The second generation of Porsche’s roadgoing GT3 homologation car, the 997 version debuted with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), advanced “zero lift” aerodynamics, and a more powerful Mezger engine. Configured at an original MSRP of over $125k, this highly optioned example has been extensively modified with a 997.2 GT3 RS widebody kit including steel fenders, bumper covers, and lights. It also received a rebuilt engine with a 4.0-liter displacement upgrade by the specialists at BBI Autosport in September of 2023 as well as a GT3 RS 4.0 clutch kit, a Sharkwerks exhaust, and welded coolant lines. Finished in Carrara White over a Black Special Leather interior, this modified GT3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California with just over 40k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Carrara White, this GT3 has been upgraded with a complete 997.2 GT3 RS widebody kit including steel fenders, bumper covers, and 997.2 headlights and taillights. A carbon fiber rear wing has been fitted along with carbon fiber uprights trimmed in GT Silver. Black stripes with Porsche lettering are applied to each side. Red painted brake calipers are set behind polished aftermarket wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires driven approximately 2k miles. The seller adds that XPEL paint protection film covers the front end up to the windshield along with the leading portion of the roof, A-pillars, door sills, and rear fenders. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Black Special Leather upholstery contrasted by Exclusive red deviated stitching along the dashboard, doors, door handles, center console side panels, rear side panels, and seats. It also features optional Guards Red seatbelts, instrument dials, and floor mat trim. Additional options include the Carbon Interior Package, a Carbon Package Switch Panel, a rear center console in carbon, Porsche-crested headrests, a storage compartment lid with a model logo, heated front seats, the Chrono Package, Sound Package Plus, and a fire extinguisher.
The original 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine was rebuilt and upgraded by Betim, CEO of BBI Autosport, in September of 2023 to a 4.0-liter displacement and paired with a GT3 RS 4.0 clutch kit and lightened flywheel. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission which was fully rebuilt by the Porsche specialists True Performance in January 2022. Additional upgrades included the installation of a Sharkwerks GT3 stainless steel exhaust system and welded coolant pipes. The seller adds that an alignment was performed as part of the engine rebuild followed by the replacement of the brake rotors. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

@speed5racer no offense but anyone who has driven a car like this knows that an F430 does't even compare. That is why a real RS is $300k plus and a real 4.0 RS will soon be $1m. I would take this car hands down, PS the bidding is not stopping at this price I am very certain of that. Good luck to the seller and future buyer.

Correct no 997.2 RS flares.
What front fenders were used? Are they GT3 or RS parts? Factory or aftermarket? They don't have the flares that the 997.2 RS fenders do.
I have always wanted the 3rs 4.0L. But 400k was out of the budget. I remember when I first purchased it, wounding why it wasn’t just built to a 4.0. So after about a year of ownership I decided I really wanted it that way I envisioned it.
What prompted the rebuild to a 4.0L? It looks like the engine was previously rebuilt to a 3.8L, but it only lasted ~14k miles?

The car has about 100 miles on it since the rebuild. Recommends 500 mile break in.
No spacers. The fitment looks normal. I will add some personal pictures of the car from fitment angle. There is about a 4 inch lip on the wheels. That’s why I chose those wheels. So I would not have to run spacers.

Has the car been driven at all since the engine rebuild since you’ve been in Hawaii for 6 months now and it was done in October and how many miles is the break in procedure ?
Also for the rear wheels since it has the gt3 suspension what spacers are you running on those wheels on the car ? I assume without spacers even with widebody wheels the wheels would be sunk in tremendously ?
Does the car have a harmonic dampener for the 4.0 rs clutch and lwfw setup?

I just noticed the 1 year or 10,000 mile warranty on the 4.0L was not mentioned on the description. 1 year starting October 16, 2023 ending October 16, 2024

@ZubinK it does have a 4.0 L crankshaft. Sorry for the confusion. The decals are on top.
In the build sheet you posted it lists 4.0L crankshaft but in one of your answers a few days ago before you posted the build sheet you say 3.8L crankshaft. Does it have the 4.0L crankshaft per the build sheet or 3.8 ?
Is the Porsche side decal applied over or under the PPF ?

@997GT3 the work was performed a couple months before I purchased a vehicle. I’m in contact with the previous owner now to get all the details. Sorry for the inconvenience with not 100% of all the information. Like I mentioned before I live in Hawaii, and the car is in California.
Any details on the coilovers? I assumed it was still on the stock PASM set up.

Just confirming the write-up, is the reference to RS “steel fenders” stating that the narrow GT3 rear fenders were cut out and wider RS rear fenders were welded in?

Is it possible to post the full build sheet from BBi? Does the build include the full monty treatment including cam actuator fix and welded coolant lines?
@awesomekaptain I was working on the engine build about 6 months ago when I relocated to Hawaii for work. Unfortunately, the car does not make sense here in Hawaii. The car is in California at my house.
