The Chevrolet Kodiak/GMC TopKick is a medium-duty truck designed to be used as a cargo hauler or construction vehicle, produced from 1980-2009 over three generations. This 2007 C4500 was configured as a crew-cab dually pickup and has been upgraded with a custom-built hauler body that accommodates a bumper trailer or gooseneck trailer on a bed-mounted ball. It was delivered new in Oklahoma where it spent most of its life before relocating to South Carolina, where it was acquired by the seller in 2021. This C4500 was special-ordered in silver over a Very Dark Pewter leather interior, and was optioned with a 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel V8 mated to an Allison 1000-series 6-speed automatic transmission, an engine exhaust brake, a Delphi heavy-duty battery, automatic engine shutdown with an alarm, an auxiliary transmission cooler, 19.5” polished aluminum wheels, a Dana S14 axle with a 4:56 gear ratio, a rear limited-slip differential, an auxiliary fuel tank, a chromed steel front bumper, LED roof market lights, the Deluxe Front Appearance Package, the Power Convenience Package, the Driver Convenience Package, and remote keyless entry. It has been additionally modified with a custom hauler bed, color-matched exterior parts, LED exterior lighting, custom air suspension seats with a fold-down rear sofa, an upgraded head unit, and a FASS fuel system with an upgraded high-flow fuel pump and filters. It has recently received the installation of a new OEM factory turbocharger in February of 2022 along with a complete service. Showing just under 51k miles on the odometer, this 2007 GMC C4500 is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Missouri.
The exterior was special-ordered in silver and has been fitted with a custom-built hauler body to accommodate a bumper trailer or a gooseneck trailer on a bed-mounted ball. The bed, mirrors, headlight bezels, and other parts have been paint-matched, and the lighting has been upgraded to LEDs, including the headlights, fog lights, and fender-mounted lights. Equipment includes extended towing mirrors, diamond-plated running boards, passenger grab handles, custom rear lighting, smoked LED cab lights, a custom headache rack, a tow hitch receiver, hitch wiring adapters, and a clamshell hood. The Deluxe Appearance Package equips an up-level fixed grille, a chrome heavy-duty steel front bumper, and quad headlights with chrome trim. The seller notes some peeling of the clear coat on the mirrors and front end, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The optional polished aluminum 19.5”x6.75 wheels are mounted with Uniroyal tires.
The cabin is upholstered in Very Dark Pewter leather and features custom power-adjustable air seats and a power-folding rear sofa. Amenities include full power accessories as equipped by the Driver Convenience Package, automatic climate control, a center console with dual integrated cupholders, door panels with storage pockets and beverage holders, tweeters in the door panels provided by the Power Convenience Package, an upgraded touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay, navigation, satellite radio, and a rear-view camera, and provisions for wiring trailer cameras. The seller notes that the center console is missing some of the cupholders and the auxiliary fuel tank gauge sometimes reads inaccurately.
The C4500 is powered by an optional 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel V8, which was factory rated at 330 HP and 620 lb.-ft of torque, and sends power to the rear wheels through an Allison 1000-series 6-speed close-ratio electronically-controlled automatic transmission, which allows for a gross vehicle weight rating of 17,500 lbs. Features include a Dana S14 axle with a 4:56 gear ratio, a rear limited-slip differential, heavy-duty tapered leaf springs, a heavy-duty Delphi battery, an engine exhaust brake, an automatic engine shutdown with alarm, and an auxiliary transmission cooler, in addition to an upgraded FASS fuel system with a high-flow fuel pump and filters. The seller reports that a new OEM turbocharger was fitted in February of 2022, and full service was completed including an oil change.
This sale will include a clean title and owner’s books.

any non commercial use truck and trailer has a default DOT weight limit of 26000 lbs combination weight, if unless the driver has a cdl license. if cdl licensed you can go up to 33,000 combination weight without air brakes. dot does not make it simple or uncomplicated. i have been driving with cdl with race/car trailers since 1975. they have changed the rules countless times. just some hopefully useful FYI
