Now up for auction is this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera S Cabriolet finished in Paint to Sample Stone Grey Metallic over a custom-tailored red leather interior. This 2007 example was specially configured at an original sticker price of over $116k, showcasing painted 19” Sport Design wheels, extended leather trim, a 6-speed manual transmission, and the Sport Chrono Package. Said to have been purchased by the seller from its original owner in 2011, this exceptional 997 Cabriolet is being offered for auction out of Washington with approximately 59k miles showing on the odometer.
The Carrera S is factory finished in Paint to Sample Stone Grey Metallic. The paint is said to be entirely original and in excellent overall condition. A few minor cosmetic imperfections are depicted in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. Exclusive exterior details include a Stone Grey cabriolet top and painted 19” Sport Design wheels in a deviated dark grey color. The seller reports that a set of new Bridgestone Potenza tires were installed within the last 3k miles.
Inside, the cabin has been factory custom-tailored with red leather to sample and deviated grey carpet. Extended leather upholstery encompasses the door finishers, steering wheel column, rear center console, A-pillars, speaker surrounds, backrest coat hooks, and rearview mirror. Other factory options include a thicker steering wheel in leather, door entry guards in stainless steel, the Bose High-End Sound Package, heated front seats, self-dimming mirrors, and the Sport Chrono Package. The interior is said to be in excellent condition and all gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.
This first-generation 997 Carrera S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8 L flat-six engine that sends 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. All routine maintenance has been kept up to date and the seller had recorded the following recent service items at the corresponding intervals.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, owner's books, the original window sticker, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, and a clean title. With its custom factory specifications, this incredibly unique 997 offers a very special opportunity.

@dennisconnie2 - In mid 2005, Porsche updated the IMS with a larger more robust bearing. As a 2007, this car will have this updated IMS. These have a very low failure rate. Also, They are non-servicable, so they can not be replaced without spiting the block.

@mbarnes916 I'll take a close-up of the bottom of the fender, where it scraped a parking curb. Sorry, I don't/can't take pictures of the underside of the car, unless you want to see photos taken by holding my iphone under the car. I'll send them to the PCARMARKET site, for posting. By the way, the car has never been in an accident, to my knowledge. Original owner was meticulous, kept it garaged, as have I.
Can you get a close up of what appears to be curb rash/scrape in front of the front passenger wheel on the bumper?
Also do you have any pics of the underside of the vehicle?
@dennisconnie2 I replied that it has not been checked or replaced. Thanks for your query.
Hi There
Please comment on the IMS bearing
Thanks

@fredericfaulkner thank you for the start up video.

@fredericfaulkner Hi. I was able to upload the videos and photos to PCARMARKET. They should be posted shortly. On the “walk around” it shows me stopping at the slight indent on RR fender and surface scratch on driver’s door. These are the only paint flaws. Otherwise original paint.

@fredericfaulkner Creating and uploading a video is relatively easy. Go to you tube and search how to make a you tube video. I haven’t sold a car on Pcarmarket so I don’t know what the steps are to get them posted. Ask your Pcarmarket assistant to help you.

@urfealex The IMS was not checked. I tried the cold start video but don't know how to upload it to the site.
When you had the clutch changed was the IMS bearing checked or replaced? Thanks in advance. Very nice 911/997

@Mercyhealth Hi. i just got home, (not driving the Porsche) and will do a cold start and walk around tomorrow.
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@fredericfaulkner great looking car! Anyway we can get some videos up cold start, walk around? Also a few more close ups of the driver seat wear seen in pics 38 and 42 would be helpful for me.
@fredericfaulkner It may be Rock Grey Metallic.
@og.amer I don't believe it is, either. The original dealer hand wrote that on the window sticker, but it is more of a metallic, Olive/Silver combination. To your point, I don't believe it is Stone Grey at all. Thanks.
@og.amer Upon closer inspection, I don’t think that’s Stone Grey after all. ?
I’m a big fan of Stone Grey. The color is so dynamic and changes a lot depending on the light. Good luck with the sale of this beautiful car.
Hi. I'm the owner, Fred. I'm the second owner. The original owner bought it from a dealer in San Diego, CA. (MSRP of almost $117K) I bought it in July 2011 with 28K miles on it. I've kept it garaged in Southern California before retiring in Washington State 2 years ago. I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have. The paint to order is called Stone Grey. I have a small bottle of it if needed for touchups. The interior is all red leather, everything.
