Featuring a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transaxle, this 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo Coupe is presented in Carrara White over a Sea Blue full leather interior. It comes factory-equipped with optional Porsche-crested headrests, Sea Blue floor mats, an aluminum footrest, and the Parking Assist System. Since the current owner’s purchase about two years ago, this 997 has also been modified with a TechArt exterior aero kit, 20” TechArt wheels, KW V3 coilovers, a BMC air filter, AWE intercoolers, D088 intake pipes, a Kline cat-less exhaust system, and a VR ECU tune. Showing approximately 33k miles on the odometer, this 997 Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Georgia.

Finished in Carrara White, the exterior has been modified with a TechArt aero kit including a front spoiler, side skirts, headlamp rings, a lower rear valence, and a rear wing. Other equipment includes wide fenders with side air intakes, Turbo-specific bumpers, bi-xenon headlights, headlamp washers, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, carbon fiber mirror accents, an electric sunroof, quad exhaust outlets, parking sensors, and red Porsche-branded brake calipers. The car rides on black-finished 20” TechArt wheels measuring 8.5” wide in front and 12” wide at the rear. New Michelin PS4 tires were mounted within the last 3k miles. The seller states that the car’s paint is all original apart from the aftermarket TechArt body components. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features Sea Blue full leather upholstery with matching carpets, an Alcantara headliner, and aluminum-look trim pieces. Accessories include heated and power-adjustable front seats, driver seat memory, optional Porsche-crested headrests, an aluminum footrest, Sea Blue floor mats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a multifunction trip computer, a Bose sound system, and a Passport radar detector. The sound system was modified under previous ownership with a Pioneer head unit, a Precision Power amplifier, and a 12” subwoofer in a custom rear deck. The seller notes that the subwoofer enclosure prevents the use of the rear seats.

Factory-rated at 480 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque, the 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine features twin Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers, dry sump lubrication, and VarioCam Plus variable valve timing. The engine was modified under current ownership with a BMC drop-in air filter, AWE intercoolers, D088 silicone intake pipes, a Kline cat-less exhaust system, and a VR ECU tune. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transaxle with an electronically controlled center differential. The suspension has been modified with KW V3 adjustable coilovers, and new brake pads and rotors were installed at 28k miles. The seller adds that all maintenance has been kept up to date, including previous replacements of the spark plugs, coil packs, belts, and hoses.

This sale will include a clean title (lien), owner's manuals, and two keys.

The seller would like you to know: “Excellent condition, car runs smoothly and is powerful”.

@Ngadban389 ever since owning the car the engine has ran smoothly with no issues what so ever. As for the rear seats, they’re in great condition, no damage, but it’ll have slight indentations from being down. But once up they should form back.

@Kaizomike808 - One other thing I noticed were the Overrevs that do exist were within the last 40 hours. This likely should be okay, but I want to confirm - you have not noticed any irregularities or differences with the motor since then - correct?

Lastly on the rear seats that are folded down - do they have any damage like indentations or scratches from things being present on them? A lot of people end up using the rear as storage unfortunately which ends up damaging the seats. Just want to make sure this is also not the case. Thanks Kaizo for clarifying

@Kaizomike808 Ahhh... OK. I've never seen that before.

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 1 weekago

@Protour2003 hahaha 😂 I’m originally from Honolulu, weird I’m owner 7 and 8. And owner 5 and 6 is the same person, I knew previous owner. Carfax seems to be doubling owners for no reason.

If you look at the Carfax, this car has logged more miles on a transporter than on the odometer. LOL Originally delivered in HI, went to NJ, to CA, to IL, back to HI and then to GA... I've never seen anything like this. Crazy

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 1 weekago

@Ngadban389 that is correct, the rear seats do not go up into the lock position. To remove the box and amp should be fairly easy, if you have a stereo shop do it. Or yourself if you’re comfortable with removal.

  • Ngadban389 (registered bidder) 2 months, 1 weekago

@kaizomike808 clarifying question - are the rear seats unusable/in the permanently down position because of the added subwoofer?

If so - do you know how complicated it would be to remove the aftermarket amp and subs from the car.

  • Ngadban389 (registered bidder) 2 months, 1 weekago

@biloselhi - you’re killing me smalls. Here’s that hoping the car would trade for 60k going out the window.

@Kaizomike808 many of the tuning companies alter the sensitivity of the parameters for misfires and knock sensors, and many other things, so the fact that there are misfires detected may just be that the the car is flashed to be more sensitive, and if the car was stock, the datalogs in the DME, may show less or none of the misfires it is showing, I brought it up to actually help your auction, not to knock the car at all, most people don’t know dirt about tuning, and how many parameters are/can be manipulated. I don’t know for sure what Vivid does for their approach and their tuning program for Porsche but it’s rare for a well maintained Porsche stock car (even a turbo) to have misfires, which would lead me to believe it’s probably a figment of the tune adjustments and not real Porsche normal level misfires to be concerned about. There’s something about a white turbo that gets me every time 🤓. It looks like someone is going to get a nice car if they reach your reserve

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Carguy19 As mentioned the ecu is tuned by VR , Vivid Racing. The spark plugs and coil packs were replaced when I bought and did all modifications in 2023. Thanks!!

  • titans99 (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

For a tuned car, that’s actually one of the better DMEs I have seen. Zero 5-6 range is all that truly matters.

  • TKAD (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Kaizomike808 - Pgs 40-41 on the DME outline the pertinent info re: range over-revs - opinions vary on the interpretation of the information, thank you for providing.

  • Carguy19 2 months, 2 weeksago

Might be a good idea to list what company did the reflashing, the DME report shows a good bit of hours it the upper rev range, and some misfire detection, it could be the tune very likely, or it could be a plug coil or other maintenance item. Good luck w the auction

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Ngadban389 nothing it’s just the shadow of the picture.

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Ngadban389 not sure on how to ready report either. But this was given to me by the independent shop. Sector 32 Motorsports. Keep in mind the car has a tune which may affect it or not.

  • Ngadban389 (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Kaizomike808 - do you know what's going on at the top of the Y-Pipe? It looks like it's leaking something, but that should only be air flowing through there.

  • Sylverlee (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

Making sure I interpret this DME report.. The recent over-revs were all done over the previous 150 hrs?

  • PCARMARKET_MODERATOR 2 months, 2 weeksago

@TKAD I can email receipts upon request. As far as DME I had one done through a performance shop but it was like 56 pages so I didn’t know what to look for 😂

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@heyitsderek the car was built in Los Angeles. I will have to contact the shop to see what parts are there still. But I am guessing no. Radio was from previous owner. So no on audio.

  • heyitsderek (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

Does it come with any of the stock parts that were taken off the car? the exhaust/cat, radio etc

@Kaizomike808 I had an 09 turbo 6 speed with similar mods but also 68mm turbos and 1000cc injectors with coilovers, pinned cams and welded pipes. Rolling on from 2nd through 4th gear was literally the fastest acceleration I have ever experienced. Sounds awesome with uncatted exhaust, for those of us with no exhaust testing. That motor is very robust. Those mods should not affect reliability. I had no issues with mine.

  • TKAD (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@kaizomike808 IMO, posting the receipts would be a great benefit to potential bidders. Same holds true for a current DME report, it will come up if it hasn't already. GLWTA

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@badboss correct it is a catless stainless Kline exhaust. Where the car is registered now, my county has no emissions.

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@TKAD I will have to check with the shop who installed to see if oem decklid is there. Harness should be in tact. All receipts for parts install service when I owned it available

  • Kaizomike808 (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

    @993David sorry they were not

  • 993David (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@seller were the coolant pipes welded and cam pinned? They often were with those mods

  • TKAD (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@seller factory decklid available and was the OEM wiring harness left in a condition to facilitate a "plug and play" operation of OEM decklid? Receipts for aftermarkets and completed servicing?

  • badboss (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

Is it safe to assume that the car will not pass emissions testing required to register the car? There are no cats now?
