Up for auction is this 2007 Mercedes-Benz C219 CLS 550 finished in Arctic White over a Cashmere Beige leather interior. Based on Mercedes’ E-Class, the CLS is a luxurious four-door four-seater saloon with a unique fastback body style. Carrying a 5.5L V8 engine paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission, this 2007 example offers an abundance of standard amenities as well as the optional Premium II Package which was configured at an additional cost of $4,740. This CLS is reported to have been sold new to the author Clifford B. Hicks and remained under the care of his family for the next three owners up until the seller’s purchase in 2016. It is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Illinois while showing just over 17k miles on the odometer*.
This CLS is finished in Arctic White and the seller notes that the previously installed paint protection film was removed from the vehicle upon their purchase. A few cosmetic imperfections have been reported throughout the exterior as detailed in the photo gallery. The CLS combines the sloping roofline of a coupe with the body of a four-door sedan leading to a sleek fastback silhouette. This example rides on upgraded 18” AMG wheels which have been customized with a chrome finish that is currently showing signs of pitting/peeling.
Inside, you will find a Cashmere Beige leather interior featuring 10-way power-adjustable front seats with three-position memory and adjustable driver’s lumbar support. Additional standard equipment includes a folding rear center armrest with enclosed storage, chrome-plated door sill trim, a leather-trimmed shift knob, automatic ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic quad-zone climate control, and a Harmon Kardon Logic7 digital surround sound system. The example was also factory optioned with an electronic trunk closer and the $4,740 Premium II Package which includes the following equipment:
This CLS 550 derives as much as 382 HP and 391 lb.-ft of torque from a 5.5L V8 engine, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed driver-adaptive automatic transmission with a comfort and Touch Shift mode. Other mechanical features include speed-sensitive power steering and Airmatic semi-active air suspension with the Adaptive Damping System. This suspension setup also offers a driver-selectable sport mode, automatic four-wheel level control, and driver-selectable ride height with automatic speed-sensitive lowering. A new battery has been recently installed and some additional maintenance records are provided for reference in the photo gallery.
This sale will include a set of two keys, original owner's manuals, a spare tire, tools, some service records, and a clean title. This fastback luxury sedan offers incredible value across the board, do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel.
*CARFAX shows a Not Actual Mileage (NAM) title to have been issued prior to the current ownership in 2016, which is believed to have likely resulted from a clerical error.

The mileage discrepancy is the result of a clerical error related to the transfer of title upon the death of one of the prior owners in the Hicks family. I discussed this with the State of Illinois and the Secretary of State indicated that because the car is more than 10 years old and mileage is no longer a title transfer requirement for cars more than 10 years old in Illinois, they would not update the title. You can see the consistent mileage on the car fax and other documentation and the Mercedes service record at photo 146 was included as I had the dealer check and confirm the mileage and the fact that the odometer was not tampered with (13,761 in November 2018). I have a number of other low mileage vehicles and a separate daily driver and the condition reflects the low mileage. I also presented my title and information to PCar Market who added the asterisk note upon reviewing the information, however, PCar Market does not guaranty mileage in any case. Please let me know if you need additional information or further follow up on this.
Hi Seller nice car, So Why CarFax is showing miles discrepancy? And can you fix that?
Thank you

Hi, I am selling my CLS 550 and I am here to answer any questions. I purchased the car from the original owner's family locally with 8,700 miles on it and drove it over the last five years to arrive at the current mileage shown in the gallery. The car was garage kept since new and stored winters by me. Thanks for your interest in my car.
