The second generation of Porsche’s roadgoing GT3 homologation car, the 997 version debuted with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), advanced “zero lift” aerodynamics, and a new 3.6-liter Mezger engine producing over 400 HP. One of less than a thousand units reportedly sold in North America, this Porsche 997.1 GT3 comes finished in Black over a Dark Grey Natural leather interior and features the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, painted wheels and caps, a painted rear center console, carbon door sills, the Chrono Package, and Sound Package Plus. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts showing just under 14k miles on the odometer.
This GT3 is finished in nonmetallic Black and features a GT3-specific front and rear fascia as well as a fixed rear wing that contributes to the car's “zero lift” aerodynamics. Optional equipment includes the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, a model designation deletion, and paint-matched 19” GT3 wheels and caps. It rides on Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2016. The seller notes minor paint imperfections include light scratches on the mirror caps and very slight paint swirls. The front spoiler has been replaced due to minor scuffs and front-end paint protection film has been applied. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in Dark Grey Natural leather upholstery. Optional equipment includes the Sound Package Plus, a Black-finished rear center console, and carbon door sills with model insignias. Factory features include optional self-dimming mirrors and an integrated rain sensor, automatic climate control, and a power tilt/slide sunroof. The seller notes minor scuffing on the plastic trim near the driver’s side boot opener and minor seat creasing.
The 997 GT3 generates as much as 415 HP and 300 lb.-ft of torque from a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter Mezger engine. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds to a top speed of 190 MPH. Standard performance features include a locking rear differential, traction control, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and vented disc brakes paired with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear clippers. The Chrono Package was also opted for. The seller has provided a host of maintenance records dating back to 2018, including oil and filter changes, brake fluid changes, and a hood strut replacement. Additionally, a DME report carried out by an authorized dealer reveals zero over-revs in any range, as shown in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title, owner's manuals, and a window sticker
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting this auction. This GT3 has spent the majority of its life in California and Florida, climate-controlled garage kept. The tires are in great condition. The vehicle is stock aside from an upgraded front axle lift system. An incredible piece of machinery looking for a new home. Good luck to all the bidders!”

@gpmotors Stock exhaust not included. The sport exhaust from factory sounds amazing though!
stock exhaust included in sale?
@Wookiee There are no scratches on the front bumper. On the front there is 3M film for protection, which may be what you see in the images.
@gt3rsfan Pioneer head unit has pretty quick responsiveness. Functions include navigation, bluetooth audio/phone, SD card and USB slot for music, SiriusXM, and rearview camera. No original unit.
Is the bottom of front bumper scratched, above the new front spoiler?
any commentary on the after market Pioneer head unit (is the original included?). what functionality does the head unit add?
@Bodacious3232 There are no sticky surfaces or buttons within the interior of the GT3. No discoloration on any of the gauges.
Any sticky knobs or buttons? Any discoloration on the temp or fan switches?
lol
@haripin No, this will not sell for $118k lol
Wow. This will go for $118k? Looks like the market continues to come down for these. Beautiful car tho. But back to reality.
Very nice car. Black is the best color for these IMO, especially with the gloss black center console, matching wheeels, and full leather.
I will be here until the auction ends to answer any questions for this beautiful GT3.

I've owned a few 997 GT3s and an RS, never had any coolant lines pinned (or welded) however I did not track my cars. The were all daily drivers and to be honest, they were the best Porsches I've ever owned. In all honesty, I bought a GT4 during ownership of my 2nd GT3 - drove it 40 miles, sold it and hung onto the GT3 before moving onto the RS. Currently in a 991. Buy, own and keep your 997 GT cars, they are such a treat to drive and they are damn near bullet proof! GLWA
I owned this car and cared for it over the last 3.5 years. I bought it from Stu and chose to sell it back to him when I was ready since my experience with Copley was phenomenal. I have no affiliation, just a happy customer. This Gt3 is near flawless, cosmetically and mechanically. I paint metered it myself fully after buying it and every panel presented as original. I drove it maybe 2000 miles, never tracked under my ownership, and Porsche dealership serviced with an open checkbook. It needs nothing in my view. I kept it stored in my climate controlled garage. Although I loved this car, I chose to sell as I bought a few 90’s defenders (on that other auction sight) so I can haul the kids around and have fun, and am out of room. I hope to rebuy this exact same year but a green or orange Gt3 rs, so was able to let this go in my mind, but it wasn’t easy. I also still have my 993 C4s in silver that I will enjoy in the meantime.

@jcdeng It has the Cargraphic Airlift Evolution front end lift kit. Unsure about the coolant lines. Paint is consistent throughout the body.
Uploaded photos of the paint meter readings as well as the DME report.
Bid in the amount of $20,000
what aftermarket front lift system does it have? and are the coolant lines pinned/welded? paint meter reading available?
Sorry if I missed it but I don't see any DME report in the picture gallery?
Looks like a lucky no sale a few years ago for the seller. Should do much better this week.
