that specializes in a three day oil analysis and is an expert on oil analysis of these engines. You take a sample today, he gets in tomorrow and sends you an email the next day. You need science and not speculation with these engines and I've been burned relying on sellers. You might remember the name Lake Speed as in a race car driver? It's his son. https://www.speediagnostix.com/

@Boatpix If you want an oil analysis we kindly ask you have a shop perform the test and have the sample sent out. If you have a relationship with LN and they can accommodate your request same day as you are implying and would like for them to do that you are welcome to schedule an appointment with them and we can pay to have the vehicle transported to their facility as we will not be adding 160 miles on the vehicle round trip while the auction is running with a day left.
Even though I said pretty please (and am the high bidder) and you are 90 minutes from LN Engineering that offers oil analysis (and expert engine building with a patent on aluminum sleeves for these engines) I'm supposed to get a PPI done at your friendly recommended PPI places? Pass. Post Script: The other "rare" white first generation Cayman that sold earlier today on this site had almost twice the miles and 8 more HP but a lot more interest. I am at a loss for why?
@Boatpix Sorry to hear about your experience. You have a day left to schedule a PPI and do any due diligence you need done. I don’t think you’ll have enough time to do an oil analysis with black stone with only a day left. We recommend Ogden motor car, or Barnaba in the area. There is no smoke on start up or soot on the tail pipes btw.
I bought a similar no reserve 2006 Cayman S with 47K miles on Hemmings just last year and although the long term owner stated “I have checked the oil filter at each oil change and found no evidence of metal shavings" and "no smoke" a funny thing must have happened on the 2000 miles enclosed transport from Nevada to Miami. I put a dealer plate on it and drove it to the membership warehouse and it was smoking and the previously new oil was now full of metal. "Unfortunately, Hemmings has no standing in this case now that you have taken possession of the car" is what I was told. The least expensive rebuild I've been quoted is $15,500 assuming the core with metal shavings is ok or that charge is another $6,000. So, I'm looking for an engine and this might be the ticket. If you can find a running takeout engine that is generally over $10K because only engines of a small number of years are compatible as most of the originals have the bore scoring or some other failure. Can you do an oil analysis for me pretty please? I am the high bidder.

We just updated the listing with paint meter pictures of all panels. The vehicle indicates and shows original paint on all panels. Thank you.

PCARMARKET COMMENTATOR,
Thanks for the clarification. I thought that was the case.
@WRENCH.56 "The seller would like you to know" section is supplied directly from the seller of the vehicle. PCARMARKET does in fact write the listing text above that section based off of information provided by the seller.
@Quackbury thanks for the clarification, the car also has Michelin pilot sport tires as well, which are not the factory tires offered. When we said all stock our reference was to the engine the car is stock, no upgraded exhaust, no baffled oil pan, no intake, no software, etc. As always we recommend and insist that all parties have the vehicle inspected by having a pre purchase inspection performed prior to bidding on the vehicle as due diligence. We have Indy shops such as Ogden motor car and Barnaba auto sport in the area that specialize in these vehicle. If you have any hesitations about the vehicle do not bid until you have had it inspected. All inspections are to be done prior to auction ending not after the auction has been completed. Thank you
@collectorcars Actually, it's not all stock at all. The Alpine head unit is very much aftermarket. That! And the fact that! your Seller Wants You to Know statement! Has more exclamation points than any 20 recent listings!!! Will naturally lead to questions in potential bidders' minds!!!
@WRENCH.56 No worries have a great weekend sir!
I was referring to the “The seller would like you to know” section.
I thought those comments came from the seller, not Pcar Market.
Am I wrong?
If so, please accept my apologies.
@52172 All stock.
@WRENCH.56 We didn’t write it @pcarmarket did
This is indeed a very nice Cayman and I’ve always liked the white over beige combo.
That said, I take objection to the seller’s claim that this is a rare color combination and a well optioned car. I’ve seen plenty of Crocs with this color combo and as I see it, it’s pretty much a standard out of the box issue.
Again, not at all knocking your car, but only your description.

Very nice any aftermarket parts or all factory still?
