Available for auction at no reserve is this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S Coupe finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Cocoa Special Leather interior. This 2007 4S came factory optioned with the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Carbon Package, painted rockers, leather Sport Seats with crested headrests, silver seatbelts, a 6-speed manual transmission, and much more. Since it was acquired by the current owner about two years ago, this 997 has also been upgraded with an Ohlins coilover suspension, HRE wheels, and a Fabspeed carbon fiber air intake. A lifelong California car, this Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction without reserve while showing approximately 96k miles on the odometer.
This Carrera comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with factory-exclusive painted rocker panels. As a 4S model, this 997 features wider fenders than its rear-wheel-drive counterparts. The finish has been preserved with a full application of ceramic coating as well as a layer of clear paint protection film over the front end. Additional photos are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Carrera 4S rides on a set of upgraded 19” HRE 540 wheels in a machined silver finish with chrome lips and Michelin Pilot Sport tires dated from 2011. The original wheels are also said to accompany the sale.
Inside, you will find a sumptuous Cocoa Brown Special Leather interior highlighted by a pair of Sport Seats with exclusive Porsche crested headrests and contrasting silver seat belts. Additional features include the Carbon Package, illuminated door entry guards in carbon fiber, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel in leather, and the Bose High-End Sound package. Some wear is present on the seating surfaces as well as some cracks on the carbon fiber handbrake trim. A complete list of factory options is provided below:
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission that sends as much as 355 HP to all four wheels. In addition to a 30 HP increase over the standard Carrera, the 997 4S features larger four-piston fixed brakes derived from the 911 Turbo. This example is also factory equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus enabling variable performance settings for the driver to choose from. A set of upgraded Ohlins POU MU40S1 coilovers has been installed along with a Fabspeed Competition air intake system which promotes airflow and induction sound. The CARFAX highlights services dating as far back as 2006 and the seller notes routine service has been kept up to date throughout their ownership. The tire pressure warning light is currently illuminated as a result of the aftermarket wheels. The seller notes that the original suspension will accompany the sale.
This sale will include a clean title (lien). With its beautifully appointed interior, engaging 6-speed manual gearbox, and tasteful high-end upgrades, this Carrera 4S presents a fantastic value.

@luis.seneriz I did not drive the car so I can’t speak to the condition of the clutch. According to the seller he’s only done an oil change during his ownership - no other services.
@navarrojiii. Thanks for letting us know. Did you drive the car? If you did how did the clutch and brakes felt?? Thanks again
Hi everyone,
I was able to see the vehicle in person today. Shawn was a nice guy and very accommodating and let me spend as much time with the car as needed. He also took me on a a brief ride.
I want to be honest about this particular 997 but at the same time I do not want to disparage this auction. That being said, these are some of my thoughts:
- The Carrrera 4S badge is definitely crooked so you make any assumptions about that
- Carbon fiber trim is missing where the cup holders are located
- Frunk release button doesn’t work inside cabin
- 1 Key
- Front cowl is weathered and might need to be replaced
- Ohlins Dampers are nice but a little stiff
- Car seemed to run well and the intake sounded amazing at high Rpms
Good luck to the seller and eventual winner!
@gomezoscar @gomezoscar, correction @shawn_c4s
Hey @shawb_c4s I'm just over the hill from you in Brentwood. It looks like the rear badge is crooked. Is there any way you could post paint meter readings of that panel vs the others. Thanks!
@Shawn_c4s who needs a shop? Get a floor jack and your phone :)
@Griehl will have them up first thing in the morning. Due to new year, shops have been closed.
@Shawn_c4s Interesting. I haven't received anything. Regardless, I'm still interested and live about 15 min away from Tarzana. Please let me know when works for you. Thank you.
do you have underside pics?
@Griehl I do not have comp readings and I have not had it scoped.
do we have comp readings and has it been scoped?
@Funracer I do not have a DME report.
Did you post a DME report? If so I missed it. Thanks
@QSR I have responded to everyone’s messages and told everyone to call me. Two of the bidders were planning on coming to view but they changed their mind. I reside in the valley so today and tomorrow, anyone local is welcome to come to view. I have just uploaded a driving video. Waiting for Pcarmarket to upload it on here. Let me know if you guys have any other questions or concerns.
@DOGGERJK The seller never responded to my request. Perhaps he did to @navarrojiii though i doubt it.
@URS6 The service now light is for oil change service which was not reset. I have owned the car for 2 years and have done 3 oil changes at a local shop name 2k Racing in Reseda. I Took some pics of the wheels and will add shortly. I will try my best to get the underside pics today. My main goal today is before New years Festivities start is to get a Driving Video.
What service does the car need? (Indicated by the "service now" light). Could you add some more pictures of the underside please and the OEM wheels? Thank you. beautiful car.
@luis.seneriz You are absolutely correct on the IMS and the wheels are the lobsters.
To anyone local to the car and has seen it in person, can you please comment on the overall condition and confirm the listing descriptions? Thank you
Bid in the amount of $36,500
Can you tell me which kind of wheels are the other ones that come with the sale (ie lobsters). This engine has the better IMs, to replace it you have to open the engine , split the cases. On the 997 the change happened early in 06.
Good day everyone. It’s raining cats and dogs in LA today so hopefully tomorrow I will post a driving video. Happy Bidding and Goodluck!

@Nt1992 The 997 with the 3.8 does not have the same issue. I believe the clutch has been changed at least once in its lifetime, unfortunately I do not have any record of that.
Bid in the amount of $26,313
I am familiar with the 996, do the 997 have the same issue with IMS? Has this had a new clutch or is it still driving with the original clutch? Looks stunning!
I'm local as well and would love to see the car. Is this something that can be arranged?
@Canuck127 You’re absolutely correct. Puts a smile on my face every time I get in.
I had a Boxster S in that color combo. That cocoa interior is awesome.
Hello everyone and Happy Holidays. Hate to see this car leave but I have to do what’s right. I just got married two months ago and the wife is pressing for a house purchase. Happy wife happy life. I’m here for all your questions and wishing the bidders good luck.
Oh my, the rear stance on the first photo is sexy as hell. Nothing better than rear hips on a Porsche. Beautiful car and GLWA!
Bid in the amount of $26,000
Beautiful 997… I’m in LA and would like to see it in person if possible. Are you allowing viewings?
@Drgbright did you see the last 4 photos?
Could we see a Carfax ?
Can you share a cold start video and a driving video please. Thank you and merry Christmas ?
