Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Cocoa Special Leather, this 2006 Porsche 987 Cayman S pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.4-liter flat-six. Configured at an original MSRP of approximately $71k, this example features 19” Carrera Classic wheels, the Power Seat Package, automatic climate control, the Bose Surround Sound System, the Preferred Package Plus, Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, and more. Showing about 40k miles on the odometer, this generously appointed Cayman S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts.
This 987 is said to have been refinished in its factory-specified shade of Arctic Silver Metallic. It can be distinguished as an “S” model by its red-painted brake calipers and dual-tipped central exhaust outlet. Optional equipment includes the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package and 19” Carrera Classic wheels with colored Porsche center crests. Standard equipment includes front fog lights, side air inlets, and a speed-activated rear spoiler, while Racing Dynamics exhaust outlets have been fitted. Clear paint protection film has been applied to the front section of the nose, and imperfections are noted. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed in Cocoa Special Leather, spanning the seats, dashboard, and door panels. Optional equipment includes interior-colored floor mats, the Power Seat Package, heated front seats, the Bose Surround Sound System, the Preferred Package Plus, automatic climate control, a remote CD changer, and self-dimming mirrors with a rain sensor. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
Powered by a mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine, the Cayman S sends up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 60 MPH can be achieved in approximately 5 seconds and stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated and cross-drilled discs at each corner. Additionally, Porsche Stability Management (PSM) is equipped as standard. The seller states the ignition coils, spark plugs, and drive belts were replaced at approximately 34k miles.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "You are buying the cleanest Cayman S available with one of the nicest most desirable interiors. Fully serviced, and can be driven for years to come."

@Euro86 Yes, very helpful thanks.
@billyshears Yes, the car has been repainted. I thought that is obvious from the description. No body work. When I brought the car for a full PPI , the owner of the shop and the technicians had conflicting opinions whether it had been repainted or not due to it being a high end paint job that made it hard to tell. It was determined that it had been re-sprayed and paint protection applied right after it. Story has it that the doctor who owned it was very particular with his cars and he wasn’t happy with the stone chips so when he painted the bumper decided to do everything so it can match. Considering this is not a rare 300k+ porsche and that the paint work was done properly at a good shop, I was told if anything , it adds to the value but you never know with some people. Hope this helps.

+1 to the question about prior paintwork or body work. Seller, can you please let us know? Thank you

@EQM no IMS in these cars. They have a different more robust and it doesn’t fail.
Hi, has the IMS bearing issue been addressed?

Hello everyone and welcome to my auction of this beautiful Cayman S. I have owned the car for little over a year. I have driven it for approximately 6k miles.Bought it from another PCA member local to me. I brought the car to my local Porsche shop ( Auto Sport Inc of Shrewsbury Ma) where a full PPI was completed and I received a clean bill of health from the owner of the shop Mark. While the car was all opened up to check for bore scoring , I decided to do an early 40k mile service for peace of mind. You will find the receipt for the work done in the photos.
I never intended to sell the car but an opportunity to build a duplex as an investment property presented itself and between that and the projects I have going on, I don’t get to drive it anymore. ( I am a contractor) My loss , your gain. It’s a stunning spec.
I will do my best to answer all your questions honestly and transparently.
Happy bidding !
