The original Porsche Cayman S was introduced at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show as a fastback coupe based on the 987 Boxster featuring styling inspired by some of Porsche’s most iconic vintage racing cars as well as a 3.4-litre flat-six engine with upgraded cylinder heads derived from the 997 Carrera. This 2007 example is finished in Carrara White over a Sand Beige interior and equips a 6-speed manual transmission and the optional Preferred Package which adds the Bose High-End Sound Package along with several other amenities. Now under the care of its fourth owner, this Cayman S was previously listed on PCARMARKET and is currently being offered for auction out of Minnesota while showing approximately 52k miles on the odometer.
The fixed-roof 987 Cayman draws styling cues from classic Porsches including the 550 and 904 Coupe. This example is finished in Carrara White and is distinguishable as a Cayman S from the entry-level model by red-painted brake calipers and dual central exhaust outlets. Other features include a speed-activated rear spoiler, integrated front fog lights, side air intakes, an opening rear hatch, and 18” Cayman S wheels. The seller notes the front bumper was previously refinished to address rock chips and the wheels were dressed in new Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires in May 2019 within the last 12k miles. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Sand Beige interior is upholstered in partial leather and includes the Preferred Package which adds the Bose High-End Sound Package, self-dimming mirrors & rain sensor, heated seats, and matching carpet floor mats. Other features include power windows and door locks, automatic climate control, and a factory stereo system. The seller notes a slight scuff on the passenger seat as well as some small scratches in the tan-painted trim pieces and slight sun fading on the carpeted engine cover. The inner left door handle was replaced in 2020 and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine sends up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated, cross-drilled rotors at each corner. Standard equipment for the Cayman S includes integrated dry-sump lubrication, VarioCam Plus variable valve timing, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and Automatic Braking Differential (ABD). The seller notes an oil change was completed in 2022 along with the replacement of the water pump, battery, and left-front wheel sensor. Older service items include new hood struts and a cabin filter in 2021, all new brake pads in 2020, and a brake system flush in 2014.
This sale will include some service records, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, and a clean title.

To make sure everyone understands my previous note in regards to oil changes. That information came directly from the previous owner. He owned the car between 2014 and 2022 and it was maintained meticulously.
IMSB problems is really not a factor in the 987.1 generation of Caymans/Boxsters. The failure rate is less than 1% and its not serviceable anyway without a major engine teardown. Beautiful car - GLWA!
49,986 is what it had on it when I bought it last May. It was stored in a heated garage all winter.
Stuttgart1,
What were the miles when you bought it?
Bid in the amount of $23,250
The simple answer is no IMS issues and no remediation. The oil filter is religiously checked at oil service intervals and these typically give considerable warning. should the car have needed a clutch or another reason to be in the area I would have certainly included the IMS update.
Ok, I'll ask. Any records of ims service or Blackstone oil analysis reports?
Thanks!

My wife and I live in northern Minnesota, the plan was to buy a fun car for the summer as a daily driver. We have other vehicles for lousy weather, winter, etc. Unfortunately for me I didn't take into consideration the unbelievably horrible roads that I need to take on a daily basis in town. The Cayman S is a phenomenal sports car, but it has turned into only a weekend getaway car for me. It's hard to even think it, but it looks like we will need to buy less of a sports car.
Nice presentation. One year of ownership - why the quick turn?

This Cayman S is in tremendous shape, never been on a racetrack, never smoked in, and never needed in lousy weather. Please contact me with any questions, good luck.
