Introduced for the 2007 model year, the 997-generation Porsche 911 Turbo debuted with a venerable Mezger flat-six engine and new Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers. Featuring a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, this inaugural-year example is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over a black full leather interior. It features optional painted front air intakes, heated front seats, the Carbon Package, the Sport Chrono Package, and some tasteful modifications. Acquired by the seller in 2012 at approximately 25k miles, this Turbo is now being offered for auction out of California with less than 34k miles showing on the odometer.
This example is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic with an optional rear window wiper and painted front air intakes. Modifications include a carbon fiber front splitter, painted GT2-style side skirts, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, and BC Racing forged 19″ wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2019 reported to have ample tread remaining. The seller notes that all panels, except for the rear left and right sides as well as the engine lid, are protected by XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film, while the windshield is covered with ClearPlex film. Minor road wear is indicated, including a small imperfection to the left of the license plate and a few light marks on the hood. The cabin presents Black full leather upholstery complemented by the optional Carbon Package and interior-colored floor mats. Additional options include heated front seats, Porsche-crested headrests, a remote 6-disc CD changer, illuminated stainless steel door entry guards, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial. The factory steering wheel has been modified with a flat bottom and thicker leather. Slight wear is noted on the seat bolsters and door sills. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be in proper working order.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine, the 997 Turbo sends up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in under 4 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 190 MPH. The optional Sport Chrono Package enables temporary overboost of up to 10 seconds for an increased peak torque rated at 505 lb.-ft. The seller adds that GMG Racing springs and a Europipe exhaust have been fitted, while the original exhaust will accompany the sale.
