@ding62 Same here...once seller cleared up the seat issue, I tried to get my local dealer to agree to CPO this car for me but they wouldn't do it..drats. They did pull the VIN. They also sent me this link: https://www.classic.com/a/worldwide-auctioneers-riyadh-auction-2019-vnK6d4w/lots/2007-porsche-911-turbo-coupe-4ZbZ924/
At least the price went up nicely for the seller from the last auction and shows these cars are increasing in value and will likely continue to do so. Great buy for the buyer and a good sale for seller!
@ding62 because I am not a dealer or flipper just an enthusiast and I already have a unicorn 997TT. Bid higher next time and you may come away with it. Not sure why banter over the banter then. And yes this was a great deal and I agree on overpricing by dealers which I am tired of as well, that is why I only deal with private sellers when I am in the market. That being said this car sold for well under its potential value but then again cars are only as valuable as what you are willing to pay or accept for them. ON to the next. Congratulations to both buyer and seller!
@Robert6 there was a 997 GT3 that went for only 90 yesterday unfortunately. The 997 was the last 911 that had any grip on what the old school cars use to be. Now we are “soul electrified “. Really too bad!
@JAB12 I love all of this banter, if it was so cheap why did you not bid and sell it for a profit. Fair deal for all here. Tired of the dealers selling at inflated values. Wish it was closer to home for me, I could have gone a little higher. Best of luck to both parties.
This has to be the deal of all deals! $100K would not even make me flinch for mine. Well done!
Sold for $84,000
@jimmyjames My thoughts exactly!!

I'll add a little color to the rarity of the Makassar package on a 997.1TT. In 2010 I decided I wanted a 997 Turbo, but it had unequivocally to be manual transmission, a rare color or paint to sample and equipped with a Mezger engine, so I had just missed the window to order a new one. I spent the next 9 years looking for that perfect example which I was very lucky to find in Summer 2019 where the criteria at that point had added low mileage to the equation. I PPi'd over half a dozen cars and looked at at least 30 or 40 cars during that timeframe. Out of all of them, only one other had this Makassar package and it was sold from under me by that dealer after we had a verbal agreement inside of 24 hours. Story for another day. My point is this example being offered here clearly checks all the boxes so hopefully in the next 45 mins someone has the clarity to understand what this is and they will be taking home a rare rare and very well preserved example. I can tell you from personal experience they do not come around often at all! Good luck to all!
Bid in the amount of $80,000
@Harleys3 Thank you for your comments and i am glad you were able to inspect the car. i just want to treat everyone that has inquired with the respect and truthfulness i would want in purchasing. Good Luck with your bidding!
For what it may be worth to other bidders, while I was unable to personally inspect this car, my cousin did for me yesterday. He describes it as in “new car condition”. And he said the interior is in better condition than the exterior. Apparently the photos don’t fully capture the quality of this car. He said “this is in collector car condition”.
And I did personally speak to the seller. He impressed me as a knowledgeable, capable and truthful person. As a novice potential Porsche purchaser he gave me advice and suggestions to consider in my decision making. Hence my comfort in bidding for this car.

@Hpizking Now i see what you are referring to... What you see is leather conditioner residue, they have since wiped that, as well as the scuff plate had a little wipe needed, sorry for the confusion
@Robert6 I explained what I saw and the picture I saw it in. Sorry if you don’t like the description I gave but then tell me what it is I am looking at on the bolster or give us a close up of that area. I don’t rely on someone else’s inspection if it’s right in the picture. With your comment, I will move on. GLWA

Bid in the amount of $62,000
@Hpizking I'm not sure WHAT pic you are talking about, but I can assure you there are NO rips or marks in the seats!!!! The interior is perfect on this car and can be confirmed by the PPI report attached. Please be carefull with what you say!...this car has also been inspected by two bidders here and has come back glowingly!
Interested to add this to my garage to replace a bad decision on my part to sell a 6sp Turbo of the same vintage years ago— but the drivers seat in pic 38 shows small but significant rips or tears on the outer lower bolster that belie the mileage. It’s a shame that someone was so careless getting in and out. Does anyone know if that can be fixed easily?

@Robert6 Does this highly optioned 997 Turbo have navigation?
@DFried Were you able to physically inspect the car? Can you please share your impressions with the rest of us? Thank you.
@JoesBikes @joeythenose Thanks Joe, I have sent you a message. FYI anyone interested in discussion over the phone can obtain my number from Adam @ PCAR
@Robert6 Hey Robert, you mentioned calling you with questions. I'm not sure how to get a hold of you.
@DFried The copy of the last service I can provide, however it's not with me at this time, as mentioned its had a fresh service. The Title is not relevant info to the car and is an unusual request. I'm not comfortable putting my private info out there like that. You can call me to chat further if you like, thanks
Robert thanks for the posts. I also need copy of title and last service.
@DFried Info will be posted today , thanks. Inspection went exceptionally well
Robert it’s time for me to ask you for copies of the following:
PPI
DME report
Copy of Title
Copy of original window sticker
Bid in the amount of $25,000
@CodyBach No that's not possible as there is a reserve price.
is it possible the auction can close out at 10,000 or is there a certain limit ?
@DFried Yes, no problem to view and inspect tomorrow
Bid in the amount of $5,000
@Robert6 Very well. As this is an open auction all that documentation imagery should be posted, albeit redacted your personal information. No doubt the car will sell. Will check back next week. Good luck!
@JAB12 It has a fresh service, PPI and DME and paint gauge report, no issues with any, all are available to the serious. Thank you
No affiliation on this listing other than being a fellow Unicorn 997TT owner + PTS to boot. My Additional 2 cents: @Robert6 seller, post some photos of said Pebble Beach and/or UAE events and any results this car obtained. It is clearly a show car. Also, there are multiple Indy Porsche shops in AZ that can do a PPI plus DME on this gem well before the auction closed and you can post those results. The cost of that vs added value on a higher hammer price is a no brainer. Like I said on my first post, if I had not found my perfect 997TT already, no one would beat my hammer price on this auction come closing day. No, 1. Good luck to all.
Is the car available to be seen tomorrow?
David
@SBerastequi It went over with other Pebble beach cars to an event there, that was just a customs notation that it left and came back. The car was not driven, only shown at the event. It is and has always remained titled here in the U.S.
What is behind this car showing being exported from Saudi Arabia in March of 2020?
Sorry not near the car to get you the tire info, but they are new. Paint is all orig. and gauged, no bra. Not a mark anywhere on the car and as mentioned in the description, its as new . thankyou
What is date code on the tires. Does the car have a clear bra? Is it all original paint? Have you paint metered the car? Do you have a dme?
@JAB12 Sorry I do not have one of those for sale
@Robert6 You wouldn't happen to have a 964 Targa offered as well: MT non red/black/white would you? I know the feeling + 1 here on the fastidiousness curse.
@JAB12 Thankyou! As Fastidious owner ( it can be a curse sometimes! ) I take great pride in my collection. An FYI to all outthere the MSRP was actually closer to $150 k not the $144K as mis- printed . Enjoy the hobby!
Sir, I want to commend you on the superb preservation of this example. If I was still looking for a 997 Turbo I would be all over this. Hat tipped, this is the one to have. GLWA.
Hello everyone and thankyou in advance for considering my Porsche offered here. If you are truly looking for an exceptional example, this is it. As new in every aspect, needs nothing. A collectible and desirable Turbo 6 spd. with rare options. Please email any questions you may have, I will be happy to oblige and good luck bidding!
