This 2006 Porsche 987 Cayman S comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior. It was optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as heated front seats, the Bose Surround Sound System, wheel caps with colored Porsche crests, automatic climate control, the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, and more. First owned in California up until 2012, this example was then held as part of a private collection in Pennsylvania before the seller’s acquisition in 2022. Showing just under 12k miles on the odometer, this sparingly driven Cayman S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
Featuring a sleek fastback design inspired by vintage Porsche racing cars, this Cayman comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic. Red painted brake calipers can be seen behind factory 18” wheels with optional colored Porsche center crests and Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires from 2021. The seller notes minor signs of road wear along the lower front bumper, a small indentation on the driver’s side rear bumper cover, and two small paint touch-ups on the passenger door. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Black standard leather upholstery and equipment includes automatic climate control as well as the Preferred Package (PPA) which adds self-dimming mirrors, rain sensors, the Bose Sound System, heated seats, and floor mats in interior color. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine sends up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. An Active Brake Differential (ABD) comes standard along with a 4-piston monobloc brake system, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), variable-ratio power steering, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. The seller adds that an OEM Porsche 82mm throttle body and an IPD intake plenum have been installed under previous ownership for increased engine sound and airflow. Recent service carried out in May 2022 at Leading Edge Autosport West Chester, Pennsylvania is said to include a multipoint inspection, an oil and filter change, a brake fluid flush, clutch fluid bled, and the installation of a new battery, cabin air filter, and Stabilus hood struts.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, sales literature, a window sticker, and a toolkit.

To add some context I have been answering in private messages. I am a long time Porsche owner and enthusiast who currently owns multiple Porsche's. I am beginning to focus more time on another car I recently acquired and would love to give the right buyer the opportunity to enjoy this amazing car.

Thank you TarmacDaddy. I agree these amazingly engineered mid-engine machines handle extremely well. That coupled with the 987.1 being the last of generation of true driver's cars before taken over by electronic assists, electric steering, direct injection, etc. is what has drawn me to the 987.1 time and time again!
I am fortunate enough to also own a 997 generation 911; however, I predominantly grab the keys to this 987.1 over the 911 as it is hands down a more fun and engaging car to drive.
It is NO coincidence that the Cayman/Boxster platform has made Car and Driver's 10 best cars list every year since 2006!
Someone will get to be lucky enough to own the 2006 model that started that streak.
I am sharing my thoughts and insights on this 987.1 since I am one of the lucky few to have actually seen it in person. I cannot describe just how NEW this car looks/feels/smells when sitting in the cabin. It is literally like a time capsule of preservation! I know the owner personally and was lucky enough to have driven this example a few miles myself. As you can imagine, everything is well sorted and the machine drives absolutely perfect. Being a 987.1 owner myself, I can vouch for BOTH the car and the owner because I also purchased my current 987.1 from this seller as well. This seller is a long time Porsche owner, who takes VERY good care of his cars. These mid-engine Porsches were initially under appreciated yet now have proven to be amazingly capable performance machines that no longer need to prove themselves to a rear-engine 911. Time has proven just how respected the engineering behind these have resulted in amazing handling capabilities. Nowadays, finding a CLEAN example can be very difficult, but this is for sure one of the few survivors that has been respected throughout its ownership history since it’s inception.
