Up for auction is this 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S in need of mechanical attention. This 1-owner example highlights a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, extensive factory options, and an intuitive all-wheel drive system. Additionally, the 997’s have become more in demand due to their design, reliability, and driving characteristics. Purchased new from Manhattan Motor Cars, this Carrera has remained local ever since and is showing 51k miles on the odometer.
The seller states the Arctic Silver paint to be in excellent condition with only a few chips present. The black convertible top is also stated to be free of any blemishes and stand in excellent condition. Bespoke to the C4S model, the rear fenders are significantly flared, giving the car a more sporty nature. Currently installed are a set of 19" Carrera sport wheels with colored Porsche crests that wear Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
The black leather interior is stated to be in excellent condition showing minimal wear. The optional heated and powered leather seats are crisp, reminiscent of a new vehicle. Nicely spec’d when ordered new, this Carrera had an original MSRP of over $108k and included: Sport Chrono package, Navigation, Gear and handbrake finished in aluminum, leather steering wheel, and Bose high-end sound package. A full list of options is found on the build sheet build sheet in the gallery photos. All electronics work as they should.
Power is delivered by a 3.8L flat-six engine that produces 355HP when new and is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. This Carrera 4S provides an intuitive all-wheel drive system that makes for increased handling capabilities. The seller disclosed that he had the car taken to a shop due to a loud ticking noise from the motor. The shop informed him that the car does start, run, drive, and is running on all 6 cylinders, however, disassembly of the engine would be necessary to diagnose the issue further. A video of the vehicle at idle is shown below.
The sale of this vehicle will include a Carfax report, two factory keys, and original manual set.

Plus commission. Plus shipping. Plus the other unknowns. Sentimental value. Really?
The car has sentimental value and feel free to use my mechanic to confirm that the car will be better than a 2006 engine when fixed for 15 K. It’s a great deal if you can get a used engine or another mechanic to do this 14 K.
thanks for your interest

I currently have an option to completely replace engine for under 15k. The car is iin excellent condition. This is a great deal for someone who has access to a good deal on an engine. Car is currently with mechanic who specializes in engine work if anyone needs to speak with him.

My mechanic is in huntington
Would you be open to an inspection?
I think selling this car with unknown issues will significantly affect the price. I suggest have it properly diag by a refutable dealer.
