Now up for auction is this 2007 Audi B7 RS 4 finished in Misano Red Pearl over a Silver leather interior. Of the approximate 2,000 B7 RS 4's imported for the model year, 110 were reportedly finished in Misano Red with only 13 said to have been configured in this particular color combination. This 6-speed example has been treated to some noteworthy modifications including KW coil-overs, upgraded brakes, a performance tune, an MTM sport exhaust, and 20” BBS wheels. Having also undergone a considerable amount of service in the last 1k miles to bring the car up to excellent mechanical order, this 4.2 L V8-powered RS 4 is now being offered for auction by its seller in Connecticut while showing approximately 60k miles on the odometer.
The rare Misano Red Pearl finish is said to be in excellent overall condition with a recent professional detail carried out. Clear Xpel Ultimate paint protection film has also been applied over the front portion of the vehicle from the sunroof forward. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with clean CARFAX. Model-specific features of the B7 RS 4 include a lightweight aluminum hood, flared fenders, silver mirror caps, and a revised front bumper with larger front air intakes. The brake calipers have been recently refinished and 20” BBS LM wheels have been installed, ceramic coated and dressed in brand-new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Inside, the Silver leather interior is reported to be in very nice condition aside from some slight imperfections and discoloration as depicted in the photo gallery. Interior features include carbon-fiber trim, dual-zone climate control, and multi-adjustable Recaro sport seats. A Bluetooth receiver has been installed and the original CD changer has been disconnected. The factory radio remains in place and all gauges and accessories are said to be working properly with a recent service and recharge of the air conditioning system.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 4.2 L V8 engine rated at 420 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque in its stock configuration. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual gearbox and a Quattro AWD system. Within the last 1k miles a carbon cleaning has been performed in addition to the removal of intake manifold flaps, a new valley pan gasket, oil filler gasket, new fuel injectors, spark plugs, ignition coils, vacuum solenoids, valve cover gaskets, and a LiquiMoly oil change. Upgrades recently installed by the current owner also include the following:
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, owner’s books, a flat-tire kit, some service records, and a clean title. Also available is the original exhaust, DRC suspension, and intake setup which can be shipped at the next owner’s expense. An ideal choice for any European sports car enthusiast, this tastefully modified and well-sorted RS 4 is not to be overlooked.

@TMR3 I have a red 08 with double the mileage which I also bought on a whim, and it is spectacular. The factory DRC is a garbage system, the KW coilovers make the car handle extremely well. The maintenance that has been done combined with the mods has made this particular example damn near bulletproof. The first time you wind out the engine to redline (8400!) you'll realize that your impulse buy will be a long term keeper.
@Sialan Thank you Can't wait to add it to the collection.
@TMR3 Congrats!!! this was tempting for me too. I've owned two (black & ibis white)...and they are incredible cars
So impulsive. didn't even know I anted one of these. I like the wheels
Sold for $40,000

LOVE this car. So tempted but I already have 3 toys in the garage. Come on somebody go big!
@TMR3 See PDF included with maintenance done.. lists known "issues" needs nothing urgently.. always odd things to tweak or perfect on a car like this.
Does it need anything?
@TMR3 no accidents apparent or reported... some paint work on the passenger rear quarter... detailed in the walk around video linked above.
Has there been any paint work or accidents?
Bid in the amount of $30,001

@canyonblaster yeah sounds like TTRS.. thickest OE wheel basically the same as the R8.
The other dream mod would be euro wingbacks in matching solver leather with CF backs.. that’s a big ticket item though.
@Dsgray16 I think I did have the TTRS wheel (been a few years!), had the redundant control buttons, flat bottom, super thick.
@canyonblaster I’m personally a fan of the mk2 ttRS wheel on these.. flat bottom and you keep the radio controls. Really I think a euro flat bottom would fit this car well too though.
I personally think this car is too nice to track, especially with these getting harder to find in this condition.. plenty of grey and black cars with 100k miles out there begging to be run hard for half what this car will go for.. but that’s me. Certainly these wheels are for shows and spirited touring.. agree on the idea of 18’s for track use.
I have been lurking on this auction and can't resist commenting. I had a B7 Red/black RS4 as my daily for two years, 2009-2011. It had VERY similar mods, incl suspension swap. I even added a euro RS5 steering wheel (highly recommend to the winning bidder!). I absolutely loved it. I have owned many Audis. To me this is swan song/pinnacle Audi. I only sold it to get a Cayenne GTS so I could tow my GT3 to the track. I suspect the bids will keep climbing. My car had 60K when I bought it and had just had a fresh carbon clean (as this car has). I put 20K on it without a single issue. GLWA and the lucky winner. Oh, I will also add that I tracked the car a few days on the proper tires and a set of 18's. Was heavy but fun.
@Dsgray16 - Thank you for the info and additional pictures; appreciate it.
@Mikeyy39 photos of the front bumper and lip have been added.. note most of the imperfections are creases or scuffs in the Xpel.. the small scratches that are there are under the bumper lip and out of sight.

Bid in the amount of $21,751
Guys, check out the exhaust video I just posted.. gives you a great feel for the sound. The valves are closed for the first 30 seconds or so.. I rarely drive the car in none sport mode... shocking, I know
I owned a 2007 RS4 for 5yrs and just recently sold in 2020. I must say I've been searching for another one and this checks all the boxes. Its such an amazing well rounded car and there is nothing as enjoyable at this price point. Cudos to the meticulous seller and all the efforts to keep this car pristine for the next lucky owner!
One other note on the DRC... the lines and fluid cylinders were left in the car. The connections on the car side were capped with vacuum line caps. I have ordered metal screw on caps which should be here before the auction ends. They will be included with the other parts if they don’t arrive on time.
@Mikeyy39 the DRC did not fail, it was removed with no leaks at the time. I just find a more sporty tunable suspension setup better suits these cars. V3’s are very adjustable but I find the middle setting to be very well rounded for spirited street driving. If I was to track the car... and I personally am not into that with these.. I would look for a set of Ohlins. I ran V3’s on the RS4 Avant build that I did, and then ran Bilstein PSS9’s on the RS4 sedan i rehabbed a few years ago. I prefer the V3’s.
United Motorsports is one of the premier tuners in the country, Jeff Atwood, the owner, is a friend in the community.. so there is a degree of trust there vs say a JHM tune or APR. IMO it’s the best off-the-shelf tune for these cars. It’s meant to help the motor take advantage of increased exhaust and intake flow and squeeze an extra 20hp or so out. It also removes second gear throttle limits and generally makes the throttle more responsive especially in Sport mode.. think of it as an optimization of the car for the exhaust and intake mods.. and not as a big power adder the way a tune can be in a turbo car.
OEM wheels are not included.. there is a list of what is on the PDF I supplied.
OEM wheels are fairly easy to find for about $1k. Though I’d suggest if anybody preferred the stock wheels over a $6k set of BBS LM’s, perhaps this isn’t the right car for them.
No scrapes under the front. I can get pics tomorrow.
Keep the questions coming
Awesome car! Few questions; Did the DRC suspension fail? How does the ride of the KWs compare to the stock setup? I'm not familiar with this tune, what was accomplished by the install? Do you have the stock wheels? Is there any scraping under the front lip?
@td_05 no issues with rubbing. That said if you decided you want to run more tire, you easily could. Could probably go one size up without even raising the car.
The dimpling in the leather in the rear seat could probably be worked out to. Haven’t had anybody look at it. Otherwise the drivers seat just has the normal wear from being used.. still in great shape. I condition all the leather fairly often. I will be posting a walk through video soon which I go though all the imperfections. I also note known issues in the PDF that details the mods and maintenance done.
Let me know if you still have questions after going through all that.
While the car isn’t actually new.. I’d say overall it presents as “like new”, interior included. Certainly it could be brought to show room condition with just a few more cosmetic fixes. Which was my eventual goal.
Hello-
Great looking car!
1) Have you had any problems with tires rubbing front wheel wells with lowered suspension and 20 inch wheels?
2) Please describe any interior flaws. All I saw was perhaps some dimpling on rear center leather seat.
Thanks!
Updates: spent about 4 hours removing the front wheel well liners and cleaning the front undercarriage up.. used a steam cleaner and some degreaser to clean everything up including the suspension and splash guard. I even cleaned out the barrels of the LM’s. Will do the rears next. Will have pics of the rear undercarriage within the next day or two.
Monday I’ll get a cold start and full walk around video. Will also try to get another exhaust video with the camera on the exterior.
Will keep the updates and photos coming as we go through the week.
Keep the questions coming.
Nicest rs4 I’ve ever seen for sale in the US.
@Nadir I do a lot of my own work.. this is the 3rd RS4 I have owned.. the first was a full RS4 Avant conversion from S4. I also own a 95’ URS6 Avant and 91’ 200 20v Avant, both of which are in the middle of major restoration and modification projects. I generally try and do as much work on these cars as I can but of course I still outsource a good deal to shops, like AC work and alignments, fabrication etc. I can add prices to the mod sheet, but it easily exceeds $15,000 in parts alone. The exhaust and wheels alone are $10k..
For power, with the race cats and 2.75” exhaust and a stage 1 tune, I’d estimate this car makes about 20hp over stock. It’s hard to get much else out of these NA motors.. they left the factory fairly well tuned for max output.
Please feel free to ask me to expand on any of this. Thanks.
Beautiful car with beautiful modifications:
1 Although you are classified as selling this privately, are you in the car sales / service restoration business as I might want to do future projects through yourself if I do not bid on this particular car?
2 No prices are listed for the modifications, just the modifications themselves, does that mean that they were installed by you or at your restoration shop?
3 You list the paint modifications but how much did the other modifications cost for parts and for labour or for parts only?
4 What estimate do you have for bhp and torque and at what rpm are those numbers achieved?
Thank you very much and my sincere compliments.
Nadir
Hello Everyone
I bought a new sprint blue one of these bad boys in July of 2007. It is
a 2008 model with 85k on it.
In the 13 years that I have owned it
only one glove box hinge has broken.
This is truly one of the best 4 door performance sedans out there. I installed a stage one APR Chip which
raised the horsepower to 444 and the
torque to 370 and drops the 0-60 from
4.3 to 4.0 flat.
Bid in the amount of $21,500
I’ll have the car out at Hayfields and Zumbachs (North Salem and New Canaan) tomorrow (Sunday) morning for local C&C action.. if anybody in the area wants to see it, please come by.
If a serious bidder wants to come see the car, that can be arranged.
Bid in the amount of $20,000
Amazing! Makes the e39 look meh which is saying a lot.
Gorgeous, just gorgeous. Had a 07 sprint blue and loved it.
Beautiful car, extremely well presented. Kudos to seller!
Also make sure you check out the PDF in the end of gallery.. it details all the maintenance and modifications done.
Welcome all. Please post questions in here so I can answer them publicly. I have gone out of my way to make this listing transparent. This is technically 3rd RS4 resto/build project, so I know a good deal about the platform. Please check out my Instagram story feed (AudiSport_Wagon) dedicated to this car to get a better understanding of the maintenance done. The general goal was to get all the heavy lift work done and pretty much everything else as well. It’s also been modified with what I consider to be very tasteful mods, but also essential mods for unleashing the full potential of these cars. I’ll be uploading more photos and videos over the weekend. Again.. the more questions the better, so please don’t hesitate.
Happy bidding.
