Now available is this 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo Coupe finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a Brown Natural Leather interior. Featuring a twin-turbocharged Mezger engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, this 997 Turbo is also equipped with optional supple leather seats, painted rocker panels, Porsche crested headrests, illuminated door entry guards in stainless steel, and the Sport Chrono Package.  It was acquired by the seller earlier in 2021 and has since been completely refinished, upgraded with Bilstein coilovers, and treated to a major 60k-mile service. It also features a Fabspeed exhaust system, GT2 RS intercoolers, and an integrated K40 radar detector system. Showing approximately 62k miles on the odometer, this 997 Turbo is now being offered by its seller out of Florida.

This 997 comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic with optional painted rocker panels.  Upon acquiring the car, the seller opted to have the exterior completely refinished in its factory color as the original paint was faded from sun exposure. The headlight lenses are faded and the taillights have been upgraded to 997.2-style LED units. Additional photos are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage to have occurred in July of 2021. The factory 19” 911 Turbo wheels come dressed in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted within the last 500 miles.

Inside, this Turbo features a sumptuous Brown Natural Leather interior with supple leather seats, Porsche Crested headrests, and illuminated door entry guards in stainless steel.  Other options include the Sport Chrono Package and Parking Assist System. An integrated K40 radar detector system is equipped and the seller notes signs of wear throughout the cabin including scratches around the ignition bezel and damage to the PCM display.

Power comes from a 3.6L flat-six Mezger engine with twin Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers, producing an output of up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque stock.  All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission providing a 0-60 time of approximately 3.5 seconds and a top speed over 190 MPH. The Sport Chrono Package Turbo enables a period of overboost for up to ten seconds in order to increase peak torque over a specific RPM range. This example comes equipped with a host of high-end performance upgrades including a full Fabspeed exhaust with headers and high flow catalytic converters, GT2 RS intercoolers, and Bilstein PSS10 coilovers with new strut mounts. The seller states over 100 pages of maintenance records will accompany the sale and that a major 60k-mile service was recently completed including new spark plugs, coils, fluids, and filters.

This sale will include a clean title (lien). Well-equipped and thoroughly serviced, this 6-speed 2007 example may very well be the 997 Turbo you’ve been searching for.

@Imthedecidah How desperately did you want that Cayenne Turbo? Just curious how far were you willing to go? I looked carfax and edmunds, they all were suggesting price of that cayenne (based on recent sales) is worth like low 40s or even 30s. Again we are here bidding to buy from private sellers so both can have better deal then buying from dealer commissions.

    Hey guys,

Unfortunately auction ends today. A lot of questions have already been answered if you simply scroll down below. But here I’ll answer them again. There was no accident, it was minor damaged a lady backed into the car and bumper was replaced. I re painted the car because it sat outside for a bit in the Florida sun. Car was serviced about 2 months ago. Full 60k mike service although that service was already done at 55k miles, and I went ahead and did it again. Suspension is stamped as 1/20 that’s probably when it was made, it was installed a couple months ago. Also nothing wrong with the calipers, one just needs paint. Clutch to my knowledge and reviewing the maintenance records it is the original one, and it is fine or my service center would have told me I need a new one. Coolant lines are not pinned to my knowledge and according to maintenance records. There’s 000 issues. Turn key, let it warm up, and drive. If you want DME report, pictures of recent service, or undercarriage photos, simply private message me your phone number and I will text them to you.

  • Hotride (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

In video, the suspension coil is stamped as 01/2020, can you post the service invoices?

  • Hotride (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Was gonna bid, but with the lack of response, and lack of pictures... From the Carfax history and the current owner comments (provided and missing) it sounds like the car sat outside for many years untouched, hard to say what the condition of all the lines and parts are, being Florida, it would depend on how much salt air kissed the car... and unclear how l much more $$ needs to be spent on the interior..

Any thoughts contrary to this from anyone?

  • jtouzet (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Did the accident occur after the car was repainted, or before? Also, any chance of getting undercarriage photos before thisends today?
    Bueller??

  • Angelny911 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Seems like right rear caliper might be binding , its condition compared to other rotes will need replacing !

  • jsmithpga (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Do you know what the minor damage was in July 2021 and have the coolant lines been replaced by chance ?

  • rootsmonz 2 years, 11 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $40,000

  • Rednine2028 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Getting a PPI could be the difference between someone bidding on this car and someone passing on this car. A PPI could also bring thousands of dollars more for the seller if it shows the engine was cared for better than the rest of the car. Please do not take offense to this comment as I know the damage occurred prior to your ownership. The concern I have (as I'm sure everyone has that is planning on bidding) is getting an awesome deal on a Turbo today and having a headache in a few thousand miles from now...... The hundreds of dollars for a PPI could yield thousands of dollars more for the seller.

  • jtouzet (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Can you provide some photos of the undercarriage (underside of the engine, exhaust, & axles)?

  • GTfour (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

A couple of questions, please. What is the condition of the clutch? When was it last replaced or serviced? Secondly, has the plastic coolant pipes been replaced. They are prone to epoxy failure.

Apologies if these have been answered or if I missed your response.

  • GTfour (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Restaurantman agree. I know I would feel a lot more comfortable with bidding if you could share a PPI.

  • Restaurantman (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

This could be a great daily, I’m interested…but…
Would you be willing to do a PPI at your local Porsche dealer and post it? It would be worth the money to do so. Just to many questions for a buyer like me in northeast.

  • juliogomez (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Everyone. This Turbo is not perfect (has minor scratches on the interior by where the key fob is, pcm screen got a little toasted due to sun. Car has been re-sprayed to OE Slate Grey.. why? Because my Godfather got old and couldn't drive the car anymore and just let it sit outside without a cover here in Florida. So I saved up the money bought it from him. Did a 60k mile service to it even though the 60k mile service had already been done already, I did another one regardless, put on new tires, new suspension (Bilstein b-16 PSS10). Repainted the car. New weather stripping all over (old was cracked due to sun). This car mechanically is 11/10 I have driven it a lot since he sold it to me 5 months ago. It spent 2.5 months in the shop between servicing and paint, and as soon as I got it back I have driven it and have enjoyed every minute. interior is 7/10 (like I mentioned above, the car has been sat in, driven, been in the sun.) IF YOU WANT A CAR YOU CAN DRIVE AND TURN HEADS AND HAVE A LOT OF FUN WITH AND IS RELIABLE, THIS IS IT!!! IF you want a perfect car that just sits in your garage so you can stare at how perfect it is, it might not be for you. Today it hit 63k miles and will continue to climb until a new owner takes it.

  • juliogomez (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@LBinVA It was painted properly, by a Porsche referred shop. Lifetime warranty etc.

  • juliogomez (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@racecarrobbie No, I don't. I know it was minor according to my Godfather (the person I purchased the vehicle from)

  • PCA1983 2 years, 11 monthsago

This is the last of the Metzger engine 911 Turbos.
    Check out
    https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a18201571/2007-porsche-911-turbo-997-first-drive-review/
It is an awesome car at today's auction prices, with famous last Metzger engine reliability, the lightest weight modern 911 Turbo. The manual 6 speed guys should be all over this one.

Disclaimer: I'm in the North Suburban Orlando area and do not know the seller.

As a Porsche owner and aficionado since early 1970, I must say this should go down as a good deal for a desirable modern 911 Turbo.
I already have all the Porsches my garage can hold, including a 991.2 911 Turbo, or I would be interested.
Love the 6 speed manuals, but hate the latest 7 speed manuals in the 991 and 992 Carreras.
    Good Luck with this auction!

Do you have any details or photos on the damage from July 2021?

@Rednine2028 Jacks Paint & Collision Center (Bonita Springs, FL) is one of the options the local Porsche Dealer referred me to. Also, Lifetime Warranty. Most recent service will be uploaded

  • juliogomez (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@davisjrjr refinished and refinished properly with a life time warranty as well. driving videos, fly bys are being posted soon, cold start will be posted soon as well as a small tour of inside and outside showing suspension, spacers, exhaust, trunk etc.

At the end of the day this is a turbo for an affordable price, you won't find one anywhere else. at the price, and its been meticulously maintained. the only minor part is that it was re-sprayed due to clear coat failing, happens in Southwest Florida..

  • juliogomez (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Flyinace2000 Yes will be uploading a coldt start, along showing the center console per your request, showing all functions are working, its just the film over the lcd is toasted, The headlights are old and are hazing, im sure a nice polish will get them resolved. Previous owner mentioned he used to sand them with the 3m kit and it would be good for about 6-9 months.

  • Rednine2028 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Can you include the most recent service maintenance records (60k mile service)? Also, where was the car re-painted? Porsche approved shop?

  • davisjrjr (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

I know it’s been refinished, but can we see paint meter readings?
How about a driving video, or even a cold start / exhaust video w/ sound

  • palmerd27 2 years, 11 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $37,527

  • Flyinace2000 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Could we get a photo of the center console (including radio and heat/cool controls)? Also is it the lighting or are the headlamps fogging/clouding at different rates?
