Featuring a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine, this 2007 Porsche 997 turbo Coupe is finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a Black full leather interior. At an original sticker price of over $134k, it came factory equipped with an optional rear axle differential lock, painted front air intakes, a painted rear center console, heated front seats, Porsche-crested headrests, illuminated door sill guards in stainless steel, and deviated red stitching throughout the cabin. It was previously owned as part of a collection and is said to have been thoroughly inspected by two Porsche specialists before the seller’s purchase in 2023. Showing approximately 31k miles on the odometer, this 997 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The 997 Turbo features unique bodywork compared to a contemporary Carrera model including wider fenders with integrated side air intakes, a revised front bumper with larger radiator grilles, a lower rear bumper vents, and a speed-activated rear wing. This example is finished in Slate Grey Metallic with optional painted front air intakes and rides on factory 19” 911 Turbo wheels dressed in new tires. Other equipment includes fog lights, an electric sunroof, dual exhaust outlets, red brake calipers, and bi-xenon headlights. The seller notes that clear paint protection film is applied over the hood and two very small paint chips are present. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this Turbo features Black full leather upholstery with a matching Alcantara headliner and optional deviated red stitching throughout. Other options include heated seats with Porsche-crested headrests, a painted rear center console, illuminated door sill guards in stainless steel, a thicker leather steering wheel, a remote 6-disc CD changer, and black carpet floor mats. The car also comes standard with power-operated seats, driver position memory, automatic climate control, cruise control, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and a Bose sound system.
Rated at 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque, a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional rear axle differential lock. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 4 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and cross-drilled 350mm disc brakes paired with fixed 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The seller indicates the car was thoroughly inspected before their purchase in 2023 and there are no outstanding maintenance items.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a battery charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is in absolutely incredible condition and has lived happily in my temperature-controlled garage down in South Florida. Coming from a family of car collectors, it was thoroughly vetted by two Porsche specialists located in Long Island and given a pristine bill of health prior to my purchase. After a couple of months with this insane machine, I realized the practicality of owning it was not there for me and another SUV is what I need. I am devastated to sell it but excited for the next owner to enjoy this car as much as I did during my brief period of time with it. Good luck!”

The average speed is under 30mph over its life time. If tracked it wasn’t tracked much. As for the DME, some people can’t drive a stick😂😂

@VOKS7780 sadly, I don’t have them
@KayaknFly thanks a lot for the comment man, I really appreciate that.
Beautiful car!
Love the red deviated stitch. Rare to find the deviated stitching. Whoever gets this car will love it.
As for the DME overrevs…. People are way overreacting.
If you use the math from the link someone posted below… and look at range 6 overrevs. The time is .02888 seconds for range 6. When someone actually miss shifts a downshift and truly over revs these cars there’s a whole heck of a lot more in range 3-6 then this car shows. There’s a flywheel sensor that measures revolutions. It’s not always accurate and I’ve seen impossible values, such as 1 rev in every range.
I’d have no problem bidding for this car.
Good luck with the auction. I hope this brings in what it should! (Which if your reserve is set properly is outside my budget or id try bidding)!
Do you have any of the previous maintenance records in hand? I understand CarFax indicates as such however, would love to see some of the actual records.
Dream spec for me! Unfortunately it does not match my wallet....and I'm not prepared to sell my Dinan E39 M5 yet to pursue this car. Ugh! Best of luck to the seller and new owner! Beautiful car!

Porsche guides lines as far as I know like to have 50 hrs on the engine after the last event to deem engine safe regarding the last event. If you do the math its looks like this happen prior to the current ownership. 300 miles is around 8-12 hrs on the engine. Would love to bid on this car but DME is holding me back...engine overhaul is expensive these days
@DATGTS thanks for the info. Maybe a wrong memory on my part, I’m no mechanic. My mother is an avid car collector and works exclusively with these gentleman on Long Island who really only deal with Porsches. Shes had 5 or 6 and trusts these guys, completely. The car was passed with flying colors according to these gentleman and all I can do is trust them. It’s been an absolute pleasure to drive, just not practical for me at the moment.
It shows 13 Range 6's and the last s 1011 hours. The car has 1036 hours total. How does he come up with one. 5 and 6 are from downshifting too early and hitting the over rev. The 1047 Range 1's are from up shifting and hitting the limiter.
Here is a great article explaining how they work:

@DATGTS If you’d like, I’m happy to try and get you in touch with the guys on Long Island who worked up the car for me?
@DATGTS the DME has one over rev according to the two Porsche specialists that went through the car head to toe. They were not concerned in the slightest.
That DME is rough. Those were all done recently too.

@VOKS7780 hey there. Unfortunately I do not have information regarding this. I will contact the shop that did the DME report on Monday when they open and see if they have record or not.
@Today yes, the DME was performed on September 15th as per my records!
Bid in the amount of $37,997
Do you have any information about the coolant pipes & camshaft have been pinned? I understand it's not a requirement unless someone will be tracking the car however, for me it's a peace of mind kind of a thing. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your quick response
Can you tell the date of the DME report.
@Today 300 miles under current ownership. Car hasn’t been tracked to my knowledge. Tried taking undercarriage photos but not having much luck getting quality photos.
How many miles under current ownership? Has the car been tracked?
Looking for some undercarriage photos!
Thank you

@risatodd no worries, I’ve only owned the car six months and it’s been nothing but a pleasure. Sadly, just not practical for me at the moment. I will try to get a copy of the 30k service. Again, was done before I purchased and I never saw it myself but didn’t care because the care was spectacular. Will do my best

@jtkimmelman Sorry I just did not see the plug change. This costs 500 on my 4S but 1200 on the turbo and would be a major pain given the turbos. Can you post the 30k service and what was done. Sorry about the comment, it just seemed like a weird history and with engine cleaning in the service hx, I was wonder if there was an electric fire. This is one of my favorite colors and spent a year looking for one with a manual and not a PDK 10 years ago. Happy with my 4S but have some room in my garage. Great car.
@rbrunson hey there. I am working on getting the DME report. Full 30,000 mile service was done in September
@risatodd hey. That was before my ownership so I don’t have too much to say about that but the car runs superbly well, drives great and has never been an issue for me
Please provide DME report and was a complete 30,000 mile service completed?
Engine wiring harness and starter being replaced seems weird but original spark plugs?? I thought was every 4 years or 25k miles.
@Manos411 hey there. I’ll get photos of the bolsters for you. There are a few light scuffs on the door sill that were present when I bought the car, just shoes rubbing over the rubberized door sill. No scratches on the lower valences and no paint work done to the car
@Today will work on getting some photos of the undercarriage of the car
@Today hey there. Tires are all new, replaced in September, driven about 300 miles since. I don’t have that information regarding rotors/brakes
Any body or paint work on the vehicle? Mileage on tires brakes and rotors?
Any undercarriage photos?
Thank you
Looks beautiful! Can you please provide a photo or two of the driver seat side bolsters? In photo 67 are those scuffs on the door sill? Any scratches on the lower valence of the front bumper corners? Thank you and GLWA
