@el_g_37 see previous message since for some reason it didn’t tag you
Quick review of the car: Engine runs properly with no check engine codes, all fluids are up to specification. Manual transmission and clutch actuation feel great. No noises or concerns with the driveline. No clunkiness. No noticeable leaks. The car drives great.
Brakes work great and don't make any noise. Rotors are in good order and pads are all around 7-8mm (plenty of life left). Tires are from 2013-2014 and measure around 3-4mm in tread so you will be due for new tires soon.
Interior in good condition. AC and Heat work great - no strange smells. Passenger side illuminated door sill has one led bulb out. Door sills and seats and show normal signs of use for the mileage.
@el_g_37 Convertible top shows signs of use/stretching. Top is in working order with no issues in actuating.
Paint is in overall good condition. There are rock chips, but the car shows no signs of major damage in the past (as is evidenced by the accident-free carfax report). There are minor scratches on the underside of the front lip.
My take on this car as a professional driving instructor. It's a light and nimble joy of a car to drive. It's quick enough to be fun but not overbearing, which makes rowing through the gears all the more fun. The sound is tremendous for a 6 cylinder, and even better yet since it's a convertible. Throttle response is fantastic in sport mode. What really makes it special though are the details. Opening the door and seeing the rare illuminated carrera s sign. The classy black on terracota accented by the black paint seats and center console, all sporting Porsche crests. And finally, the rare carbon fiber accents throughout, especially on the stick shift, make you feel that this isn't any regular C2S cab. This one is optioned the way all Porsches should be.
@JakeMacZ the forged wheels come with the car, no other sets
@Hockeybob5 hard to tell- possibly. Watch the full walkaround video to see closeups towards the end and get a better idea.
@whatupgus we have tons of car storage facilities in our area which we work with. We also can store privately for a small monthly fee depending on your needs. Happy to discuss further should you win the auction.
In the cold start video, almost at the end, you pan across the driver’s side C-pillar area of the convertible top. It’s hard to see, but it looks like the fabric has pulled away from the frame. Can you confirm, or am I seeing things? Beautiful car!

Are OEM wheels also included?
The small chips noted on the front and rear quarters; are those the white spots on Photo 21?
Good morning, are you able to store the car till spring?
@Bruno911 believe it or not, these cars are in fact serviceable with the IMS bearing! On another one of our 997 C2S 6-speed cabs down in Florida, we had TuneRS motorsports do the work for us. They have a direct oil feel kit which helps both lubricate and regulate temperatures in the stock IMS bearing, which are the two main causes of failure. It cost us $3k all in, and it was a decision of one of our clients out of an abundance of caution.
@richinwhb as user @bruno911 mentioned, it’s a very low failure rate on this year and model (believed to be around 1%). As such, Pcarmarket advised me to move forward with the auction instead of waiting to do an IMS service.
@Damaho912 original window sticker and service receipts added.
Believe it or not, I’ve had a clutch done on another one of our 997s as early as 30k miles despite the clutch having plenty of life. The reason was that due to other work already being done, there was no additional labor to replace the clutch. More value to the buyer knowing that the cars clutch will last for many years to come!

Hi all and thank you for your interest in our vehicle. I will do my best to answer any and all questions prior to the auction ending.
As an FYI - I am departing on a short flight right now and will not be able to reply until we land around 12 noon EST. Feel free to call us then (or preferably, submit questions here) if you have any pressing questions or concerns. The car is in great shape and certainly speaks for itself.

@richinwhb the imsb on this model year is not serviceable. Replacement requires complete engine tear down. No one does this since the service would cost almost as much as a rebuilt motor. Just drive and enjoy. Extremely low failure rate on this generation.
I know there is a lot of controversy regarding the IMS on the 997’s. Do you have information regarding this particular vehicle? Thank you.

Possible to post pics of maintenance receipts? Might benefit the cause as a 997 clutch, if properly driven, should last a good 100k miles. Replacing the brake rotors I get, but not the clutch. Appears the PO had no clue what they were doing, how to drive a stick. While you’re at it, perhaps posting the original window sticker too? Thanks in advance! I’m not a cab guy, but there’s something about this one. She’s a real beaut!

Pcarmarket has it described as a 3.6, should be a 3.8
