Finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Stone Grey interior, this 2007 Porsche Boxster S is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired to its 3.4-liter flat-six engine. It also features the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose High-End Sound Package, Power Seat Package, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM 2.1). Cared for by two prior owners and with just over 24k miles on the odometer, this Boxster S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This 987 is finished in GT Silver Metallic and is distinguishable as an “S” model from the base Boxster by its red painted brake calipers and dual-tipped exhaust outlet. Other equipment includes a retractable Stone Grey convertible top, integrated fog lights, side air intakes, dual roll hoops, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and 17” Boxster S wheels in silver. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires showing date code from 2022 in front and 2021 in the rear. The seller notes some minor scrapes are present on the rear bumper and bumperettes, a minor dent can be seen on the passenger door, and the convertible top shows creasing and a small hole on the right rear side. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing an accident with rear-end damage in 2018.
This Boxster S features a Stone Grey interior with optional power-operated seats including driver position memory. Other accessories include a three-spoke leather steering wheel, black carpet floor mats, automatic climate control, cruise control, the optional Bose High-End Sound Package, a Sport Chrono dashboard clock, and a Porsche Communication Management (PCM 2.1) infotainment system. The seller notes some minor signs of wear on the door panels and seat side trim.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine sends up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and crossed-drilled rotors at each corner. The CARFAX report shows regular oil changes, a 40k-mile service by Porsche of Naples in 2021, recommended maintenance at Porsche Tampa in September 2023, and service other service history records.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting this auction. This is a well-maintained 2 owner Florida car with regular oil changes shown as per Carfax. The vehicle is completely stock and is in perfect condition mechanically.”

@Fellscreek Good morning, the IMS on this vehicle is non-serviceable without disassembly of the entire engine. Porsche revised the original IMS bearing used on 996 and 986 cars to a larger bearing which cannot be removed with the engine in the car. The IMS bearing on 2006 and later 997 and 987 cars is almost a non-issue as failure rates are extremely low. Thanks for your question.

Hello - the IMSB in this era Boxster (987.1) does not require changing, which was wise to do in the preceding 986 era. To change it in this car would require an engine teardown and with less than a 1% failure rate, it's widely accepted that it is simply is not needed.
Sorry for the question but has the IMS been addressed ?
