Finished in Atlas Grey Metallic over a Brown Natural Leather interior, this launch-year Porsche 997 Turbo Coupe features a 6-speed manual transmission and optional limited-slip differential connecting the driver to a twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine. Other features include the optional Sport Chrono Package and an exclusive rear center console in leather. The car reportedly spent time in a private collection before it was sold from a Porsche dealership and later acquired by the current owner. Recently serviced and with under 3k miles on the odometer, this very well-preserved 997 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Colorado.
The wide Turbo-specific bodywork comes finished in Atlas Grey Metallic and includes air intakes in the rear fenders as well as an automatically deploying rear spoiler wing. Red brake calipers are tucked behind factory 19” 911 Turbo wheels fitted with colored Porsche crest center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S from 2020. The passenger-side rear quarter panel is believed to have been previously refinished, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The premium Brown Natural Leather upholstery is complemented by a dark Alcantara headliner and factory exclusive rear center console in leather. A stopwatch dial is included on the dashboard as part of the Sport Chrono Package and other features include automatic climate control, a 6-disc CD changer, and an upgraded Pioneer touchscreen head unit. The original Porsche Communication Management (PCM) head unit is said to accompany the sale as well.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six Mezger engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission sending up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels. An optional limited-slip differential is equipped as well as the Sport Chrono Package which enables a variable Sport setting for more aggressive performance. The CARFAX report shows service by Checkered Flag Porsche of Virginia Beach in 2020 as well as replacement of the mass airflow sensor by German Performance Options of Nashville that same year. The seller states all other required maintenance has been kept up to date.
This sale will include a clean title.

Seller can you post some photos underneath including under each suspension corner? Also, maybe a copy of the two invoices for work? Thanks
@TubeGuy How do you do anVIN search to find the BAT auction or other information on history? Thanks
This would sure be a difficult car to part with! Beauty
You gotta love the final comment from the BAT auction that was tossed at the seller that this owner bought it from. If it's been properly prepared, hell yea. The color is so DARK. Almost what you would expect Basalt black to look like. Love it from inside to out. Good for you, seller. Probably make some money.
@Grun_356 yes. It’s being filmed today.
@BlueChip @bisonracing1 do you plan to post any videos of the car? Cold start video would be helpful. Thank you.

i'll should have also added that I badly regret not purchasing the car at that time (obviously)... amazing how much the world has changed in 2 years
I purchased the car from BaT on 10/1/20 and am selling it to just thin my collection a bit. I purchased it from a dealer on BaT, who bought the car from a Porsche dealer.
Here are the facts on the rear quarter panel, as I learned through BaT when I acquired it:
- The car was not in an accident. A collector had a trickle charger fall on it and was subsequently repaired. The work was then redone and the original incident was very minor.
No fraud intended; it’s an excellent car. I’m happy to host any serious buyer who would like to have it inspected.
@NA2 interesting. Thanks for the reply. Hopefully seller will provide more information.
@Grun_356 I believe the original owner said the car was on the lower position of a garage lift and a battery tender fell down onto the rear quarter but I have no way to verify that.
@NA2 when you looked at this car 2 years ago on Craigslist, could you determine the cause of damage?
About 2 years ago this car was listed on NJ Craigslist by it's original owner for about $80k IIRC. I passed on it because of the poorly repaired damage. From what I can gather the damaged area has since been professionally refurbished.
This car changed hands many more times than what the Carfax shows. After it left the first owner in NJ it went to Allthingsporsches. Then it was sold to someone who ended up trading it in to the Porsche dealer when the rear quarter repair was discovered. Then it was sold to someone and later ended up for sale again on Bring a Trailer. A simple VIN search shows most of this info.
Good morning. Lots of questions and requests - Can we please get paint meter readings, DME report, undercarriage pics, details on why the quarter panel had to be refinished, options list (or preferably window sticker), starting and/or driving video? Thanks in advance.
