Paying homage to Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson’s record-setting victory at the 1955 Mille Miglia behind the wheel of a 300 SLR race car, the SLR McLaren “722 Edition” refers to the team’s iconic racing number of 722 (indicating a start time of 7:22 am). Limited to only 150 examples worldwide, the exclusive 722 Edition carries a modified version of the SLR’s supercharged V8 engine generating over 640 HP along with stiffer and lower suspension, larger carbon-ceramic brakes, improved aerodynamics, and unique wheels. The car sports Crystal Antimon Grey Metallic paint over a black leather and Alcantara interior featuring carbon-fiber trim and red accents. This 2007 example is one of only 25 believed to have been imported to North America and was sold new through Mercedes-Benz of South Bay, California. The car was maintained by the original selling dealership up until 2015 before moving to Washington and eventually Florida where it is now being offered for auction showing just over 3,500 miles on the odometer.
Designed by Gordan Murray, the bodywork of the SLR is constructed from lightweight carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and assembled at the McLaren Technology Centre in Surrey, England. The 722 Edition features unique Crystal Antimon Grey Metallic paintwork complemented by special dark-tinted headlamps and taillights as well as a carbon fiber front spoiler and rear diffuser. Other features include 722 badging on the front fenders and unique black-painted 19” alloy multi-spoke wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cockpit is trimmed in Black/Anthracite leather and Alcantara accented by red stitching and carbon fiber inlays. The supportive carbon-fiber bucket seats are power-adjustable and come paired with red safety belts. Other features include automatic climate control, a sound system, and a three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters and infotainment controls.
For the 722 Edition, the output of the SLR’s supercharged 5.4L V8 engine was increased from 617 HP to 641 HP, along with an additional 30 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed AMG Speedshift R automatic transmission while stopping power is handled by larger carbon-ceramic brakes. The 722 Edition also receives stiffer dampers and a 10mm lower ride height for improved handling. The top speed is increased to 209 MPH and acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in just 3.6 seconds, two-tenths of a second quicker than the standard SLR. The car had been maintained by the Mercedes-Benz of South Bay in California up until 2015, followed by Mercedes-Benz of Seattle in Washington up until 2019. The most recent service was completed by Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables, Florida in June of 2021. A printed log of the vehicle's maintenance history can be found in the gallery, showing Mercedes-Benz services A-J.
This sale will include a service log and a clean title. An exceedingly rare collector’s item, the SLR McLaren 722 Edition is one of the most exclusive grand-touring supercars ever produced. Do not miss your chance to become the next owner of this stunning 2007 example.

@Porsche0412 Agreed
@GTSECDrew I have 3 SLR's and love that these are now being appreciated. Just curious as to people's thoughts on the 722 vs standard
@tallingmatt no there’s 150 coupes and roadsters I believe , not 300

@Porsche0412 get back in the game! you'll not find another
@allthingsporsches I was referring to the 300 coupe and roadsters combined, worldwide
@tallingmatt to be honestly i think both standard SLR and 722 are undervalued
Bid in the amount of $895,000
@tallingmatt clearly a novice or trying to bag an auction. will be a $2m car
Only 150 of these not 300 , and only 25 for Us of coupes and convertibles
@GTSECDrew Glad to see people are coming around on the SLR but can someone explain why a standard SLR is less than half the price of this with different headlight housing, wheels and a stiffer suspension. I understand the limited nature but there are only 2157 SLR's overall and less than 500 roadsters so 300 units overall on 722's are not a huge deal
