Now up for auction is this 2007 BMW E64 M6 Convertible finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a Portland Brown Merino Full Leather interior. After a 16 year hiatus, the M6 rejoined BMW's model range based on the E63/64 6-Series and sharing the same drivetrain as the E60 M5. The most powerful engine ever equipped for a BMW production car at the time, the M6 carries the Formula 1-derived S85 V10, delivering up to 500 HP with a rev limit of 8250 RPM. This particular M6 was configured at an original cost of over $108k including Comfort Access keyless entry and ignition, carbon-fiber interior trim, and a head-up display.  Recently serviced, this M6 shows just over 39k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Utah.

This M6 was ordered in Black Sapphire Metallic (0475) with a black power-operated soft top and high-gloss black Shadowline trim. The M6 can be differentiated from a standard 6-Series by its unique carbon-fiber composite front and rear bumpers, side skirts, quad exhaust tips, and M6 badging on the fenders and trunk lid. Other exterior details include xenon adaptive headlights with retractable washers, auto-dimming power-folding heated mirrors, and illuminated door handles. This M6 retains original forged 19” double-spoke Style 167 wheels, which are clad in Continental ExtremeContact tires showing date codes from 2020. The seller notes light road-going wear on the front bumper and rocker panels as well as some minor curb rash on the wheels. The interior is trimmed in Portland Brown Merino Full Leather, including leather upholstery on the dashboard, center console, sun visors, windshield surround, and door panels. Optional carbon-fiber trim extends from the dashboard and center stack to the door panels. Interior amenities include 18-way adjustable M-Sport seats with heating and memory functionality, a leather-wrapped M-Sport multifunction steering wheel, illuminated “M” door sill guards, an M-design instrument cluster with a variable tachometer, front and rear Park Distance Control, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 8.8” iDrive infotainment system with navigation. Some light wear is noted on the door handle surrounds and driver’s side door sill.

Under the hood lies the all-aluminum 5.0L S85 V10 engine which produces up to 500 HP and 348 lb.-ft of torque. The powertrain offers two variable settings, one rated at 400HP and the other at 500HP when the M-Sport mode is engaged. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 7-speed SMG III automated manual transmission and M-variable limited-slip differential, which allows the M6 Convertible to reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 4.6 seconds, with an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH. The M6 also features an M-Sport tuned suspension, consisting of an electronically-controlled variable dampening system, retuned springs, shocks, and anti-roll bars, as well as larger brakes and the M-variable differential lock system. This M6 has just recently been serviced including new brake pads and rotors, engine air filters, and an oil and filter change.
