Presented in Cobalt Blue Metallic over a Stone Grey full leather interior, this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe is equipped with a 3.8-liter engine and 6-speed manual transmission. This example features the Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust System, and 19” Turbo wheels. Well-preserved for much of its life in California, this 997 was eventually brought to Massachusetts where it has been stored indoors and meticulously maintained by its second owner. It is now being offered for auction with just over 11k miles on the odometer.
This Coupe is finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic and can be distinguished as a Carrera S by its red-painted brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets. Optional 19” Turbo wheels come dressed in a Michelin Pilot Sport 4S installed at approximately 9k miles. The seller adds that a full ceramic coating has been applied along with paint protection film on the front bumper, headlights, hood, front fenders, roof, door cups, and side mirrors. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery, along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with optional Stone Grey full leather upholstery including Sport Seats, a thicker leather steering wheel, Stone Grey floor mats, self-dimming mirrors, and Sport Chrono Package Plus which adds a lap timer stopwatch to the center dashboard.
Rated at 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus and Sport Exhaust System are equipped to amplify the 997’s visceral driving characteristics. The seller adds that the IMS bearing was replaced in August of 2018, along with a more recent installation of Hawk HPS street-sport pads with stainless steel lines. Additional maintenance history is provided on the CARFAX report and the seller states there are no outstanding service items.
This sale will include a clean title.

@jsheldon48 Thanks! I kind of think so myself.
She's a beauty! I'd expect another 10k+ on this one. If I hadn't just bought my first air-cooled, I'd be all over it.

@Bat777 - Yes, rims are factory, tires were replaced when I purchased the car and only have about 3K miles on them now.
@WilHehman - No. I am a huge cabin (silence) sound person. Drives me nuts. It's quiet. : )
Any interior rattles or nuisance sounds?

A couple people of asked about a further explanation on the IMS work, and about particles in the oil. This was a reply from the owner/mechanical worked on the car: Cleaning out the particles is part of our procedure when replacing the IMS. Its not recommended by the manufacturer but we go above and beyond. No issues with the engine whatsoever.
@Quackbury @Quackery. Morning. did you see my replies?
@Quackbury - yes, just replied
@rveneziano I just used the contact seller button again. Both messages should be in your inbox.
@Quackbury Sorry, I don't recall seeing it. I have received a lot of interest and thought I was on top of it all. My apologies. Can you try again now?
@rveneziano I sent you a PM and am disappointed I have not heard back. The weekend has come and gone but there may still be time before the auction ends?
@Fandawg it has not had any issues. And no a formal test has not been done. My Porsche mechanic said due to the low miles and condition of the car he would be shocked if there was any issues. That said if it’s a dealbreaker and you were the winning bid I’m happy to consider getting it done.
Quick question. Do you know if this car has any bore scoring issues? Was this ever checked? Thank you.
Got a 997.1 (05 Carrera S) with same options as this and loving it for the last 10 years. Still organic feel before P went to next Gen. A keeper. Someone needs to drive this more!
A couple of other items to look at on these: the coolant tank stock is plastic and near heat. Usually swapped out for metal. The positive cable from battery to terminal in the inside passenger compartment is prone to moisture right at the connector end, as it sits near a drain hole in the tray which through time gets clogged. The tell tale sign is a sluggish harder to start car...cold or hot. Eventually, no start. Just got mine replaced. Not saying this is that but FYI.
GLWA...agree, very nice color.

@MJROB - Sure thing, happy to show it. When works best for you?
@TyStav - Thanks, big fan of the color (took me 1 year to wait and find the right color / features combo). And no, none.
@rveneziano - any engine ticking or signs bore scoring issues that are "more" common with 997.1 3.8 engines? Great color and car!
@Ejdean67 This is a 997.1
997.1 or 997.2
Thank you
@whatupgus - And yes, certainly. The car is available to show.
@whatupgus Ah, the old IMS debate - to fix it, not to fix it, if so, how exactly to repair it to ensure no future IMS issue, etc. There is certainly lots of hype around this topic for sure. That said, it was recommend to me by a couple of trusted, local Porsche mechanics, due to the low miles especially, to consider getting it done. So in the spirit of being better safe than sorry, I had it replaced.
@WilHehman @WilHehman, Ha, funny, I thought the same thing before I saw this car and fell in love.
Bid in the amount of $39,997
I really thought that I was going to go 997.2 or 991.1, but this car checks all the boxes. Love that IMS, PPF, Ceramic Coating, etc all are complete.
Gorgeous car. I see their brothers here in Houston almost weekly. One is same color combo but automatic, the other has a black interior, 6 speed, sport exhaust , a few mods and blue seatbelts. GLWTS
Bid in the amount of $10,997
Beautiful car, I have a 2000 Ocean Blue with beige interior, love the BLUE
I've been looking for a while to move up to a 997
I'm curious why a 2007 had the IMS replaced
I'm a little less than 2 hours away, can the car be looked at in person?
Beautiful color...a nicely optioned California car with low miles and a manual transmission. Somebody is going to be a lucky buyer.
I live in massachsusetts and spend lot time in worcester is thuis car available to see in person please let me know.
Thanksk
@blackdogcars Welcome. I don't have any paint gauge photos. But I have not done any body work during my ownership and I bought this car from one of the most reputable Porsche shops in the NYC area. So if needed, I can reach out to them and see if they would also confirm that when they purchased the car no body work was done. I was told no body / paint work was done upon me taking delivery.
@rveneziano - Thanks for your timely reply. Has the car had any paintwork during your care or its time prior in California? If you're able to upload paint gauge photos, that will help with the sale. I'm aware there is PPF on certain panels.
Bid in the amount of $10,000

@blackdogcars @blackdogcars. Thanks and agreed - great / rare color! IMS was done at Katchel Motor Company in Lawrence MA. Once the best shops in the Northeast for this type of job. Will upload the paperwork on the IMS work shortly. The DME report was done a few weeks ago at EuroTech Motorsports in Natick. I am sure Farley would be happy to verify it's recency and authenticity. Undercarriage shot and walk around video is being shot tomorrow when the rain stops here. : ) Yes, title is free and clear.
@rveneziano - Stunning car! One of the best colors. I expect sharing a few more things will help with the sale. Paint gauge photos. Undercarriage photos. A driving video. Providing photos of service history on the IMS (who did it, what parts were used). When was the DME report from (recently or when you acquired car)? These are things that caught my eye, I'm sure others will be curious on these things as well. Also, is there still a lien on the vehicle or is title free and clear? Thanks and GLWS!
Thanks for viewing my listing. I'd be more than happy to help answer any of your questions on this meticulously maintained 997.1....which btw has been garaged and never seen road salt it's entire life. I am looking forward to finding it's next home, where it can be equally enjoyed by another enthusiast!
