Up for auction is a very distinct 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe. Equipped with the legendary Mezger engine, this 23k-mile example delivers a raw and sensory driving experience. The selling dealer acquired this car from the previous owner in California and states that the car is in excellent and unmodified stock condition.
With only 23k miles from new, there are no exterior flaws to be noted. The paint is confirmed to be original with exception of the hood which underwent a repair to correct some rock chips that were present. The seller notes that this car presents beautifully and is in like new condition. The original set of 19” Turbo wheels are in excellent condition with a set of new tires recently installed.
The Natural Brown Full Leather interior of this 997 nicely compliments the rare and desirable Atlas Gray paint. Supportive heated seats and full PCM with 6-disc changer give this car all of the creature comforts that can be expected of any modern-day sports car. The Turbo also features the desirable Sport Chrono package, sport shifter, heated seats, multifunction steering wheel, PCCB, rear wiper, and much more. The original build price exceeded $143k, making it safe to say that this is one of the most generously optioned 997 Turbo coupes currently offered on the market. A copy of the build sheet is shown in the gallery photos.
Power comes from a 3.8L twin turbocharged flat-six Mezger engine that delivers approximately 488 bhp and 457 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. This power plant is paired with a highly desirable six speed manual transmission and makes for a pure and visceral driving experience. This example is equipped with Porsche Carbon Ceramic brakes giving it tremendous stopping ability. The Carfax report indicates consistent maintenance performed throughout this car's life.
Originally developed for the 911 GT1 Le Mans car, the Mezger engine is regarded by many Porsche experts as the holy grail of water-cooled engines. Featuring a true dry sump and crank driven oil pumps, this engine resists oil surge in even the most aggressive cornering. Furthermore, this GT1 derived engine doesn’t suffer from IMS bearing related issues as its oil system ensures constant lubrication.

Agreed. PTM does the job without adding to the automated interference. .1’s will become known as the more driver focused 997 as time goes on, even though it’s kind of negligible to most drivers.
I think PTV was another step in the digitalization of the 997 series and therefore not necessarily a good thing. I'd rather have a car without this feature.
@SpeedJunky Thank you for clarifying. I realize now that you are correct. Apologies for the misinformation.
@mcotml.com This car does not have PTV. It has the locking rear diff (option 220) and PTM (Porsche Traction Management) which was standard on all 997.1 Turbos of this generation.
PTV (Porsche Torque Vectoring) was an option only on the 997.2 generation Turbos.
PTV, in addition to the regular PTM function, applies the brake to the inside rear wheel in a turn to help the car with turn in. Just wanted to clarify.

We requested the seller take some photos outside in natural light in order to display what this color looks like on a sunny day. Those photos have just been added to the listing. Good luck to all bidders as well as the seller.

@mcotml.com Beautiful car. Would it be possible to see a DME report before the end of the auction? Thank you.
@camel993 Yes, this car has PTV.
@Dakotaman Sorry for the delayed response. We have paperwork from the PPI. It was done by an independent European car specialist so I don't know if we have a DME report. We will submit all we have later today. We appreciate your interest in this awesome 911 Turbo!

Not that scary, just an error on our part. Thank you for pointing that out, we have corrected the ad.
I also noticed that. Scary!
The paint color per the build sheet is Atlas Grey Metallic, not Basalt Black as indicated in the ad.
