Next up at auction is this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera 4 Coupe, finished in Meteor Gray Metallic over a black leather interior. This Carrera 4 was said to be delivered new in Connecticut and was subsequently traded in to Inskip Porsche of Warwick, Rhode Island, where it was acquired by the current owner in 2011. Optioned with the Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Bose High-End Sound Package, heated power front seats, bi-xenon headlights and 19” Carrera Sport wheels, this 997 dictated an original window sticker price of over $89k. Displaying approximately 64,200 miles on the odometer, this 997 Carrera 4 is now being offered at auction by the seller based in Rhode Island.
The body is finished in Meteor Gray Metallic, with paint protection film installed on the front bumper, hood, and rocker panels. The exterior is reported to remain in excellent condition, absent of any notable blemishes. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. The optional 19” Carrera Sport wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires showing date codes from 2020 with just 2500 miles traveled since new.
The interior features 8-way power-adjustable heated Sport seats upholstered in black leather, with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include self-dimming mirrors, a power glass sunroof, black floormats, a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, Porsche PCM with navigation, a 9-speaker Bose High-End sound system, and automatic climate control. In addition, a Bluetooth streaming module, an iPhone charging cradle, a Sirius XM receiver, and a Valentine One radar detector have been professionally installed. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This Carrera 4 is powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine, producing up to 325 HP and 273 lb.ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by a desirable 6-speed manual transmission allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH to be achieved in under 5 seconds. Standard features of this Carrera include VarioCam variable valve timing, a two-stage resonant induction system, an Active Braking Differential (ABD), and fixed 4-piston brake calipers paired with cross-drilled rotors. A binder full of detailed service records dating back to 2011 are said to accompany the sale.
This sale will include 2 sets of keys, owner’s books, the original window sticker, a battery charger, and a binder of comprehensive service records from when the vehicle was acquired by the current owner in 2011.

Did I overlook the "required" IMS discussion? From the one comment it appears the IMS is original and likely the clutch too. Probably not real concerns.

@useppaisland We refer all to the opening photo for a good indication of the stance, but certainly agree that a set of lowering springs would be a nice add. H&R’s are a good choice
You are correct, the stance of this 911 does look high.
I have lowering springs and shocks on my 911 and I can barely get my hand in between the tire and the fender. The lower the stance of the 911 the better it looks, it looks like it is going 100 mph standing still.
@QMSRI Pls watch walk around video for details on electronics updates
@Blubusdrvr All of the added electronic devices are mounted w Velcro and are easily removed. No holds were drilled.
Any chance of getting close up photos or at least a description of the various bits and bobs added to the center console? I recognize the V1 remote, but what is the silver lozenge-shaped bit with the Motorola logo? The box mounted on the ash tray? (Audio controls?) Are all three attached with double-sided tape? Velcro? Or was the plastic drilled? Seems curious placement, the tech is likely outdated, and the next owner may want to remove, so it would be good to know what they are and how affixed. Thank you.
The description states the CarFax is in the gallery. Can you post the CarFax please.
Regarding the oil analysis, the owner reports that the only reported abnormality was a slight dilution. He contacted Speed Diagnostix and they suggested it was likely due to dirty fuel injectors and suggested that he treat the fuel with Techtron Injector cleaner. The results show no evidence of problems related to an IMS or bore scoring (QMS comment - both of which are very uncommon among 3.6 liter, 2007, 997's)
Bidders
The most recent oil analysis (3/11/21) from Speed Diagnostix has been submitted to PCAR for posting. It should be live soon.
Bid in the amount of $24,911
@Blubusdrvr Oil tests were done by Speed Diagnostic , we’ll post the results this pm (files are on my laptop)
@QMSRI Do you have the reports from the oil analysis? Blackstone?
Good morning Bidders
An additional maintenance highlight. The owner updated the car to the larger capacity, spin on oil filters and has routinely opened each filter to check for debris (none found). Oil samples have been submitted for analysis and again, no issues found.

@Selo it’s stock.. stock ride height like all the other stock cars
Bid in the amount of $23,560
@Selo Regarding the stance, we’re guessing it’s the camera angle. Live it looks no different than a 2WD 997.
Very cool car, but the stance looks a bit high. Is it because of 4WD?

Good morning JPIII73
The scratches are restricted to the paint protection film. We've just submitted a walk around video to PCAR that should be added soon. In it you'll see a good close up view of the area.
Bid in the amount of $18,000
Good evening. The car looks very nice. Are the scratches on the front bumper through the paint protection film to the clear/paint or just in the film?
Hello Bidders,
We just compiled the following details from the car's service records dating back to the 1st owner. All service records come in a well organized binder.
The oil has been changed 16 times (every 4K miles) and the brake fluid has been flushed 5 times (every 12.8K miles). Each well before Porsche's recommended schedule.
A couple of minor corrections to the PCAR description. The car does not have factory Navigation but please note that the iPhone cradle/connection integrates perfectly with infotainment system and gives audio "turn by turn" directions. The tires are Pilot Sport PS4's, not PS2's.
Best 997 wheels ever... I exchanged my lobster fork wheels on my C4S for these Carrera Sport wheels. GLWTA!
Great color combination.
Welcome to our auction.
Welcome to our of this well cared for 2007, 3.6 liter, 6 Speed, Wide Body, Porsche 997 C4.
This 2 owner car was purchased by the current owner from our local Porsche dealership in 2011 with just 26,000 miles. As you'll see from the partial service records listed here it's been maintained at a very high level. The owner has documented every service, oil change, tire change, etc., since his purchase. The car has been stored indoors during the off season and shows like a car with 1/2 it's 64,000 miles.
We look forward to your questions and invite all bidders to use the Contact Seller tab at the top of the listing or post your inquiries here. The car is available for on site inspections at our N. Kingstown, RI, facility (lift and tools) and we're happy to assist more distant bidders with on site pre-purchase inspections or live Facetime sessions.
Bid with confidence, it's even nicer in person,
